1. Unfold the mask. Gently apply on clean face. Adjust the mask to the contours of your face. 2. Leave it for 15 minutes and then remove the mask. 3. Massage the excess serum into your skin, including neck or remove it with a Reusable Eco pad or cotton pad.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft & comfortable mask with a slight smell I was lucky enough to get this Garnier tissue mask to trial from beautyheaven. I didn’t know what to expect from a charcoal mask and was pleasantly surprised. The mask is all black which looks cool actually. The tissue mask itself is thick, soft and very moist with a lot of serum. I loved the way the mask wrapped around my face and sat so easily and comfortably. Most of my face was covered, which is a plus! I have tried many other face masks in the past and many don’t sit well or don’t cover my face properly. Because of how thick and soft this mask was, it felt rather luxurious on my skin. There is a weird scent to this mask which I assume is because of the charcoal. It’s not a strong smell but it does smell a bit funny. It wasn’t much of an issue for me initially when the mask was on, but the smell became stronger after I took it off. This was the only thing I disliked about the mask. My skin felt more refreshed after removing the mask. The next day, my skin felt good. I didn’t have any reaction to the mask. Overall this was a pretty good mask for me except for the smell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Refreshing face mask I go the opportunity to trial this mask as part of the BH Trial Team. I decided to try this mask on a day when I had a bit of a hormonal breakout. The mask is very easy to use. It's a tissue mask so you basically just unfold it and put it on your face. I left mine on for about 20 minutes. The smell was quite mild and the mask was nice and cooling. Unlike some charcoal products my skin was not irritated at all. Once I removed the mask I did notice my skin looked refreshed and hydrated. It didn't irritate the area that I had broken out in. I didn't notice that my pores were any smaller after using this mask but my face felt super smooth. The next morning when I woke up my skin still felt smooth and looked hydrated. I would definitely try this mask again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask. This is the first Tissue Mask I have tested in a trial of 4 different Garnier SkinActive Masks. This new Pure Charcoal Mask, is enriched with Black Algae + LHA + HYALURONIC ACID. This claims to visible reduce the appearance of enlarged pores. It is said to extract and draw out dirt, oil and impurities from the skin. To leave skin fully hydrated. It was so easy to apply to my face and fitted with a little adjustment, very well. It was cool and relaxing, the 15 minutes passed very quickly. It did have quite an earthy smell, but it wasn’t unpleasant. I did feel a slight tightening effect, which made me confident that it was working. It was so easy to remove the mask and I was left with such a generous amount of excess formula to massage into my skin. After about 5 Soothing minutes I removed all traces with a few cotton pads. My skin felt marvellous, it felt so fresh and clean. I’m sure it cleaned and reduced the pores on my nose. The effects were still visible to me several days later. My skin felt smoother. I would recommend this as a treatment mask every couple of weeks. My skin type is normal, non sensitive and mature. I love that this has a paraben-free formula.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super refreshing I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to trial this product and I really enjoyed using it! Getting the mask out of the packet and unfolding it was a bit hard as it was quite sticky and messy. However, once I put it on, the mask fit the contours of my face quite well and stayed in place. It was comfortable to wear and I could move around easily. There was heaps of serum in the mask so I used the excess to spread around my neck. I kept it on for 15 minutes and then removed the mask. I removed the excess formula with a clean cotton pad. My skin was left feeling so much more refreshed and hydrated which was impressive. I also noticed a reduction of redness which was a major bonus. My skin is naturally quite dry and sensitive so I was surprised that the mask didn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dried out. The mask really exceeded my expectations as it has such an affordable price tag. I would be using this again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A nice mask that's good for a pamper session. I was lucky enough to receive this mask as a part of the Trial Team for the range of Garnier sheet masks. Having a recent bout of breakouts, I thought it was the perfect time to give this mask a trial run. As far as my skin is concerned, I have breakout prone, oily/combo skin with quite large, visible pores through my T-zone; so I definitely tend to gravitate towards charcoal based products when I need a good cleanse and to pull out any gunk and build-up. This sheet mask comes pre-soaked in a serum-like substance and is ready to be used straight away. What I first noticed was that the fluid was clear, and the mask was the 'charcoal.' This threw me off a little as I expected there to be charcoal in the formula itself; though upon reading further, it is actually infused with Black Algae. The mask itself fit nicely to my face - maybe could have had more forehead room... but hey, one size doesn't fit all! The fluid felt nice and cooling on the skin and I proceeded to leave the mask on for the suggested 15 minutes. Upon first impressions after removal, I was pleasantly surprised that it actually did what it claimed to! It reduced the appearance of my pores, which is no easy feat. I'm assuming that it did so by clearing out any build-up I had, making them look more refined as a result. Safe to say I am definitely impressed. I wish it had more of an effect on breakouts though, as large pores/oily skin and breakouts often go hand-in-hand together. Other than that, I would happily repurchase this if I was on the hunt for a sheet mask that is nourishing, pampering and reduces the appearance of pores (even if only until they become clogged again!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Immediate Results I was lucky enough to be chosen as part of the trial team for this mask and tried this one last night - I just could not resist as my pores have been quite clogged and was keen to try this first of the 4 supplied. It comes in a medium size pouch that is easy to open by tearing the top off, the mask is neatly folder and placed in the pouch. The sheet mask itself is all black and has a gel like consistency on it. I found it a little fiddly to unfold before putting it on to be honest because it has a few slits it was hard to open it all up in one go. As for the size; the width & length were fine and fit my face well, the only section that didn't was the nose part, that was too small, so I had to try fidget and stretch it out a bit to cover my nose as that was where all the black heads mainly are! The mask was relaxing to keep on, it wasn't very cool as I thought it would be, being a mask but it felt relaxing having it on especially after a long day! After leaving it for 15 minutes I then took it off and rubbed the excess "gel" into my skin. I noticed a change in my pores immediately after removing it they seemed a lot less obvious and more blurred I guess so that was unexpected! I didn't think it would work straight away but I did notice a difference immediately and my skin felt soft & hydrated. I also had some dry/pink patches on my face they had disappeared which was great! After removing & rubbing in the excess it started to absorb and dry, so I could feel my skin start to tighten slightly as I didn't apply any moisturiser or anything afterwards- not sure if you’re meant to but it wasn’t too bad? Next morning my pores weren’t looking as great as they did when I first removed the mask, but they are still not as obvious, so they have cleared up compared to what they were before. I would say after using a few times it would be great if it made a difference after 1 use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Refreshing and nourishing Like all Garnier masks, I found this one really easy to use. It was perhaps a little more delicate than some others, but with careful handling I was able to use it with no tears or trouble! The mask is well soaked in serum, with plenty left in the packet for extra application. There was very little scent, and the product felt cool and refreshing while on my face. I used the mask at night, and left the serum to work its magic while I slept. In the morning, my skin looked nourished and plumped. I couldn't immediately notice a difference in the size of my pores, but it may take repeated use to achieve that. I am prone to blind pimples on my chin, and enjoyed a few weeks of clear skin bliss following on from using the mask. That alone makes it worthwhile!

The product was extremely enjoyable to use and it did not feel intense or irritating to my skin. The mask was easy to apply to the skin and felt cooling against my skin. I loved the moisture that my skin got from this mask. The mask feels really nice on and is simply to remove. I massaged the excess mask liquid into my skin once I removed the mask. The mask left my skin looking fresh and bright. The size of my pores were not reduced and I found the mask to bring breakouts to the surface. I would not recommend the day before an event or on the event as the mask brought the toxins and blemishes to the surface of my skin. My pores were not reduced in size however my skin was refreshed and hydrated. I would definitely buy this mask again but I would not use right before a big event.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is an excellent mask to minimise pores and to prevent breakouts. Really economical it's great value for money for the results. The sheet mask is easy to apply and contains loads of serum to totally coat face, there's also plenty to do the neck area and even the back of my hands with the leftover. It absorbs quickly and was so easy to rinse off in the shower, no mess. After using this my skin feels super soft and hydrated and looks really fresh and nourished, more youthful and radiant, I lose any tired look in my skin. It feels really cooling and soothing to wear and there was no irritation to my sensitive skin. There are more expensive masks on the market that offer a much more amazing result but overall for the money this mask is great value and does a great job of purifying, hydrating and minimising pores. Love the charcoal and black algae for great results. I highly recommend this mask

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As a girl who struggles with oily skin and larger pores I am always on the look out for products which include the words 'pore refining'. I tend to be skeptical of a lot of sheet masks as sometimes they can struggle to stay on the skin or only offer surface hydration which only lasts a mere couple of hours. I was super impressed by the feel and smell of this mask. Initial thoughts was the appearance of the mask, it was a thin sheet tissue saturated with the fluid which remained on the tissue, so very easy to apply. The scent was a light fresh botanical scent, very refreshing, it was so comfortable to wear I left it on for twice as long as the recommended time while watching TV. After removing the mask, the gel residue was left over on my skin, I gently massaged this and removed the rest and followed up with my normal skincare routine. My skin was left feeling hydrated and plump, I didn't see a massive change in the size of my pores they pretty much stayed the same, nevertheless my texture improved and overall radiance of the skin looked fresher. The whole process was very easy and effortless you could easily use this before a big event or when your skin needs a pick me up before makeup application. I will definitely repurchase just for the hydration and relaxing scent, seeing if I get different results next time!

I was very impressed my pore looked to appear smaller in my provlem areas! \n\nThis was also an intrest to me because i have quiet dry skin so my skin is always looking for a drink! This mask left my skin full of life!! My face felt smooth, soft and hydrated. \n

This mask also fit my face well and better than the other masks by Garnier. The only thing I don't like about this product is that you only get one mask and can only use it once, so the price tag on it is a little expensive for what you receive.

It didnt do too much that my skin was irritated (i have sensitive skin) but just enough to benefit from a good clean after noticing some congestion on my face. It wasnt too sticky after taking the mask of and the quality of the mask was great. I did notice that my pores were cleaner afterwards. I will be purchasing more!

My pores weren't made invisible or anything but they did look better, which I could see right away. I found it definitely did also hydrate my face - again with noticeable results right away. For thes price I think this product is worth it. I didn' have any reactions or problems with this mask at all , nor did I find the scent overly strong or offensive. All in all a reasonably priced mask which does what it claims.

It also was a pleasure to try the mask which encouraged me to treat myself for 15 minutes. The application was easy and the instructions on how to use was clear. I was skeptical that I would see a difference in my pores as I have tried numerous products that claim to do this but don't deliver. I really did see a reduction in my pores...they weren't so pronounced. The texture of my skin felt great and have found applying makeup is much easier and requires less product to get good coverage. I would buy this product again....even just to treat myself and to scare a few peeps with my black mask!!!

The mask itself had lots of product in it, and despite leaving the mask on for around 20 minutes, there was still a fair bit of product that I could pat into my skin afterwards. My skin felt amazingly soft and smooth, and the next day my skin still looked incredible - so much so that i didn't feel the need to wear any make up! Would definitely be interested to see how my skin would go after using this mask for a few days in a row, as the pack suggests.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a good mask. To be used on cleansed skin, like all other masks, the formula is not watery - meaning less spillage onto the floor. \nThe mask itself is SO SOFT!!! SO VERY VERY SOFT. It is fantastic, would definitely repurchase simply because of this reason. \nIt adhered to my face easily and securely because of how flexible it was and was extremely calming and comfortable. Afterwards my skin was baby soft, hydrated and pores did appear smaller. \nThis affect lasted similar to other tissue masks I've tried (lasting ~24 hours) and then my skin reverted back to its oily, pore defined self.\nI would recommend this product to try for those with combination skin type who enjoy a good mask. And would try the other version of it. \nOne star off- not the biggest fan of the smell. It is the same smell as the other products in this range, although not as strong, but reminds me faintly of morning fresh.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Having not heard of using black algae in skincare products, I was intrigued and excited to try Garnier’s Skin Active Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask with Black Algae. When opening the mask itself, I found it hard to unravel as there was a lot of product absorbed into the mask and I didn't want to tear it. After unravelling the mask, I found that it was easy to stay onto my face, it didn't slide off when I was sitting upright and it fit nicely on my face and around the eyes, mouth and nose with the excess mask easy overlapping on my cheeks. My skin felt nice and rejuvenated after the mask with small changes to the size of my pores. There is a slight smell which at first was a bit too much, but after a while, I was used to it. I would recommend this mask as a pre make-up mask to minimise pores and prep the skin. \n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was really sceptical that a mask could refine pores but this actually does what is says, my pores were visibly smaller and more refined. \nThe mask is like any other sheet mask but without the annoying backing to peel off.\nThere was plenty of serum to spread down your neck after removing the mask, and it absorbed quickly after removing and didn't leave any residue. \nMy skin felt quite hydrated. \n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was really impressed by this tissue mask as it left my skin feeling plumped, hydrated and glowing which had a short term effect of minimising my pores but nothing long term after just one use. My skin still felt really great the next morning and even 24 hours later my face still feels soft and hydrated. At first I though it was going to end up dripping everywhere as there is plenty of fluid in the foil sachet but the mask itself was quite thick and strong, almost like fabric, and this seemed to hold onto the liquid really well with no drips at all. I did have to stretch and tug the mask into place but the strength of the mask meant this was easily accomplished with absolutely no tearing, I did find that the mouth cutout was just big enough for me and I have a pretty small mouth so for some users it may take a bit of tugging to get it just right. I'm highly sensitive to scents so trials can sometimes be a challenge for me but this mask has a beautiful, light, marine scent that I found quite relaxing and not overpowering at all. This mask was so comfortable that I left it on for twice as long as suggested as I was reading my book while relaxing, after peeling it off there was plenty of gel-like fluid left on my skin so I massaged this into my face and neck then blotted away the excess with a tissue. For me this mask is so close to being five stars because it left me hydrated and glowing but because it claims to minimise the look of pores, something that really wasn't particularly obvious after just one use, I feel like I can only give it four stars but I will definitely be buying it in the future so maybe I'll see better long term effects, fingers crossed.

I don’t think it really did much more than that with one use but I think if I continued with regular use that it would greatly improve my pores. It had a slight tightening sensation as well!\n\n

However, the instructions provided by Garnier were to use the mask 3 times per week- by only trialling one mask it is difficult to give a detailed review. After one application, my skin felt much softer and pores were a little less noticeable. I would definitely use the mask again, however would like to see them sold in a set of 3.

I lived in South Korea and have tried thousands of sheet masks. It was exciting for me to try a sheet mask that wasn't created by a Korean or Japanese brand, to see how they compare. The Garnier charcoal mask did just as promised. It was extremely easy to apply and fit my face well. After I removed it off my face, I let the remaining serum absorb into my skin. At first it was extremely hydrated and felt very smooth. Once absorbed I could visibly see a slight change in my pores. They did seem less noticeable. My skin felt extremely soft and smooth. I would definitely use this mask again. I actually wish we had at least 3 days worth of masks to trial over a period of time. The instructions recommended using the mask over a few days to see more of an effect. I believe this would have definitely made a difference. Overall I would highly recommend this product and would love to use it again (for a few days) to see its true potential.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I found the mask quick and easy to apply and it fit on my face well. \nAfter using this mask i noticed that my pores did appear slightly smaller, and my skin felt soft and hydrated. \nI don’t feel like the effect was long lasting but it did make a small difference to my skins appearance immediately after use and the next day. \nI would use this product again for a quick skin treatment. \nI would recommend this to people who have an issue with large pores as it can help to reduce their appearance.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This mask was impressive on my combination oily, breakout-prone skin. My visibly clearer skin's texture was more refined, smooth and pores were noticeably smaller. Great results for only one application and I love how convenient and travel-friendly the individual sachets are. Will definitely use again and recommend.
