Rated 5 out of 5 by Kassalee from Best in Beauty 2014 I've been using the Hydro Silk Razor for well over a year and I'm convinced it's the best razor around and I have no intention of looking elsewhere. Razors have always been the best method of hair removal for me, so a Great razor is paramount - never been a fan of disposable ones. Hydro Silk is lightweight with ergonomic styling and soft touch handle makes it easy to hold and shaving a quick process! The blade cartridge contains a water activated moisturising serum, a gel-like substance but I still like to use my moisturiser after shaving. It comes with a suction cup holder for hanging in the shower - never used these, but handy for some. I have heard that leaving your razor in the wet shower area causes it to go blunt and it's best to pat the blades dry and store in the cupboard until next use. My own experience would back that up, as I find a cartridge seems to last forever. It comes with one extra cartridge and I have purchased a refill pack of 4 when it was on special. Not a lot of shaving happens through winter - but with summer weather upon us and showing a bit of leg, I'll be shaving every other day! This lightweight razor gives an excellent smooth and close shave.

The handle isn't too large so it's easy and comfortable to hold when using it and makes sure that there's no chance of it slipping out of your hand when you use it in the shower. The 5 blade head really helps to get a close shave which allows you to get the job done quickly and efficiently. Whilst it is a close shave, its never caused me to cut and scratch myself with the blades. The moisturising serum helps the blades glide over the skin and definitely leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturised. The blades stay sharp for quite a while so there's no need to constantly change the head.

I use to hardly ever use razors, mainly due to the fact that I hate the feel- and the result- and the continuous regrowth and dry legs, however this is the one razor that I will only buy! I like the way this razor is designed; it is curved precisely enough and contours to your body shape (love the way my skin gets a nice closer shave). It contains a nice soft rubber grip which I found really easy to hold onto and get a good curve-like other reviewers have said, I did find that the razor can start to become loose from the holder and start to remove itself. However it doesn't completely detach and I found that I still managed to hold on tight and get a good close shave. The Hydro silk is in built with 5 blades which are supposed to provide a closer shave- and does it ever! You are really given the closest shave ever- it grips all the small tiny hairs and the longer ones, and removes them all- not one hair left in sight, it doesn't matter how long or how small. I personally really loved the way this shaver contains extra blades- it allows for a closer shave that was decent; post use there is no prickly dry skin. The hydro silk contains moisturising strips which on application with water really foam up, & feel like silk, providing beautiful hydration to the skin. When shaving with this razor I actually really like the feel on my skin- it feels really smooth and soft, and I always feel post use my skin is soft and smooth-different to other razors which leave me dry, with flaky skin and leaving my skin sharp & horrible. The actual serum moisturising agents, on the strips really lather up quite a lot- more than other shavers like this, and really provide beautiful hydration & silky skin. I also find that the moisturising serums on this blade lasts so much longer than any other types like this and with each purchase of the replacement heads, I am given the same result and same high quality delivery. The thing I LOVE the most about this razor is that it is so easy to use, and runs smooth up the legs. I'm left with very smooth, moisturised legs that feel amazing. Plus the results last a good week plus even more. Very impressed with this razor and I would recommend it over & over again!

It is shaped perfectly and has a thick, strong yet a very soft handle, for easy sturdy grip. The razor has 5 blades which gives the closest shave possible. The amazing thing about the razor is the moisturising serum strips which gets activated when in contact with water. The razor glides effortlessly without any nicks or cuts. My legs are smooth and moisturised.. No irritation or ingrown hairs. And the shave lasts for quite long.

The handle is ergonomic, the blades last longer than any other razor/blades I have used, and the surrounding moisturiser actually moisturises and leaves your skin soft, smooth and touchable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by marikaxoxo from My favourite razor! I got this in a beauty box and decided to try it for a few months. Definitely my go to razor now, although a little expensive for refills. The quality makes up for it, each blade lasts for a decent amount of time and doesn't get blunt too fast. I like the idea of the serum that comes out as you shave, but the only problem is if you accidentally keep it upside down towards the end of the blade's life, it tends to have excess clogged up. But that's minor. The actual blade is amazing, no cuts and so smooth against your skin. 100% worth it!

I've been using this for the past couple of months, I've used another product but didn't have it so got this one and I'm sold. I've had no Knicks and my skin dose not have that dry razor look about it which I love. I'm sold will not use another brand, unless bh send me tribal. Lol I use it once every two weeks as I'm using a home lazer hair remover ( that's reviewed on bh) it's great no in grown hair scratches or nicks.

I have tried so many different types of hair removal, waxing, the nono, creams, electric shaver.. and this little beauty is by far the best! I usually shave in the shower and do a pretty quick job, consequently I end up with bleeding spots all over my legs. Not a good look. With the Schick Hydro Silk I can shave as fast as I like, even over my knees and it is pretty much impossible to cut myself. As soon as I had tried it I went out and bought some more cartridge refills! The 5 blades means super fast shaving and it moisturises at the same time. Although the moisturiser only lasts a few shaves, it is nice while it lasts and then I just shave with sorbolene. Does the trick ;-) Can't sing enough praises about this shaver. Recommend giving it a try!

It has a nice moisturizing bar that when activated with water leaves a creamy layer making shaving a breeze. The blades are sharp and remove hair with ease, leaving my legs feeling silky and soft. It actually lasts a lot longer than a normal disposable razor, meaning i do not have to replace it as often and get great value for money. Its great for the whole body and the razor glides over all shapes on bumps on the body, giving a close shave everywhere

Rated 5 out of 5 by TheUglyDuckling from Best darn razor so far! What did I get? - No. 21 Royal Vienna and it's a touch too light for my skin tone (I corrected this with powder and bronzer). The razor is shaped well so that it sits nicely in the hand. The colour is quite neutral and fresh looking, and I like how it looks stuck on my shower tile wall. Simple and effective. Five blades?! Holy razor! Talk about being sharp (wink). My take on initial use? - It glides on nicely. Me being a bit of an enviro fan, I don't use shaving cream; instead I use conditioner (which I find softens the hair and is nice on the skin.. as well as smelling lush). It glides smoothly, takes care of hair at the skin-line and I'm left with silky legs. There's no irritation from the moisturising strip or the additional blades (which while there are more than the usual razor, they are thin and flexible... me like). It's easy to rinse off, and simply easy to use. Lasting impression: I'm really impressed with this razor and would highly recommend it. I'm just glad I'm not super hairy as these are also the most expensive razors I've come across thus far.

I had already thought I found my holy grail razor however I decided to give this a chance anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised. Even though it claims you do not need shaving cream, I feel that you do. When used with a shaving cream this razor gives me a close and comfortable shave with no nicks or cuts around difficult areas such as knees and ankles. After shaving I found that my legs stayed smooth for a longer time and I did not have to shave as often. I really enjoyed this razor and it has a lot of great features, such as an easy grip handle, and a snap on cover to cover the razor, making travelling easy. Safe to say I have found my new holy grail razor!

When putting the razor in water a gel like substance activates on the razor making it super smooth and easy to glide over the skin. The razor head moves with the direction of the bumps and curves on the body, making it less easy to nick yourself while shaving. I have definitely noticed that my hairs don't grow back as fast when I use this razor, as it shaves so closely to the skin. I love this product and it will definitely become a staple in my bathroom!

It has 4 blades which smoothly remove my hair. With the blades, there is a green strip of gel like moisturiser which activate when it come into contact with water. This gel moisturiser make my skin so soft and hydrated. This razor is so gentle on my sensitive skin and removes hair perfectly. I used this razor many time and it is still in good condition. Its blades are very good quality and gel like moisturiser is also still working. It can be used several time which make it budget friendly. I never tried this kind of gentle razor before. I am impressed and recommend it for every one.

I usually like to use the Schick Quattro with the wires on the razors so you don't nick yourself, and I have been using them for as long as I can remember, I decided that I would bravely try something new. I can't tell you how glad I am that I tried this! 5 blades means not only do you get a closer shave and your skin feels smoother, but it also means you have to shave less often, which in the long run, is better for your skin! I highly recommend this razor to anyone who is in need of a change. Also, the head of the razor is able to be bent back just enough to accommodate underarms and legs!

I use this in conjuction with TriShave Shave Cream for Women and I always get so many compliments from my boyfriend and I always feel that my shave lasts longer before stubble comes back to haunt me. I still use moisturiser after shaving, this razor does not replace that step at all, but it does provide a good amount of lubricant for the shave (in conjunction with shaving cream) for it not to cause any irritation at all, or shaving rash.

I used it as soon as I got home and was thrilled with the results. It left my legs silky smooth and they felt moisturised as well. Would recommend this to anyone. And on a side note, even when the blades are slightly over used, they work almost as perfectly as the new blades do.

The razor handle is smooth and easy to grip and allows for a controlled shave. I find my skin is not irritated with this razor and that it produces a smooth result. My legs feel smooth and moisturised after shaving. Best of all I think this blade makes shaving quick with no nicks. Also I love the purple and blue colour design. My legs are smoother with this razor and the hair doesn't grow back as quick as some of my other razors. I feel confident when I use this razor.

I just used water with the shaver, no need for shaving gel or foam, the moisturising strips did a great job. The blue rubbery handle is very comfortable and easy to use, especially when doing the backs of my legs and the large head with 5 blades made it easy to use around my knees and contours of my legs. Very happy with the feel of my skin afterwards, very smooth, soft & moisturised. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ms_Billi from Better than the rest This has to be the best razor I have used - and I have tried my fair share or razors! The Schick Hydro Silk Razor is one awesome product. It comes nicely packaged with a spare blade head and a holder for your bathroom as well which is convenient. The results you get from this razor are the best that I have had with a razor! I even compared it to my previous razor by shaving one leg with the Hydro Silk and the other leg with an ordinary razor. Not only does the Hydro Silk give smoother results than the ordinary razor but they also last much longer! So when I did this test, I had one smooth leg and one prickly hairy one - I didn't think that the results would be so different so I was pleasantly surprised. It must be the fact that this razor has 5 blades so it can achieve a closer shave than a razor with two blades. This one also contains moisturizing serum which is activated when it is wet. Overall I have been so impressed with this razor - it has made me like shaving again! It gives much longer lasting results than an ordinary razor so I would definitely recommend it and will definitely be repurchasing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ashleigh91 from Smoothest, most gentle shave ever - Trial Team So I've been using this razor for about a week now on my right leg only while using my normal razor (which is just a one of the cheap ones) on my other leg for comparison. I've noticed that after shaving my right leg has been especially soft and smooth. The product has 5 curve sensing blades and you can really tell because it get very close but its also a gentle easy shave. I haven't cut myself once using it either. It has a water activated moisturising serum built into the head of the razor and it's supposed to moisturise for up to 2 hrs after shaving and I'd have to agree that it does. It's built in discreetly so that not too much comes out at once and the serum is a fine film which helps the razor glide over your skin and then dissolves leaving your skin feeling so soft. It doesn't have a very strong scent, just a clean sort of soapy scent maybe and it's doesn't leave a heap of residue either which is great. The packaging comes with a replacement head for the razor and a shower wall hanging which is great for storing the razor. I really like the actual shape of the razor too. It's supposed to be inspired by water and the handle is designed so its really easy to grip in the shower. I also like to turn the razor around and hold it upside down to get to the back of my leg and its designed to be easy to hold in this position as well which I really liked. My legs stayed smoother for longer with this razor, it left my skin hydrated and less irritated than my normal razor. I loved trailing this, just made shaving a bit less of a chore and I'd buy it again.
