Go Purple: How to Use Elvive Colour Protect

Step 1: Apply Purple Shampoo

Once a week, or whenever hair looks brassy, apply Elvive Colour Protect Purple Shampoo. Use the same amount as your regular shampoo.

Step 2: Leave on Shampoo

Massage into hair and leave on for 1-3 minutes. For grey hair, leave on for 1 minute. For highlighted brunettes, leave on for 5 minutes for optimal results.

Step 3: Apply Conditioner

After rinsing Purple Shampoo, apply Elvive Colour Protect Purple Conditioner to damp hair. Use the same amount as your regular conditioner.

Step
4: Leave on Conditioner

Massage into hair and leave on for 5 minutes. For highlighted brunettes,
leave on for 10 minutes to achieve optimal results.

Directions

Use once a week to complement your regular Elvive Colour Protect routine. Massage into hair and leave for 1-3 minutes before rinsing well. Follow with Elvive Purple Conditioner.

I primarily use purple shampoosbto help keep my highlighted hair toned, preventing brassy tones.\n\nI started using this one about a month ago and I've really noticed a difference, I find it holds the tone a lot longer compared to others on the market. The shampoo has that vibrant purple colour so I know it really works.\n\nThe packaging is pretty, component is purple to make it easy to identify. I would prefer the bottle to be a bit bigger, however it wouldn't stop me from repurchasing. The actual shampoo smells divine, reminding me of lollies. \n\nFor anyone looking for a purple shampoo that actually does what it claims I would highly recommend this one, and not only does it smell great but it leaves your hair feeling super clean too!\n

I often spend $30 - $50 on a purple shampoo and couldn't believe the success of the Loreal shampoo. It is less drying than other shampoos I've used. I do need to leave the product in for a little bit longer but I'd say worth it for the price.

It removed any brassiness that my hair had didn’t dry it out and had no offensive smell which was really nice. Because my hair is quite thick and really curly I did have to use a reasonable amount which wasn’t so great but I’m quite used to that.

Having regularly used other quite expensive shampoos to keep my highlighted hair from developing those brassy tones, I was very surprised at how good this product was. It is nicely fragranced and creates a rich lather, although it can leave hands and hair line looking slightly dark. However it left my hair looking and feeling great, and refreshed my blonde highlights well. Will definitely be using this shampoo again!

It’s highly pigmented - you can see it on your hands after use (don’t worry it washes off). It smells nice and floral and my hair was definitely ashy and brighter after using. Only negative I have is I found my hair was quite oily on day 2 after washing.

I have naturally brown hair with blonde highlights, with other purple shampoo's I have had to use the purple shampoo and then go in with my regular shampoo and conditioner as I felt that the purple shampoo was not cleaning my hair have used other purple shampoo's and then. This was not the case with this product - It got rid of the brassiness in my hair and gave a deep clean.\n\nWill definitely keep using this as it is far cheaper than buying my regular shampoo + salon purple shampoo as I can now just use this for all!\n

My colour had been done relatively recently and it was not brassy or in need of removing yellow/orange tones which usually come at the end of a colour cycle so I’d love to try it a bit later. My only watch out is it stained my white towels when I flicked my hair in the shower (it came out after an immediate wash – butt hat’s a user error) and my fingers slightly, so if you had a light coloured mani it may need some care. Overall iti s a thumbs up from this blonde, the price is very good and the quality solid!\n

I have highlighted brunette hair and this shampoo definitely reduced the orange/brassy look to my hair, so much so I've had so many people ask me if I just got my hair coloured. It smells amazing and lathers up nicely, definitely use it in the shower otherwise it can be a bit messy. I used it together with the conditioner and found this gave me the best results. It is something you have to use on a regular basis but for the price I'm happy to do so! Great product, that does what it says it will, and I'll be happily purchasing it to add to my hair care routine in the future.

Leaving it in for the recommended time is important, and after the first use I did see results. Second use was even better! \nIt is super cheap and not too foamy, lathered well and was surprisingly good at deep cleaning. The product is a bright purple so I was worried about stains in the shower or skin however it came off easily just with water.\nThe only downside was I found it quite drying, though I do already have dry / damaged hair. \n

I used the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Colour Protect Anti-Brassiness Purple Shampoo and Conditioner on my fine blonde highlighted hair that hadn't been coloured in 4 months and I was really pleasantly surprised at how much it reduced the yellowness of my hair! It smells great too. I did one shampoo and one conditioner as instructed on the bottles. Then I got new highlights that same week and tried the shampoo and conditioner again. This time I had a greasy build up of hair on the back of my head. I am thinking that may have been because I don't wash my hair very often (every 4 days due to sports - no sense washing my hair until after game day) and the dry shampoo builds up so I should really ignore the on-pack instructions to single shampoo my hair and double shampoo my hair instead as I normally do. Hopefully that solves the issue because I think this product is really great and want to keep using it.

I firstly love the smell of the shampoo - it smells like I've just had my hair washed at the hairdressers. I've been a longtime user of purple shampoos and conditioners and I have to say that this product does just as good of a job as the high-end products that I have previously used... if not better. The only negative thing I have to say about this shampoo is that it has the tendency to stain my hands. It's not a massive issue because my hands don't stay stained for too long however, this isn't something that I have experienced with any other purple shampoos. All in all, it's a great affordable shampoo which I'll definitely continue to use.\n\n

I was pleasantly surprised, so affordable compared to other expensive purple shampoos I have purchased and on par with quality. Love that it is such an easy to use non fuss product. It does not stain my hands or leave my bathroom a mess like my other purple shampoos. Also very pleasantly surprised with results, leaves my hair with a nice clean blonde colour. I also like that the product feels nice on my hair when shampooing, it does not feel harsh and there is no strong chemical smell. Highly recommend use 1-2 times a week to keep colour well maintained!

The pigment in this shampoo is next level and really knocks brassiness back in one wash. It's often hard to find a purple shampoo that doesn't feel like its stripping your hair, but this one really provides a moisturising cleanse. The only CON that I have found is that it really stained my hands. This would most likely be something I alternate with my normal shampoo so that I don't end up staining my highlights as I feel that could be possible with constant use and such intense pigment.

It didn't make my hair dull or grey like some other purple shampoo I have used in the past, so I really liked that. \nI would recommend to just take care because it could stain your hands, but it washed off easily enough. \n
