Only checked the ingredient list recently. Adding benzoate to vitamin C is very irresponsible considering the following: What can you not mix with sodium benzoate? Sodium benzoate is considered safe, but scientists have shown that negative side effects happen when it's mixed with ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Their studies show that it turns into benzene, a chemical that may cause cancer.

Benzoates are a preservative and I am highly allergic to this product. Why do you have add such a substance to something like Vitamin C?
