Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gentle cleansing oil I haven’t ever used a product like this before and always used a standard cleanser so was keen to compare. I did find this quite an off product being so oily, whilst it was light and not a bad feeling it left my skin somewhat oily and felt almost like applying a serum. I didn’t find it removed my makeup as well as a standard cleanser nor did I have that same ‘clean’ feeling after a proper face wash. It may have been coincidence but the next few days after using I also broke out in pimples which could be to do with my oily skin and this product also being oil may not have been best for me. However, whilst I didn’t mind the product I much prefer a cleanser. I did like it nourished my skin and didn’t dry it out but the oily residue was unappealing for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fantastic product, but strong fragrance This product comes in a large 400ml bottle, with a clear liquid and separated blue liquid at the top that you need to shake in order to mix together before use. On opening, the scent is subtle and pleasant and does not appear to be too strong. It is very easy to disperse on to a cotton pad once mixed. Using it on your face you instantly get a strong smell of the fragrance. The result after using is a very squeaky clean and smooth face. It is very effective in removing any last reminant of make-up. It is quite hydrating and not too drying, and not oily at all. The result is fantastic. But I have a but. Which is enough to deduct two stars for me. The scent is just far too strong once applied to the face. The bottle states that it is a no-rinse formula. As a person who is very sensitive to heavy fragrance, I found personally that I did have to rinse it off. I was unable to leave it as is on my face. In saying that, I usually get red and irritated skin when something is heavily fragranced, but this did not cause me any irritation. So it is very suitable for sensitive skin. I imagine if you are not sensitive to heavy fragrance then this will be a 5/5 product as the results are fantastic. Your skin is smooth and clean and refined. But if you are sensitive to fragrance like me, in order to use this you will need to rinse off with water to dilute the scent. I really like this product and am so sad that the scent is just far too strong. If they halved what it is now, perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a fan. When I got this I was so excited because it said that it can be used on the eyes without irritation. Great - I thought, that's exactly what I need it for, since that's where I usually need to remove make up. My mascara isn't even waterproof and it was quite a pain to remove with this micellar water. Plus it really stung my eyes and left an oily residue. Like, I guess it works, since it did get the mascara off eventually, but it's just so much trouble to use that I'd rather not. I tried using it on my face, and it seemed to remove the make up but definitely required washing off with a cleanser.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best for me I was lucky enough to be able to trial this product as part of Trial Team (thanks BH!). I was pretty excited to be able to trial the product as i'm a big fan of micellar water and always willing to try something new to see how it compares to what i'm currently using. Firstly the packing is great, it's quite a bit sized bottle so will definately last a while and would be good value for money if you did have to purchase yourself. It does not have an offensive smell at all either which is always a positive for me. Unfortunately that is where the positives ended for me. I actually do have quite senstive eyes and skin and this water i found really made my eyes sting quite a bit :( i found that even when i didnt have to rub my eyes to take the mascara off it still stung even if i was just placing over my eyes. So i will not continue to use this product i'm afraid, as it just wasnt right for me!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I didn't like this product much at all. It cleaned the skin well and removed my makeup but didn't like the feel. I shook the bottle heaps before I used it to mix the oil but it didn't work. When I applied it to my skin all I could feel was the oil residue. I would be ok to use to take your makeup off before a shower but couldn't be used during the day unless you washed your face after.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garnier makes a bunch of products that I love, but this is not one of them. The products key promises are that it completely removes makeup, it doesn't sting your eyes, and it doesn't require rinsing. I tried this product out using it to replace the first step in my two-step cleanse (instead of an oil cleanser) of an evening. On the first try it stung my eyes as I tried to remove my eyeshadow and mascara, and I needed three cotton rounds to remove my whole face. The second time I was wearing much less makeup, only tinted moisturiser, brow and lip products. I used this as a one-step cleanse, and found that I still had product coming off my face when I applied toner (this is not normally the case). Each time I used this cleanser, I had similar results, and never felt like my face was fully clean--though I was able to avoid any stinging eyes by using a lot less on each cotton round, instead of "soaking" it like the instructions recommend--and failing to remove all traces of makeup can severely irritate the skin. Overall, I would suggest giving this one a miss. There are plenty of good sensitive skin cleansers at this price point.

You have to shake it multiple times to get the oil and water to incorporate and it has quite a strong (to me) fragrance that lingers up to a minute after wiping. I felt like it cleansed well but left my face with a thin oily residue where I had to wash my face again to get rid of. Also, I have sensitive skin and I notice more little whiteheads after using this product. Will not repurchase.
