I didn't realise until I got it in the mail that I already did a trial team review for this in the past so I do apologise! But the timing was perfect, I needed a new razor and was going to repurchase this one anyway :) So I'm still very much impressed with this razor, it does the job very well! The packaging is pretty and appealing, the sticky bit actually sticks to the wall like it should (although after a couple of weeks does tend to fall off). The handle is ergonomic so very comfortable to hold, the grip is good, it doesn't slip in your hand. I have to say, I'm not really sure if the moisturising serum actually works or not? I don't use any shaving cream (no time) and I don't moisturise after (again, no time) and my skin didn't feel dry or uncomfortable at all so maybe it does work? The shave itself was very smooth. In the letter it said to shave one leg with this one and the other leg with the old razor. That's what I did. I have to say of course with the new razor the skin felt smoother, but that's to be expected from a razor that's not actually blunt! Regrowth was the same though... I didn't cut myself, the razor head moved smoothly on the curves, it was very easy and quick to get rid of the unwanted hair. In the past I noticed that I used to cut myself a lot under the arms, well not with this razor. It just feels like it's made very well! It comes with 4 refills which is huge!! It'll last me a very very long time...It's super easy to replace the head part. I'm pretty much converted to this razor so will be repurchasing in the future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by cozzle85 from Luxurious, moisturising shaver! I received the Schick Hydro Silk shaver as part of the trial team. For the trial I shaved one leg using the Schick Hydro Silk and the other leg using my current "no frills" shaver. My "no frills" shaver does have a strip of Vitamin E above the blades (as most shavers do these days). The box comes comes with two shaver heads and also a shaver holder which you can attach to your bathroom wall using suction. This is a very nifty gadget and even the hubs was impressed. My first impression was that the shaver itself is very sturdy and has lots of grip so you are in full control. As I shaved my leg, it felt amazingly silky and smooth. It was really easy to shave my legs and felt really good to use on my skin. The moisturising serum is activated by water and it allows the shaver to glide over your skin while shaving off the hairs. It definitely felt quite luxurious compared to my current "no frills" razor. My legs felt smooth after the shave (as did my other leg) but I definitely notice that my leg shaved by the Schick Hydro Silk was more moisturised than my other leg shaved by the "no frills". That night I didn't apply any moisturiser to either of my legs. The next day, both my legs felt both dry lol. The regrowth on my legs appear to be the same on both – there is no significant difference from what I can see. I really enjoyed using this shaver and will continue to use it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amber382 from Better than any other razor I've tried! Was thrilled when I was contacted by BH to take part in the trial team for the Schick Hydro Silk Razor. Being a bit of a beauty product/body care product hoarder, I have tried quite a few razors in my time, but they always seem to be the same - huge awkwardly shaped head that makes navigating knees and ankles a nightmare and cheap soapy shave bars which leave my skin tight and dry. Understandably I was dubious if this razor could impress me any more than past competition, but I was very willing to give it a go! Design: The razor is blue in colour, with a soft rubber touch handle for comfort when shaving and a medium sized oval shaped head (with 6 blades and two thin shave-bars). Usability: The more rounded head of this razor actually makes it exceptionally easy to get around normally tricky spots such as your ankles and knees. The shape of the head allows it to conform with the contours with these spots for a close shave rather than leaving me with the cut up knees I usually leave the shower with! The handle is really comfy and easy to hold, and the grip makes it less likely to slip from your hands while shaving. The shave bars were quite thin, but left my skin feeling soft when I hopped out of the shower rather than tight or dry. Comparison: I compared this alongside my schick intuition and I definitely noticed a difference in terms of ease of shaving. The handle of the hydro silk is much easier to navigate than the short, wide handle of the intuition. The shave bars of the hydro silk glide against the skin, whilst the shave bars of my intuition surround the entire razor head and can actually get in the way. I also feel like the blades of the hydro gave a closer shave, however it was a brand new cartridge so this was probably why. Overall I really enjoyed using this razor, it was easy to use and left my legs soft and smooth which was great. Is definitely my favourite of all the razors I have tried so far. Thanks again BH!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Adelleda from my new go-to razor I was lucky enough to be provided this product to trial by BH (my first trial team! yay!). The trial involved using the Schick Hydro Silk razor to shave one leg, and your existing brand to shave the other, and compare results. I've used my trust Gilette Venus as a comparison (brand new cartridge to be fair). First off, packaging of the product is good, and BH was very generous in providing razor kit (with two included cartridges and a wall mount for the shower), and an extra pack of 4 cartridges. Packaging is good, and there's no unnecessary or extra packaging (I always notice if packaging seems wasteful). As for the razor itself, it is a great ergonomic shape and is really easy and comfortable to use. The hydrating serum around the razors is really nice, I can still feel it moisturising away when shaving, when with most other razors any moisturising strips seems to lose all moisture after a couple of uses, but when running a finger over the Schick hydrating serum it still activates and you definitely feel this on your legs. As for the results, i can feel my legs remain smooth, soft and moisturised after shaving, whereas the leg shaved with my Gilette Venus loses this pretty much straight after showering. Overall, i think i'll be changing from my previously trusty Gilette Venus. And big thanks to BH for being so generous and providing extra cartridges!My legs will be hair-free all summer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Belle88 from Top Razor = smooth skin! Thank you bh for yet another fabulous trial! Razors are something that I cannot live without!!! I shave my legs every couple of days, so I've been on the hunt for a good razor that delays shaving time. Lucky for me, a great razor fell straight onto my lap. The Schick Hydro Silk razor is one of a kind! The five blade razor really gets in and removes all hair, including the stubborn ones! And the hair regrowth is much less as well. The moisturising bar keeps my legs soft after shaving and I find I don't need to lather up with moisturiser post-shaving, as the razor does a great job keeping them soft and hydrated. Comparing this razor to my current Gillette 3-blade, the difference is astounding. I got so many nicks after one shave with my current razor, and no nick whatsoever with the Schick razor. The regrowth time is a lot slower with the Schick, and I found I could get away without shaving for 3-4 days. The blade itself moves to the contours of my legs, especially the knee area and I'm pretty sure this feature is one of the big reasons why I don't nick myself. I can see why this razor has won many awards - it is a top product in hair removal and does the job quick smart! It's convenient and a good size. It is definitely worth the price. You do get value for money. The Schick Hydro Silk is the best razor I've used by far!

Thank you BH and Schick for giving me this opportunity to trial and review this new and improved product! :) I have been using this razor on my left leg and continued to use my old razor on the right for about a week now to really see the difference and boy have I ever! I had totally forgotten how absolutely fabulous my legs can feel after shaving with such a high quality product like this one. Lately I have been using a cheap brand because I just happened to have a bunch I found in my bathroom and wanted to use them up. Now I feel like just chucking them out and sticking with the the Schick! The difference is quite big and surprising! My skin is so much smoother, softer and moisturised as well as the appearance being so much more attractive. I had forgotten what I was missing out on. Now I know it isn't my legs that are making me feel like they look a bit 'meh' but the razor I had been using! Nice to know I do actually have some ok looking pins underneath those sore, spiky, bumpy, ingrown hairs. I am loving the moisture strip on the razor and how it keeps your legs moisturised for up to 2 hours after shaving. I admit I top up the moisturising after that 2 hours is up anyway, especially at night as it is just a part of my routine and I find my skin loves me more in the morning if I do this. But is does feel amazing straight after you've hopped out of the shower. The firm rubber grip handle is great because it doesn't slip and slide around in your hand, so it is nice and safe to use because you're unlikely to drop it. The little suction razor holder is very handy to store your razor on in the shower too. Very good thinking! The blades stay nice and sharp even after a week of shaving with the same blade. It is still giving me the closest, smoothest shave and I am yet to nip or cut myself which is awesome! :) Highly recommended product and I will definitely be purchasing in the future from now on! :)

I can only rave about the Schick Hydro Silk Razor, it does absolute wonders. For the purpose of this review, I shaved my right leg using my current razor, a Venus Gillette Razor and my left leg using the new Schick Hydro Silk Razor. It's strange because I completely forgot how shaving your legs should feel, it shouldn't feel harsh against your skin, itchy and useless. It should feel like it did with the Schick Hyro Silk Razor, smooth, hydrating and like it is actually doing its job! My left leg feels so much smoother than my right leg! It felt a lot more hydrated than my right leg straight after shaving and it still feels smoother and lot less dry than my legs would normally feel after shaving them. The packaging the razor comes in is very femanine and perfect for what is inside of it. The directions are very easy to read and very easy to follow! One thing I absolutely loved about this product was the shower hook that came with it. NO MORE RUSTY BLADES! Absolutely perfect for me and someone who shares a bathroom with others. I will a hundred percent be repurchasing blades for this razor once I have run out and replacing my old Venus for good! The Schick Hydro Silk is perfect for someone with dry and sensitive skin like myself and I couldn't ask for a better razor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by vnv from Smooth Skin, Nick-Free I responded to a trial team invitation and received the very generous package two days later containing the Hydro-Silk handle, holder and 2 cartridges as well as a box of 4 replacement cartridges. The trial requested we shave one leg with the Hydro-Silk and the other with our usual razor. I have always bought el-cheapo razors and am currently using Aldi's answer to the Bic razor (can't get much cheaper!). But hey, it does the job reasonably right? WRONG. Sure, both my legs were shaved after the comparison (so were my arms and underarms) so they both got results. What's the difference? Only a lot. I didn't know what I was missing all these years avoiding the pricey fancy razors. First of all, Aldi razors are for men, so aesthetically the design of the Hydro-Silk (inspired by water) is far, far more pleasing. It is also much more comfortable and balanced to hold, making it easier to control. I am clumsy and almost always cut myself (and at times have sheared off inches of skin whilst shaving, ewww), so this made a huge difference for me. I didn't cut myself AT ALL with the Hydro-Silk. The holder that comes with the Hydro-Silk is great. It is small and discreet, has no problem suction-cupping to the wall and holds the razor nicely out of the way when not in use. My Aldi razor balances precariously on top of the door of the shower, and I am not joking, threw itself at my head out of spite when I was getting out of the shower after my comparison shave. It knows it's days are numbered. The shave itself. Well, two blades can't really compete with Hydro-Silks five, can they? Instead of harsh scraping against your skin, the Hydro-Silk glides very smoothly, I almost thought it wasn't working at first. It has a very gentle and light touch. You don't need to use any shaving gel/soap/bodywash or whatever with the Hydro-Silk. I tried it with and without, it is a slightly smoother shave with the extra lubrication. But it works gently and effectively without if you are in a hurry. Very easy to just grab and shave. It is very easy to remove and replace the cartridges. Just squeeze the tabs on the handle, and the old one pops off, pop on the new one and you're done. The cartridge slides back and forward on the handle giving the razor head a very wide range of motion - this is where the 'curve-sensing' comes from. The results. Both my legs (and arms and underarms) were smooth after shaving with each razor. I noticed the bigger difference in my underarms, where razors have always left black marks and some hairs. I previously attributed this to having abnormally thick hair. I am pleased to now blame a cheap razor instead. MUCH smoother results with the Hydro-Silk. As for regrowth, there was really no noticeable regrowth between the two sides of my body shaved with different razors. But they Hydro-Silk certainly makes the shaving experience vastly more pleasant so the prospect of having to shave again isn't so horrifying. The only sticking point. The price. Aldi razors come out at 25 cents each. The Hydro-Silk refills stack up at $5 each. That's only a 2000% increase! What a bargain! Seriously though, the trial team was very generous so I have six Hydro-Silk cartridges which should sort my shaving-needs for a while. When the time comes to buy new razors I will have to decide if the Hydro-Silk experience is 2000% better than my trusty Aldi razors before I fork out the cash.

The Schick Hydro Silk Razor is very pretty and comes with an extra cartridge. It is well designed for an easy grip and has a hole for fitting the finger in for steadiness during the use. The 5 bladed razor glides really smoothly and gives a close and stubble free shave and I didn't have to pass over the same section again. The water activated moisturising serum left my legs feeling very smooth and very hydrated. Definitely better than my previous razor. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WhiteLily from Silky smooth pins! I was after a new, improved razor, and was suitably impressed when I read that this had won two prestigious awards twice in a row. I went for a stroll down to my local pharmacy to see whether they were in stock, and was pleasantly surprised to find that I'd been lucky enough to secure the last one! I simply cannot stand spending a good ten minutes standing in the shower shaving my legs, only to find that the blades have dulled, and have missed certain areas leaving behind patchy stubble - hence, I now opt for a five bladed razor. The Hydro Silk Razor is nothing special to look at, but appearances can be deceptive. It features a unique, rubber curved handle with plastic grips, which mold to the shape of your hand, allowing a firm purchase on the skin and better control - preventing cuts and slipping. The five keen blades deliver a close, clean shave, and together with the water activated moisture strips, leave my pins smooth, stubble free and hydrated. This means that I don't have to pass over the same section of leg twice, which saves me time and water! I will be purchasing the Hydro Silk from now on.

The refills might be a bit exxy but considering that they last me about 8-10 shaves before needing to be replaced (standard razors I was lucky to get two goes out of) it works out to be great value. This shaves extremely close and glides very smoothly - haven't had any nicks as yet which is great.

The Schick Hydro Silk Razor is very pretty as the design is inspired by water and was ergonomic whilst pleasing to the eye. The razor came with an extra cartridge and a razor holder that is meant to attach to the wall of the shower via suction cups. Unfortunately, it wasn't very good at hanging onto the wall, and came crashing down several times, so I gave up using the razor holder after that. As for the razor, it is an extremely well designed and effective product. The razor handle was easy to grip and there was a hole in it that made it easy to fit a finger there and steady the razor during use. The 5 blades were sharp and gave a precise, close shave, whilst the serum helped the razor glide along and moisturise my skin too. My legs and underarms felt super smooth and silky after use. The razor is easy to manoeuvre, even around knees and the back of my ankles. My legs and underarms were left silky smooth with no shaving irritation. I highly recommend this great razor. Overall, this is a great product from Schick and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to defuzz their body via a quick, effective and economical method! I've always been a Gilette fan, but now I can that I'm officially hooked on Schick :)

I want to give this five stars as I've been using it for quite some time now and I'm finding it has not failed me at all and has fully earned it's way to the top of my list of well-used razors as my very favourite one! It gives me a very close and super smooth shave. I love the comfortable handle for easy grippage and no slippage! The colour is a pretty blue. It has five blades that slide easily and quickly over my skin to leave me with perfectly hairless legs, underarms and bikini line. (When I first tried this I thought it was a very good razor but now I've used it for a while I realise it definitely deserves five stars so I'm taking the opportunity to re-write a review for it for the 'Best In Beauty' award here on Beautyheaven.)

It gives a nice, close shave without the fear of cutting myself because the blades are so close together. The grip is great and really useful in helping you hold securely to the razor in the shower. It also comes with a suction cup and holder for convenient hanging in the shower. Overall, this is one of the best razors I've tried to date and I will continue purchasing refill blades as they are reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MoonStone from Best In Beauty 2013 For the 2013 Best In Beauty Awards in the category of Best Hair Removal, I'm casting my vote to Schick's Hydro Silk Razor to win! For over a year now this razor has been my favourite. It's the only razor that is safe to use, doesn't irritate my skin and will not dry out my legs. I first got my mitts on the razor back in August 2012 through a beauty heaven trial and it's still the only razor that I've stuck with and continued to buy since my trial. It truly is wonderful. The starter kit is still my choice buy. It comes with the razor handle, 2 blades and a wall mount. I always get the mount out and press it up against my tiled wall each time I buy a new box. The mount is so perfectly designed; it's not huge and bulky like others I've used. It's very small and lightweight so it never falls off the wall plus the razor sits wonderfully into the mount and keeps it well out of reach from my children. Not only does it hold well on tile but it always works a treat on glass. So I'm always very happy with it. The razor itself is designed and shaped perfectly to sit into the palm of my hand. It has a nice thick, strong and yet soft handle. Towards the top of the handle there is a push switch which when pushed up pops off the old razor. When I'm due for a new razor I simply pop off the old and push down with the new and jobs done. It's very hassle free and safe. The razor has 5 blades and as I run it over my legs and knees it travels the contours to provide the closest shave possible. The blade rocks back and forth to make shaving a lot safer as I'm not placing any kind of resistance onto it. On the top and bottom of the blades there are two blue strips packed with moisturising serum. As I hold the razor underneath running water, these moisture strips become active and then place a soapy gel onto my skin when I begin to shave, this stops any kind of pulling between the shaver and skin thus preventing a dry shave rash from forming. I love using this razor and I use it at least three per week, even more when it gets hotter. With the smallest amount of water the strips activated and give me the protection from razor burn that I need. The razor glides like butter over my legs and knees and I always get the closest shave. It takes hardly any time to shave my legs and I'm always 100% satisfied with the results. The thickness of the 5 blades ensures that I never miss a spot. When finished my legs feel as smooth as silk and are completely hair free. I have never once experienced a dry shave irritation or ingrown hairs. In fact my legs feel deeply hydrated and moisturised after I use this razor. My legs always look so nice and definitely show off worthy. You can also buy refills for this razor that are very affordable. I adore this razor and it's by far the best hair removal product I have ever tried. I will continue to buy until I simply can't buy anymore. I know exactly why this product is a multi award winner!! Because it's affordable, gentle and effective. I hope it wins it's third award this October!! WINNER!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elunia from It is always easy to remove hair with Schick Lightweight, designed for a secure grip with soft handles and five blades to get real close to your skin. I only ever use razors for my underarm hair and this product never fails to satisfy. I am left with a close shave and it does not irritate my skin. Rated 5 out of 5 by Kassalee from Best in Beauty 2013 Razors have always been the best method of hair removal for me, so a Great razor is paramount and I've never been a fan of disposable ones. After using the Hydro Silk Razor for 3 months, I'm convinced it doesn't get any better! So lightweight with ergonomic styling and soft touch handle makes it easy to hold and shaving quick! The blade cartridge contains a water activated moisturising serum- a gel-like substance and I don't need to use a lathering soap anymore. I still like to use a moisturiser after shaving even if it's meant to keep you moisturised for 2 hours after - habit. Supplied with a suction cup holder for hanging in the shower - never used these, but handy for some. It comes with one extra cartridge but I'm still using the original cartridge. Not a lot of shaving happens through winter - but wiith summer weather upon us and showing a bit of leg, I'll be shaving every other day! Refill packs come in 4, so once purchased will last a while. This razor gives an excellent smooth and close shave. Lightweight with a Great Shave!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ray_jay from Best in Beauty 2013 I hardly ever use razors due to the fact that I hate the feel and the result- and I would hardly ever recommend one so so it took alot for me to try this razor but I thought it looked different and efficient. The hydro silk is in built with 5 blades which is supposed to provide a closer shave- it really does this. For the first time since using a razor I felt like I had the closest shave ever- it grips all my small hairs and my big hairs and removes these all efficently. I personally really loved the way this shaver contains extra blades- it allowed for a closer shave that was decient and close to my hairs. I was not left with prickly dry skin. I like the way this razor is designed; it is curved precisely enough and contours to your body shape (love the way my skin gets a nice closer shave). It contains a nice soft rubber grip which I found really easy to hold onto and get a good curve-like other reviewers have said, I did find that the razor can start to become loose from the holder and start to remove itself. However it doesnt completely detatch and I found that I still managed to hold on tight and get a good close shave. The hydro silk contains moisturising stips which on application with water really silk up and really provide hydration to my skin. When shaving with this razor I actually really liked the feel on my skin- it felt really smooth and soft, and I felt post use with this razor my skin was really soft and smooth- different to other razors which leave me dry, with flaky skin and leaving my skin sharp. The actual serum moisturising agents really lather up quite alot- more then other shavers like this. The moisturising serum in this also has lasted forever- its still going strong and delivering moisturising agents. The thing I LOVE the most about this razor is that it is so easy to use, and runs smooth up the legs. I'm left with very smooth, moisturised legs that feel amazing. Plus the results last a good week plus even more. Very impressed with this razor and I would use it again!

I must say this is the best Schick razor that I have tried. This razor has 5 blades and there is no need for shaving gel as it has its own conditioning gel in it. The blades give an extremely close shave while moisturising your legs at the same time. It really delivers- it leaves my skin moisturised, it gives me very smooth skin, and not dry or irritated after every shave. Very impressed!

It's converted me from creams, and this is now my hair removal product of choice. It's a very well designed product and I like how it clearly has been designed with women in mind. The 5 blades plus water-activated serum both combine for a very close, comfortable & nick-free shaving experience. I also like the unique handle design & that I can store my razor on the shower wall. The bonus blade with the packet makes it excellent value for money too.

It has water-activated moisturising serum infused with marine extracts all around the razor; and also unique skin guards to help protect skin from irritation. This razor is so easy to use – it gives me a nice, close shave with 5 curve sensing blades with no rush and no cuts leaving my skin silky smooth. It also has a soft touch handle inspired by water for a beautiful look. This razor comes with two cartridges and an in shower holder. I have used it sooo many times now and the results are amazing. I love how easy it glides and moisturises I will definitely recommend this product to all my friends and continue to use it myself and repurchase the cartridges. It is my favourite now :)

For me, the test of a good shaver lies in how my legs feel the next day after shaving. This is the only shaver I have used where my legs feel smooth and not prickly the next day. The Schick Hydro Silk comes with one spare razor cartridge and a suction cup shower holder, which I find very convenient. The razor itself is very easy to use. Just activate the moisturising strip by running the razor head under cold water, as directed. It gives a very close shave and I don't feel at risk of cutting myself. The moisturising strip helps the razor to glide effortlessly over your legs and underarms leaving a hairless finish. As mentioned, my legs the next day were still smooth without any sign of regrowth. I will certainly be using this razor from now on. It is an excellent buy and does what it claims.

It's perfect when you are in a rush to go the beach or pool and want to ensure your legs are smooth, clean & hairless. It leaves the legs feeling so smooth, fresh and hydrated. No irritation occurs at all, which really goes to say something given I have VERY sensitive and dry skin. It really if effective at hair removal, and removes even the shortest or thickest of hair. All in all an amazing product that I would highly reccommend for those look for a quick, effective and easy method for hair removal.

I've been using a Schick razor for many years - buying new razor cartridges as needed and been quite happy with the razor and the shaving results. But how lovely to get a new Schick Razor! This Hydro Schick Razor is wonderful! The lightness of it and ergonomic styling and soft touch handle, makes it so much easier to hold and I can shave so much quicker! I usually shave with a lathering natural soap and didn't realise the blade cartridge contained a water activated moisturising serum - I was wondering what this gel-like substance was! It's meant to moisturise for up to 2 hours after shaving, but I always use a moisturiser anyway and find this a bit gimmicky and unnecessary for my use. Otherwise, I find this razor gives an excellent smooth and close shave. It only comes with one extra cartridge, but refill packs are 4, so once purchased will last a while. Think I need to update my actual razor every few years with the latest model from Schick, as they certainly seemed to have made big advances in the years since I last bought one!

The Schick Hydro Silk Razor comes in a neat box with the spare blade as well as the bathroom wall holder, which I found pretty useful Schick Hydro Silk Razor handle is ergonomic, rubery and very easy to hold, but when I first opened the box, I thought that the razor won't be very good, as the blade doesn't seem to be very flexible. However, I was wrong - the razor was incredibly easy to use and it reached all the places! The first time I used this product, I used it with the shaving foam and the results were beyond amazing, the five-razors blade shaved everything off smoothly, with just gliding over my legs and leaving them completely smooth and soft!!! This razor gives a very close shave and the results lasted for quite a few days and I was very happy with that. The next time I used the Schick Hydro Silk Razor, I did it without the shaving foam and the results were just as good. There is some sort of soapy/moisturising liquid inside the blade that gets released when the razor is wet and I'm assuming this is what leaves skin looking and feeling smooth, moisturised and not irritated I've been using this product for a few months now and it is the most budget friendly razor ever! It lasts for ages and later on, you only need to change the blades, not the whole razor, so it is really really fantastic Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of the Schick Hydro Silk Razor and with the way my skin feels after using it - I've never used a razor that left my skin so soft I didn't even need to moisturise. These blades are nice and long lasting, which makes Schick Hydro Silk Razor very good value for money and finally, I am very impressed with the little wall holder provided, as I've never come across that before!! I absolutely love this product and have recommended it to all my friends! It's fantastic quality and price wise!

This where shaving comes in, a quick and easy solution to defuzz yourself in the comfort of your shower. Schick Hydro Silk Razor comes in a kit with the 2 cartridges, handle and wall mount. The wall mount sticks easily to tiles and glass and never falls off like I've experienced with other brands in the past. It is small and inconspicuous and takes up next to no room in the shower. The razor handle feels very comfortable in my hand and has a good grip, which is essential so it doesn't go slipping the wrong way in the shower. It is a nice soft blue colour, a change from typical 'girly' pink razors. The actual cartridge itself is unique as it has 5 blades for an extra close shave. At first glance I was worried that it wouldn't moisturise well enough as there wasn't the usual thick bar of shave gel around the head like other razors, just a row of dots of the hydrating serum. But just a few drops of water and it completely transforms providing such a smooth close shave, the razor just literally glides across body. What I also like about the hydrating serum is that it doesn't drop of in unsightly clumps in your shower, like other shave gel bars, the dots just simply wear away evenly. After drying off my legs felt incredibly soft, like I could go without body lotion, I still put it on though as I have dry skin and out of habit. This razor has not irritated my legs or made them feel itchy in the slightest. I've never had any nicks or cuts with this razor (knock on wood!, just a really close shave that I will get at least 4 days out of before I get prickly again.

The first time I used the razor to shave my legs, I found that the 5 shaving blades worked wonderfully to remove every single hair from the area with ease. It provided a close and smooth shave On the first few uses of the razor on my underarms and bikini area, I found that the razor also responded to the contours of the body really well The razor features a water-activated moisturising serum that is infused with marine extracts. This serum allowed me to have a very smooth shave and left my skin feeling hydrated. For me, I found that this serum was hydrating enough for me to skip shaving cream on some days. It helped the razor glide across the skin much more easily I really enjoyed the way that the razor is designed to flex to the contours of the body. The head of the razor is quite flexible so it allows you to get the closest shave possible. I never cut myself, experienced razor burn, or got any nicks from using this razor. I thing this might have been because of the nifty addition of unique skin guards on the razor which help to protect the skin from irritation In terms of the razor itself, it has an ergonomic handle with a soft rubber grip which makes it easy to hold on to and ensures you won't drop it if you are using it in the shower. Overall this is a great razor for when you are after a close, smooth shave with the bonus of an included moisturizing serum!

To look at visually there is nothing special about it, no gimicks like scented handles but it works better than any I've tried before. I have very thick hair on my legs that grows extremely fast. With other razors I had to shave at least every second day but since using this razor I'm down to shaving only twice a week. YAY! The blades give an extremely close shave while moisturising your legs at the same time. It has a great handle making it very easy and quick to use and it runs over the contours of my legs and underarms very smoothly. It also doesn't blunt anywhere near as quickly as all other razors I've tried. It is definitely my holy grail of razors.

I bought this Shick Hydro Silk Razor Kit from Beautorium a month ago and am extremely happy I did. The kit has everything you need, it's always good to have the extra razors. I found this easy to hold and very attractive to look at. It shaves perfectly, close to the skin and causes to irritation whatsoever to my skin....love it.

I've tried waxing several times and it's just not for me. So I was always on a quest to find the perfect razor, one that was safe to use, one that didn't irritate my skin and one that didn't dry my legs out. And then one day, back in August of 2012 my quest came to an end when beauty heaven sent me this razor to trial and I've loved it ever since. In fact it's the only razor I've stuck with and continued to buy since my trial. I love buying the starter kit, which features the razor handle, 2 blades and a wall mount. I get the mount out and press it up against my tiled wall each time I buy a new box. The mount is so perfectly designed; it's not huge and bulky like others I've used. It's very small and lightweight so it never falls off the wall plus the razor sits wonderfully into the mount and keeps it well out of reach from my children. Not only does it hold well on tile but it always works a treat on glass. So I'm very happy with it The razor itself is designed and shaped perfectly to sit into the palm of my hand. It has a nice thick, strong and yet soft handle. Towards the top of the handle there is a push switch which when pushed up pops off the old razor. When I'm due for a new razor I simply pop off the old and push down with the new and jobs done. It's very hassle free and safe. The razor has 5 blades and as I run it over my legs and knees it travels the contours to provide the closest shave possible. The blade rocks back and forth to make shaving a lot safer as I'm not placing any kind of resistance onto it. On the top and bottom of the blades there are two blue strips packed with moisturising serum. As I hold the razor underneath running water, these moisture strips become active and then place a soapy gel onto my skin when I begin to shave, this stops any kind of pulling between the shaver and skin thus preventing a dry shave rash from forming. I love using this razor and I use it at least twice per week. With the smallest amount of water the strips activated and give me the protection from razor burn that I need. The razor glides like butter over my legs and knees and I always get the closest shave. It takes hardly any time to shave my legs and I'm always 100% satisfied with the results. The thickness of the 5 blades ensures that I never miss a spot. When finished my legs feel as smooth as silk and are completely hair free. I have never once experienced a dry shave irritation or ingrown hairs. In fact my legs feel deeply hydrated and moisturised after I use this razor. My legs always look so nice and definitely show off worthy. You can also buy refills for this razor that are very affordable. I adore this razor and it's by far the best hair removal product I have ever tried. I will continue to buy until I simply can't buy anymore. If I could rate 10 stars then I would. Love it to bits.
