General Information

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Promising [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I experience hair thinning/loss at my widows peak and it becomes more noticeable year on year. Therefore I was ecstatic when I was selected for this Trial Team. I’ve been trialing this kit for the past 3 weeks so I expect this review would be different after 1 year of continuous use. Having said this, even with just 3 weeks usage I can already see promising results. The hair near my widows peak are all quite thin and short no matter how long I grow my hair however these days I feel like they are slightly thicker and longer than before. The treatment produces a tingly effect when applied to my scalp which must be the caffeine stimulating the hair follicle. I’m excited to keep using this kit until I empty the bottles and see the results then. One thing to note is that the conditioner isn’t as moisturising as I would have preferred. I found that I had to recondition my ends with another conditioner while using this kit otherwise my hair feels dry and not as silky as before.

Begining with the end result because that's what we're all here for! After 20 days usage I definitely feel that my hair is thicker to the touch. I should have taken before and after photos but I can feel it and notice it when I look in the mirror. I feel that there must be more new hairs coming thru which is a great result. The shampoo is blue, foams very well and doesn't smell amazing but it's okay to use. It has a peppermint scent and rinses clean with no residue. I love that the conditioner is able to be applied from the roots as most are to heavy and greasy to be used on the scalp. The texture is quite thin and I found I needed a fair bit to take effect. It rinses out clean and my hair was tangle free. Unfortunately the entire system has dried out my hair so much. I almost feel like I'd rather have thin hair than extra dry hair 😢 I use hair oils and masks to try to combat this however so will have to see if this helps in the long run. I enjoyed using the after serum for the scalp. It's nice to take a few moments to give yourself a scalp massage before bed. The smell for me was a bit strong and a bit too chemical but it dissipates quickly. It didn't leave my hair oily or greasy at all. Overall this system has improved my hair thickness at the cost of feeling dried out, but if you are after the fuller feeling hair then this is a great affordable product range for you!!

I honestly didn't think there was a product that would actually work out there for my thinning hair because I've tried them all and they mostly seem to only work temporarily. This product has been a game changer for me. I would highly recommend it to people who experience hair thinning of any magnitude, especially when it is hormonal. I'm so happy with how my hair looks now!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is improving my hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Nioxin hair treatment pack, and I have been enjoying applying it to my hair twice a week to help my thinning hair get back to normal. I always thought I had really thick hair, but a lot of hairdressers have been informing me that I actually have thin hair, I just have a lot of it. I really wanted to help strengthen and thicken my hair right up, as being over 40, I am applying anything to my hir to make it thicken up and prevent breakage. You can never do too much to prevent hair loss!! I have heard of the brand Nioxin, but due to the price, didn’t look into purchasing it without trying it out. Now I have tried it for a few weeks, I can feel that my hair has improved a bit. I think I need to apply it for a couple of months to see a real difference, but I’m happy to do that. The process is a bit complicated at first, as you have to know how to apply and for how long and in the correct order, but doing this a couple of times, you get used to it quickly. I will keep applying twice a week to see how my hair improves and it’s always good to improve your skin and hair as you get older.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried thickening shampoos in the past so I was excited to see how Nioxin System 1 went The shampoo is very thick and a little goes a long way. It soaps up a lot. You can immediately feel a difference in how thick your hair feels as youre washing it. The conditioner was the same colour, thickness and scent (nice, kinda minty) as the shampoo, which I will admit did throw me off a bit at first because I'm used to the shampoo and conditioner being a different texture/feel but the conditioner worked well and my hair felt clean after use. I did find the Nioxin System 1 left my hair feeling quite dry at the start of use but the Scalp + Hair Thickening Treatment seemed to add moisture back in and left my hair feeling nice. I noticed an increase in how full my hair looked and I was really happy with the results.
