Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deeply nourishing, natural, effective I’ve been interested to try the Garnier Hair Food range for some time after seeing the products in store and advertised on TV. I was luckily invited to trial the Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food as part of BH’s Natural Beauty Month. As a long term fan of Garnier, I’ve been excited to see their brand’s further expansion into hair care with more natural ingredients and environmentally sustainable packaging. I love the versatility of this product; to use as a hair mask, a conditioner or a leave-in conditioner. I personally used this as a hair mask after shampooing and conditioning my hair. I found the texture to be light but gentle and nourishing and consisted of a light but floral-fruity scent. It conditioned my dry ends but did not weigh them down. The product was easy to work through my hair with a lightweight, silky finish. As I tend to have dry ends, I may look to this as a more nourishing conditioner- but I will continue using this as an after treatment. It is more lightweight than many masks I use so I will continue using this as my go-to mask.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective and reasonably priced [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love anything aloe vera, and I’ve used aloe vera products in my hair before, but this is one of the best I’ve tried. It smells so clean and fresh, and not as sticky as other ones. After applying this to my hair for a few days now, my hair is noticeably softer with a nice bounce to it. My hair feels healthier as well, which helps reduce the previous damage I’ve done to it from all the styling I’ve done to date. I recommend this to anyone who wants to give their hair a boost, it’s effective and reasonably priced.

My iso hair is bleached and dyed green and thirsty. I’ve tried the banana variant of hair food previously and really liked it, so I was pretty sure I’d like this. I wasn’t expecting to fall head over heels in love though! Admittedly, a huge part of the reason I’m in love with this is the gorgeous smell that stayed in my hair for hours. It’s a light, sweet and fresh aloe that feels so springtime fresh after the long winter. Hair food can be used three ways- as a conditioner, mask, and leave in. Even though the tub is huge you really don’t need much product per use, and if you have fine hair it might be a little heavy as a leave in. I sometimes put a little into dirty but damp hair and then put it in a bun to marinate. It rinses pretty clean and had plenty of slip for detangling. Five stars from me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Food for hair! Who would have thought! What a privilege to be selected to review Garner Fructis Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food as part of the Beauty Heaven Natural Beauty Box. Garnier is one of my favourite brands for hair care so I was very excited to see this included for review. The Hair Food comes in a 390ml tub with recognisable Garnier packaging. Amongst the list of ingredients was grape fruit extract and that is exactly what the scent reminded me of. Very pleasant indeed and lasted well on my hair. I have used the Hair Food in the three different ways suggested on the pack: As a conditioner : This left my hair feeling very soft and manageable with a pleasant scent. As a mask: Similar to the conditioner but perhaps not needed after conditioner as well, but maybe that was just because I am the older demographic and have thinning hair. Leave in: I was apprehensive about this method so applied at first to wet hair, only the ends. Result, no fly away. The next time I tried it was in between shampoos but applied dry. Not a fan of this as it left my hair a little greasy.

It can be used 3 ways as a wash out conditioner, as a mask and then wash out or as a leave in conditioner for the ends of the hair. It smells lovely and fresh and actually really nourishes the hair. It does feel thick and healthy after using this conditioner. I am not a fan of the tub and would much prefer a squeeze bottle but besides this, its a great product.

It smells good, has a very mild smell but could not figure out what it is. It is a 98% natural origin formula without silicone, parabens, artificial colorants. I used it in all three ways. So as a conditioner it did not do much for my hair( my hair is dry in this weather and there are short hair and flyaways) but it did work better for me as a mask though I did leave the mask on for about 10-minutes instead of 1 minute as directed on the packaging. I liked it as a mask as my hair was smooth, hydrated with no weigh-down, combing through, and detangling was easy but it did not do much for the appearance of my hair. It was good as a leave-in treatment my hair felt smooth and hydrated and also helped with flyaways. I used little more than a 10 cent amount though. The product is good for dry hair and it did not make my scalp or hair oily or weighed them down.

For referrence my hair is waist length, thick, wavy and dry at the lengths and ends. This mask leaves my hair feeling so soft, lightweight and so shiny! I love the fresh aloe vera scent, it is very pleasant and lingers for some time after rinsing. I use as a hair mask for five minutes and love how soft and manageable my hair is after using.

It is a decadently rich creamy texture that is easy to work through the lengths and ends of the hair. The scent is divine, a lovely fresh aloe vera scent that is pleasant and my personal favourite out of the Hair Food range of masks. I have used all of the masks with the exception of the Goji Berry variant (papaya, macadamia, banana and now aloe vera) and the Aloe Vera is now my new favourite. I loved the fresh scent and how it lingered long after rinsing out. I used it as a mask, after shampooing I leave on for approximately 5 minutes. I found it very easy to wash out, despite it's rich texture it was very easy to rinse out and did not leave my (waist length, thick, dry, wavy) hair feeling weighed down at all, on the contrary it felt very lightweight, soft and bouncy. And so shiny! Much more manageable, easy to detangle. This is my new favourite in the range, I love the way it left my hair feeling and absaloutely will be purchasing in future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile I prefer natural haircare and really dislike anything with silicones in it, so I was excited to try this out as part of the Natural Beauty Month Trial Team. This can be used as a conditioner, a mask or a leave-in. 98% of the ingredients are of natural origin and Garnier point out what is (and what isn't) natural on the side of the tub. My only real dislike on the list is the synthetic fragrances, even though their are some naturally plant derived scents it obviously isnt enough and they've boosted it a bit with a fragrance that is not purely botanical. I dont mind the smell of the product itself and find it quite pleasant and fresh. This is in a big tub and isn't too thick, instructions for using it as a mask are to apply after shampoo and conditioner and leave it on for 1 minute. I left it on for a few minutes but my hair was still a bit dry and frizzy. It's for normal to dry hair and my hair is more dry. I prefer to use it as a leave-in, it calms down all of my frizz and leaves my hair feeling nice and soft. I like that it has a variety of uses and am glad I was given the opportunity trial this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective and super cheap! This product comes in a HUGE tub and for the price of $11.95 it's great value! The mask is not too thick and is smooth in consistency. It has a slight 'conditioner' smell but isn't too over powering. The mask is able to be used in 3 ways - conditioner during you regular wash, intense conditioner or overnight mask. I have tried each way and it works well in each use. Using the mask as a conditioner effectively detangle knots and leaves the hair soft. Using the mask as an intense conditioner leaves the hair soft and shiny whilst adding in an extra burst of nourishment. Using the mask as an overnight treatment is my favourite use. It can be applied to wet or dry hair and as the smell isn't too strong I can sleep in it. The next morning, once washed, my hair looks less damaged, has less fly aways and appears healthier. Another huge bonus is that the tub is made of recycled plastic and the mask contains no parabens or silicones - making it a great natural alternative to many other masks available.

I was incredibly happy to have the opportunity to trial the Aloe Vera Hair Food, as I have previously used other products from the Hair Food range and have been delighted by those! I definitely wanted to try this to determine if it’s just as wonderful as the rest of the range and I wasn’t disappointed. The product comes packaged in a large plastic tub with a screw on lid, with the green and white colours of aloe vera. It is white with a lovely thick consistency and the smell is just divine. It can be used three ways, as a conditioner, a mask or a leave-in. My hair is very fine and tends towards more oily than dry, so I used it as a conditioner and rinsed it out within a minute of applying. It left my hair gorgeously smooth and soft without feeling heavy. I love that it is vegan, uses vegetable oils and is 98% natural, with no silicones, parabens or artificial colours. I will absolutely be buying this again as I love it!!!

One of the products I received for the trial was the Garnier hydrating aloe vera hair food which I initially thought was just a hair conditioner but it can actually also be used as a hair mask as well as a leave in treatment which is great! The product comes in a large tub and the product itself is a white cream that has a semi thick consistency but easy to apply. It has a really nice, refreshing scent that makes using it even more enjoyable. The ends of my hair can get really dry and is prone to breaking so I applied it to the middle and ends of my hair and left it in for several minutes before I washed it out. Once I rinsed out the product my hair felt soft, smooth and hydrated. I was happy with how my hair felt and the best part was that it did not weigh my hair down or leave it feeling heavy or looking greasy. If your hair is much drier I would recommend using it as a mask for an intensive treatment or as a leave in treatment. My hair can get knotty but with the product my hair was much more manageable and the ends of my hair felt much softer.

I thought the product smelled amazing, so fresh and clean and it even lingered after I had washed it out. I decided to use it as a conditioner as well as a hair mask. The product is vegan and contains 98% natural ingredients that helps with hydrating hair. The product is creamy but not too thick so I can easily apply it to my hair. After I washed it out it left my hair feeling soft and manageable which made brushing my hair much easier while also keeping my hair hydrated and healthy. The large tub is also great because it will last me awhile so I'll be set for months!

I have used other Garnier Fructis hair food tubs in the past and have always been pleased with the results, so I was really glad to receive this one to trial and review. I'm pleased to say that this hair food is equally as good, if not better. The product smells lovely (it is Aloe Vera scented) and it left my hair so smooth, silky and shiny. The product can be used in a few different ways - as a conditioner, as a treatment and as a leave in product. I used it as a conditioner/treatment while showering - leaving it in my hair for a few minutes, then rinsing it out with warm water. The product is rather thick and it can just be scooped out with your finger tips, it is a generous sized tub, making it good value for money. It contains no silicons or parabens either, or artificial colourants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite of the range! Will buy again! This hair mask/hair food is really better than I thought it would be! I have tried that pawpaw variety and I wasn't so impressed. This product is easy to use and the tub it is packaged in is extremely easy to open and disperse. The product itself smells divine and smells like I'm surrounded by a beautiful garden. It is easy to spread on my hair and is also extremely easy to rinse off after I leave the mask on for a good 10 minutes. This particular variety of Fructis hair food does also not leave my hair with any oily residue and it actually feels much softer after I wash it off and blow dry my hair. I would definitely recommend this hair mask for ladies who colour their hair and also for those ladies with a bit of damage. I definitely found this mask as good as a high quality hair treatment - I will be buying again! Its my favourite Fructis hair food variety now !!

Because of restrictions within Australia I have not been able to go to the hairdresser so I decided to try The hair food I received in the beauty heaven trial team. I was in dire need to try to regain moisture back into my hair! I have been using this product for a few weeks and my hair has never felt better!! My ends are visibly less frizzy and feel moisturised and strong! The best thing is that the hair mask smells absolutely amazing! Next I would love to try the other products from this range because I am so very pleased with the results that the hair food has produced. I have recommended to my friends and family and they are eager to reap the results!

It’s great that you can use it several ways, but my favourite way to use it was as a hair mask after washing. It left my hair feeling so nourished and moisturised, especially the ends where I tend to get dry. The best part is it’s so affordable - highly recommend for dry hair!

I regret not buying this mask any sooner because brushing and combing today only took me a minute by applying a small amount to damp hair. Not greasy or sticky, just overall pleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I’m in love with garnier hair foods. Currently I have the macadamia, banana and aloe and I have to say the aloe is my favourite by far. I’ve found it works wonderfully as a mask, though I always leave it in for a minimum of 20 minutes (not 1 minute like the instructions say) I’ll admit I’m a little lazy though, so lately I’ve just been using a small amount throughout damp hair after each shower. It smells amazing (a little less potent than the others) and does not feel greasy or sticky on your hands thanks to it having no silicones and it does a great job at limiting the amount of frizz, especially if you spread some at the top of your head where you tend to have fly aways. Over all a great product and it’s a plus that it’s almost all natural too. Would definitely recommend.

The serum acted as a pre-treatment, providing an extra layer of hydration and protection. Then, I proceeded with a double shampoo, thoroughly cleansing my hair to remove any buildup and prepare it for the mask. Next, I applied Fructis Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food mask generously, focusing on the lengths and ends. I left it on for around three minutes to allow the nourishing ingredients to work their magic. During this time, I could feel the mask deeply moisturizing my hair, replenishing its lost vitality. After the brief waiting period, I rinsed out the mask thoroughly, and the results were remarkable. Its thick consistency was perfect for a hair mask, making it easy to distribute evenly. As I lathered it onto my hair, I could feel its nourishing properties at work. After leaving it on for approximately 10 minutes following shampooing, my hair felt remarkably soft and smooth. It provided a noticeable improvement in dryness, although the effects seemed to fade after a day or so. While I enjoyed the results it delivered, I have come across other hair masks that offer longer-lasting benefits, which I would consider purchasing instead. On the positive side, the packaging was aesthetically pleasing and sturdy, ensuring the product's protection and longevity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good value Garnier products are certainly worth a try and this conditioner is worth trying if the summer heat has dried your hair. The scent is very light compared to some of their other conditioners and is more of a very light lolly smell which was ok but not special however the conditioner has certainly added life to my sun dried hair and I have a nice shine too which is a bonus . I have also tried the Goji one and the Macadamia one which are also lovely. Out of the three my favourite is the red goji one and I had to stop using the macadamia one as my granddaughter has a serious nut allergy and I could not leave in the shower in case she used it and reacted to it.The prices are realistic and the tubs are lovely and big so very good value and as a conditioner well worth using.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Generous size and excellent value Garnier Fructis Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food was excellent to try. It will last a long time because the tub is so big. It's hydrating but it could be more moisturising however maybe this is because it doesn't weigh hair down. I'd really like to try the other hair food variations. It's a quality product.
