Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay Foundation [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shade I received in for the Photoready Candid Foundation trial was too light for my skin tone unfortunately. However, I did still try it out to see how it applied, how it lasted and its coverage. First off, I really appreciate the little pump that disperses the product - it makes it very easy to control the amount of product that comes out without wasting any foundation. When it comes to application, the actual foundation consistency was a lot thicker than most meaning it was definitely going to settle into fine lines, wrinkles and creases which was a concern of mine. Thick foundations are probably not the best for dry skin - I, myself have combination/oily skin and it still felt quite drying on my face. When applying it with a brush - it really blended nicely. Even when I applied it with a sponge, it blended out effortlessly. It did last about 7 hours however there were dry patches at the end of the day. I think this foundation would be really great for the warmer season rather than the winter/cooler seasons.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a match [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Revlon Colorstay for years, as it is one of the only foundation products that have a shade that matches my very pale pink-toned skin. So giving the Photoready Candid Foundation a try was exciting because it sounded like a better product than my usual Revlon foundation. The shade I received was the lightest of the bunch, and it matched my skin tone well. I was quite disappointed with the side of the bottle, but it does seem like a great size for travelling. It is a soft bottle which means it is again easier to transport when travelling because it is lighter and not as easy to break as most glass bottles. I was quite disappointed to find this product was no different to Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation, except that unlike Colorstay, this foundation comes off very easily. It applied well to most of my face, but was awful on dry areas, no matter how much moisturiser I applied. It didnt look natural at all on the skin, even though I hadnt applied a large amount. It looked cakey no matter how I applied it, or how little product I used. I do love that this foundation doesnt contain any harmful ingredients, and it doesnt have a horrible smell like some foundations can have. My job is a very active one where I need a foundation that will look more natural, blend in well, and last for shifts of up to 11 hours. Unfortunately this product did not fit do any of these. So sadly, I wont be continuing to use this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not for me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently trialed the new Revlon PhotoReady Candid foundation in Natural Beige. My first impression was that the tube was quite small compared to my usual foundation but I did like the pump action for ease of use. I use a couple of pumps for every application as I didn't feel one was enough to cover my whole face. The product itself has a silky smooth, foamy texture which is easy to spread all over my face with my fingers. However, I found the smell a little unpleasant and quite fragrant compared to other foundations I have used. I have combination skin with very dry areas but can become oily throughout the day. I liked the matte effect of this foundation but found the coverage quite light. I found I needed to apply more layers but when I did it tended to sit on my skin and struggled to get it to sink in. I found I needed to apply quite a lot of powder to help set and blend the foundation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For a thicker foundation with even coverage [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to trial this product as part of the Beauty heaven Trial Team. Have not changed foundations in a really long time I was curious to see what it was like. I like that it was in a tube as I feel as though you get the most out of the product and it was easy to use with no mess or screwing caps on. Choosing the colours was perfect off the swatches provided online which I was sooo pleased with. While the colour was a perfect match and provided good coverage I didn’t like how thick the product was. I don’t so much like being able to feel the product, whilst it wasn’t crusty rather quite smooth I didn’t like the fact that it was thick and I felt a bit waxy. However I know people do love being able to feel the product on their face and the fuller coverage so it would be more for these people! It did have good coverage which is why I would ya it again but only for a full glam.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the one for me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This foundation comes in a tube with a pump which I love as you're able to dispense as much foundation as you want/need. I like that the tube is plastic and not glass as I tend to drop my foundation every now and then. I love that there are so many shades and I chose the perfect shade for my skin which isn't always easy to find. The formula is creamy and once I apply it on my skin, it glides easily and blends well and doesn't dry to quickly. The coverage is minimal but I apply more as I prefer a medium to full coverage. It takes a few applications to get to medium coverage and as the tube isn't big, I use a lot of product so it won't last me too long. Throughout the day it feels light and comfortable however when I look in the mirror my skin looks dull and dehydrated. I prefer a dewy foundation that leaves my skin with a glow and this doesn't do that. This foundation has so much positives but because the coverage is minimal and makes my skin look dull I have to take a few stars off as these are things I look for in a foundation.

But after a couple of hours of wear, I noticed that it had started to severely cling onto the skin on my cheeks and become quite itchy. The foundation started to flake off not long after I noticed this, leaving my skin quite irritated. I wouldn't recommend this if you have dry/sensitive skin.
