Directions for use:
Brush thoroughly at least twice a day or as directed by your dental professional. Do not swallow. Rinse with a small amount of water. Not recommended for children 6 years or less. Colgate recommends specially formulated Colgate children's toothpaste. Up to 12 hours of protection against bacteria with 4-weeks continuous use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Talk to your Dentist first! I was an avid user of this toothpaste for years (even in previous Colgate purple branding when first launched). In my anual dentist check up end of 2022 I was discussing some sensitivity I was experiencing. While going through the usual types of food and drink consumed, my dentist asked me what toothpaste I was using. I replied Colgate Charcoal. My dentist immediately replied that’s what will be causing it! The abrasive nature of charcoal has been wearing away my enamel! My dentist remarked it’s a common issue that’s increasing as charcoal based products entered mainstream and manufacturers are doing little to educate consumers. They are not intended for daily use! My dentist suggested I try the normal Colgate 12 hour and within a week the sensitivity I was experiencing disappeared. BUYER BEWARE. I learnt the hard way. No advice or warning on the packaging. Try better Colgate you know better.

It tasted like I had been smoking. Unfortunately this product was not for me.
