Rated 4 out of 5 by JULIE P. from I tried the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink lipstick in 50 Voyager which to me is like a deep wine colour. What stood out to me the most was how pigmented it was! The applicator was like a diamond shaped end that glides on with ease. There was a lovely scent to it like lollies! The matte look didnt even dry my lips out, the product itself comes off wet and dewy but dries to a lovely matte.\n\nWhat gave me the most trouble was trying to wipe it off by the end of the day. It really is long-lasting- I tried baby wipes to micellar makeup remover wipes which was a struggle! In the end I used some MAC makeup remover wipes which were heavy duty and removed them in an instant!\n\nI would love to try the other shades it comes in!\n\n

It dried down to a comfortable matte which was incredibly long lasting. Though some people have found problems with this,I found it came off quite easily with an oil based makeup remover. \n

It is very easy to apply and glides over the lips for a smooth application. The texture of this liquid lipstick is different to most other liquid lipstick I've tried as it's slightly sticky. On the down side, this stickiness doesn't seem to dry down completely, however, the formula is still very comfortable and it didn't make my lips feel dry AT ALL.\n\nI have this product in the shade "Heroine", which is a beautiful orangey red colour. This shade is very vibrant but I did find that it needed a lot of work to make the colour apply evenly as it can be a little patchy. However, once it's on it looks amazing and it won't budge. The applicator is also quite nice because the small tip allows you to be precise around your lip line. \n\nOverall, I would recommend this product for anyone looking for an extremely budge-proof and non-drying liquid lipstick that's going to last them a whole day without needing to touchup. \n

The tube is in vibrant barbie pink, and when the colour goes onto your lips, it's one of the most flattering and wearable pinks out there, not too cold not too warm, suitable for a wide range of skin tones. The pointed applicator is very easy to go into the corners of your lips and the hole in the middle picks up enough product for one application. It dries down to a semi-matte look, however if you want a more matte look, you can first apply the product onto you wrist, and then use fingers to dab the product onto your lips, this will allow you to build up more layers of colour and have a fuller lip look. The pleasuring sweet scent is similiar to the smell of NYX's butter gloss, the better thing is that this one does not fade away. Nor does the colour, the colour lasted from around 1pm to 7pm, and even after dinner, there was still a beautiful rosy purple stain left on my lips. Overall, this is a really budget friendly and price worthy product, I would definitely recommend it to those of you who are looking for a long-lasting and hydrating(compared to other liquid lipsticks) lip formula!!

If you're looking for a 'stay all day' product, look no further!!! \nAt first I was a bit skeptical because the product appeared to be very patchy upon application, but after a little time to set it was it as smooth and consistent as ever!! \nThe only down side to this product is that because it lasts all day it is incredibly hard to take off!!! I tried everything and still had a ring of lipstick around my mouth!\nOther than that, I would highly suggest investing in this product.\n

The coverage is great too, one swipe and my natural lip colour was gone.\nIt's immediately matte, has a slight sticky-ness to begin with, but it will dry down after a few minutes.\nThe pointed arrow applicator is great, it eliminates the need for a lip liner beforehand and makes it really fast to get on your lips. I have a really prominent cupids bow too and it wasn't a problem being precise around that area.\n\nThe SMELL THOUGH. It smells like vanilla frosting - and honestly its pretty hard not wanting to lip the product off your lips (although it tastes like nothing).\n\nI have the colour 50 'Voyager' - it looks like a brown toned red on the outside of the component, but the colour is more on the pinky red side. \nIt made my teeth look super white which was awesome - Definitely a cheaper dupe option for Jeffree Stars 'Unicorn corn' blood!\n\nI rated this 4 stars however because one of the drawbacks is how hard this colour is to get off. The name stays true to the product - it really is like a ink on your lips!! Makeup wipes will not get it off - definitely opt for a lip scrub or an oil-based makeup remover!\nHowever - a massive plus is that it is definitely kiss-proof and food proof, does. not. budge.\n\nI would recommend this lipstick definitely for any events, parties or even and 8 hour workday as no touch ups are needed, not so much for short-term wear as its hard to get off.\n

You don't need much to cover both lips which is a bonus. \nI also had no issues with it smudging or drying out my lips either. \nI would 10/10 recommend this product to my friends and family!\n

It is easy to apply, has a smooth texture and I love that I only had to use a little ink to cover my whole lips .\n \nIt doesn’t dry the lips and it doesn’t smudge \n \nThe colour stays on strong from the very first application and doesn’t wear off too easily either.\n \nOne down side is it is a bit sticky, although even after I used a tissue to remove the stickiness the colour never lost its vibrancy, it stayed on and remained striking.\n \nI would definitely buy it ! and I would definitely try the other shades!\n \n

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bianca R. from Sticky formula I have a few shades of this lipstick and although the colours are very nice I find the formula way too sticky for my liking. I don't find that it even dries after a certain amount of time. I still wear them as I love the colours but it's just that stickiness that I don't particularly like. I also find that if I know I'm going to be wearing this lipstick at night time for a night out that I have to keep applying lip balm throughout the entire day prior to applying this lipstick as it also is matte and shows any cracks and dryness and enhances the appearance of any dryness.

I got the colour that is in the picture and I just found it didn't look that great and I have tried better and just as affordable matte liquid lipsticks.

It may seem super sticky and viscous in the beginning buts its a great find for days when you want you lip stain to never come off during long work days. \nThe only issue that i had is it takes super long to come off even with a make up remover, and wear s off on its own.\n

Rated 3 out of 5 by Monica Tay from I received the shade 25 Heroine to review. It is a neon orange-red that applies a bit patchy, taking a few swipes to reach full opacity. The formula doesn't dry down completely, feeling a bit tacky even after an hour, but not so sticky that it is uncomfortable. It has a strong artificial scent that I can't quite put my finger on. The wand is an interesting leaf shape that makes it easy to apply. I'd recommend trying the other colours.

The applicator is good, it’s easy to apply, however you do need to be quick & careful as it sets very quickly. Downside? It’s very very sticky. While the colour does last and stay all day the texture really puts me off wanting to wear it all day long. It is difficult to remove at the end of the day, and this particular colour did leave a stain.

It really does stay on your lips for 16hours or more. Even makeup remover didn’t take everything off. You have to be super precise with this lipstick because it will stain. I recommend a lip liner before so that you have a guide. I prefer using this as a lip tint by just applying a dab and rubbing it in. This way it lasts all day but I don’t have to be worried about it staining the rest of my face. I would recommend it as a lip stain but I think was way too strong as a lipstick. \n

Rated 3 out of 5 by Leanne S. from The colour I trialled was ‘escapist’ which when applied was closer to a Black than a deep purple, and was way too dark for my complexion. \n\nThe pros of the product are that it has a lovely smell that isn’t over powering. The product has super long lasting power with great colour coverage \n\nHowever I found it incredibly difficult to remove the colour from my lips, especially with such a dark shade. Makeup wipes didn’t make the colour budge, I needed to scrub with Micellar water to have any affect. I also wasn’t a fan of the applicator it definitely took some manoeuvring, the product drys quite quickly and was difficult to manoeuvre around the lips to get even coverage \n\nIn saying all that I would still be interested in trying the product again in a shade more suited as a product you don’t need to constantly reapply is always a plus \n

I was expecting a plum shade but it came out almost black; luckily I really like dark shades on me but I think the bottle should have been a bit darker so it's not so misleading. In saying that the consistency was the perfect thickness so it was easy to apply evenly. It dried quickly and didn't leave my lips feeling super dried out which I loved. It did stay on all night whilst I was at a 30th and when I went to take it off my lips were stained a little pink for a few more hours but it wasn't that bas. All in all I would say this is a pretty decent liquid lipstick, especially for the price; but I've used better ones.

It was the most beautiful colour, however it was so sticky on the lips i found myself not being able to put my lips together properly it was that sticky!! I also found it creasing on my lips and breaking up closer to the inside of my lips. \n\nI also faced big issues getting it off - it literately does not budge, which for wear is great however it makes it almost impossible to get off it you want to remove it before it naturally wears off. \n\nFor the pros of how long it lasts i'd almost prefer to wear a normal lipstick and reapply, however if you love liquid lipsticks with massive staying power it is a great option!\n

Just due to personal preference - this was a bit too bold for me. The formula however was great when I tried it, so looking forward to trying other colours in this range in the future!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Loreen L. from I had trialled the colour 15 Lover. The colour didn't suit my darker complexion unfortunately. I actually enjoyed the smell of it though, kinda like bubblegum. The consistency of the product is thick and sticky. I actually found it really tacky until the product dried (which took ages for me). I have pigmented lips so definitely need a 2nd coat but found because it took so long for the initial coat to dry, I'd lose patience. Then the patchiness set in. While this has the potential to be great, it's not convenient for me (until I work out how to get it to set quicker) especially if you're always in a hurry.\nOh, but it definitely stays on! It was patchy for me but did not bleed. This was a bonus!\n

I had high hopes for this product and overall, I have to say that it is good but I really had to try and make it work for me. \n\nI've tried a few liquid lipsticks but I always run into the same problem with most of them - my lips feeling dry after a couple of hours of wear. With this product, I had to test it a few times to make it really work. It gets very tacky and takes a while to dry down, which I wasn't very pleased with. I also had to really make sure my lips were in prime condition before applying it (exfoliated and then use lip balm which has had time to sink in). I felt like I couldn't just do a quick swipe and be out the door. \n\nIt does apply nicely and is richly pigmented but again, on the proviso that my lips were in tip top shape. It doesn't dry down to a compplete matte finish, which is probably a good thing with my dry lips so if you are lookin for a super matte liquid lipstick, this doesn't quite hit the mark. Additionally, it did eventually feel dry and crusty for me after 6 or so hours of wear.\n\nI would recommend this product for someone who would only be wearing it for a few hours at a time (not all day) and for someone who had primo lips. I may try other shades to see how they work on me but overall, I believe there are better liquid lipsticks out there.\n

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tammi I. from I'm torn about this product. Colouring and packaging all gorgeous. Though the applicator was a little hard to manoeuvre - a bit too large for average lips, I'd say. The product went on well but dried immediately and so was difficult to manoeuvre around the lips to apply correctly. I had a light colour and a friend told me to wipe the inner corners of mouth about an hour after applying, as it had accumulated there as matte lip products tend to do. With some simple changes (slower drying, better applicator), this could be a great product.

The colour is beautiful - it's very bright red/coral and looks really good if you have dark hair especially. I have to say, it definitely stays on - so much so that it is really hard to remove. It does smell good, however, i found the applicator a little too big to apply precisely. I also found it kind of sticky and I didn't really like the feel of it on my lips. In saying that I will continue to use it, however, I find the Stila version better to be honest.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jasna B. from I was lucky and was able to trial this product and found overall that it was easy to apply and long lasting without being overly drying which is usually the trade off for a long lasting matte lippie.\n\nI trialed the shade escapist which looks like a deep plum but on my complexion appeared much much darker almost black, not something I can pull off - but it made my teeth look angelicly white.\n\nIt is better to take care when applying so you don’t inadvertently apply too much which could be easy to do with the applicator design. \n\nThe product transferred a little on contact with food and my water bottle but not much which is ideal for such a dark colour as you won’t need to spend all day/night in the loo checking on your lips and making touch ups. The matte felt a little tacky which I prefer to the dryness a matte product usually leaves you with. \n\nThe product is long lasting and I found I had to apply some effort to remove it, I tend to use jojoba oil and an enjo pad and this worked ok but I needed to repeat my removal process a few times to get all traces of the colour off my lips. Definitely has staying power!\n\nThe product smells nice and I am going to look for some of the other shades in a colour more suited to me to add to my collection. A good buy for the price.\n

I found that by the end of the day when it come to removing it, it took quite a lot of effort and scrubing to get it off. I also found that having the hole in the center of the applicator made it too easy to apply too much at once.
