Directions

Apply as the last step of your skincare routine. Suitable for use under make-up. Apply the sunscreen product 20 minutes before exposure. Reapply every 2 hours and after swimming, towelling and perspiring in accordance with directions.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Whilst I liked how matte this sunscreen looked and how well it wore under makeup, it was too orange on my skin. I tested it out on days I knew I would only be at home or in the yard. I wore when mowing and it held up well through sweat and it protected my skin from any sunburn. If it wasn’t for the tint I would happily wear this as my daily sunscreen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product was just not quite right for me! Being a super pale girl, the colour of this product was just wrong for my skin tone, and just sat as an orange tone on my face. I did like though the texture and consistency of this sunscreen not being thick or greasy on my oily skin (as most sunscreen products are). I might try the clear version instead, as the formula was good, but the colour was just so wrong. It would probably work better for deeper skin tones though

The consistency is almost gel like which is really soothing. It's great for beach days when your body is darker than your face and it needs a little boost!

It has a light tint, which provides a sheer coverage. On a good skin day one could just wear this and nothing else on the skin. I do find that this formula is quite thick and not very easy to spread over the skin. It claims to be anti-shine as well, but I actually find it rather sticky and tacky once applied and it does make my skin feel almost greasy. I will continue to use it but it won't be my go to product.

However, I passed the product onto my mother and she absolutely loved it as a BB cream to use on days where she did not want to complete a full makeup routine.

If you do have a lighter skin tone it would be a very good everyday product especially for the beach or summer time.

I will say that I have a fair complexion and this product is quite orange and very dark so i could never use alone and need to cover with a full coverage foundation. I definitely want to see if there is a lighter shade or white version

On paper it is perfect but it wasn't perfect for my skin/lifestyle.  \n\nPositives:\nLovely smell\nCompact\nDry touch and Anti shine\nI like the idea of the tint - lovely for going out, though it was a bit dark for me\n\nNegatives:\nDried very quickly even when applying. You need to work quickly to rub it in otherwise it dries in place which doesn't look very even with the tinting\nIt did cake on me after exercising so I do not recommend to wear when doing heavy exercise/heavy sweating - I found after sweating I was needing to rub it in/off with a tissue\nTint was a bit dark for my skin tone (a bit darker/more orange)\n

I want to love this product, I really do, but unfortunately it is a tad too dark/orangey for my skin tone. The colour of the product aside, I think it is a great sunscreen for combination/oily skin that offers great protection without breaking skin out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I did try this product as I got it for a trial I’m not really that impressed at it but then again it’s a tinted moisturiser it’s not as full coverage as foundation I mean it was ok just felt that when I was sweating I was worried it was going to come off I will probably use it again too is if I can get use to it wish they had a full coverage foundation because I would definitely ware that it’s not too bad so it’s ok and it seemed darker than my proper skin tone

After rubbing the tiniest dot into my hand I found that it was way too dark and orange for my fair skin so am unable to use it. Really wish companies would stop making products that are one colour that supposedly will suit everyone as they never do. They should at a minimum have Light, Medium & Dark tints.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Finally, a truly matte sunscreen! This sunscreen is fantastic! Love that it’s fragrance free and it truly does offer a matte finish. I can’t speak to how this would work for someone with very oily skin (mines combo) but for me it’s great! The first point I took off is that it doesn’t mix well with other products or sunscreens, and pills after reapplication over itself or if you apply a heavy moisturiser first. The second point is LRP’s choosing to test on animals and keeping the patent on ecamsule and drometrizole trisiloxane keeping their prices higher due to a lack of proper competition. Freeing up the use of these organic compounds would end up providing better sun protection to everyone!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pump head broke only after a couple of weeks The sunscreen is thick and has a heavy tint to cover minor spots and blemishes. The product is good but the packaging is bad, the pump broke 2 weeks in, can’t get the product out without cutting open the container.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sets too quickly and doesn't blend well Although I've used other lines of the LRP facial sunscreens and liked them, this was a rather disappointing purchase. The LRP Anthelios Ultra XL sunscreen has a texture that 'sets' very quickly and pills into little balls of rubbery sunscreen if you try to blend this out or add more or other products such as foundation or powder on top. I'd suggest trying the LRP Anthelios Ultra (not the XL version) untinted version which applies beautifully and doesn't leave white streaks on the skin or clothing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Orange tint This was an accidental purchase as I usually grab the Anthelios fluid sunscreen (which is amazing!). I decided to try this sunscreen anyway and this tint is not for fair/ light tanned skin. The colouring is noticeably orange and leaves a dark orange/ oxidised finish on the skin. The smell is also very strong and florally. It is however super light and matte.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wrong colour for fair skin I bought this accidentally, I meant to get the untinted sunscreen. This is far too dark for my skintone, but would suit someone with a more golden skin colour. I wish they would change the packaging to make a clearer distinction between the two.

The issue is with the tinted colour which is way too orange for me and oxidises throughout the day becoming even darker. It also failed to spread evenly and dried my skin out. I much prefer the ultra light fluid they offer.

It’s clumpy and way too dark for my skin tone. Overall I’d say they’re on the right track with this product, or just needs a few more adjustments.

I find the medium colour that I tried of this product is a touch to light for my skin especially as I am quite tan in the summer. I do like the concept of this product but I think I much prefer using a Sunscreen and Tinted Moisturiser/Foundation as two separate products especially in the summer months. I will most likely give this another go in the winter time, but I find that I much prefer a higher coverage day-to-day.

The product was way too orange and I could not find a light enough shade in store anywhere. it was also difficult to blend and oxidised and got darker as the day went on. The coverage was quite good though and the product did have a nice fragrance.

I persevered and used it anyway, but found it to dry down really quick which makes blending difficult. I liked the pump packaging, the smell was pleasant (unlike other SPF skincare) and it did combat shine/oil as well as protect my face from the sun.

The colour was very orange, it was hard to blend into the skin and looked very patchy. I applied some powder on top to try and set it and even it out but the powder did not sit well on top. It did not have a matte finish, which I don’t mind. I love the idea of the product containing 50+ SPF but it just didn’t work well on me.

It was very thick, although this is great for an SPF, it meant the build up of coverage also increased and I am personally not someone who likes to sunbathe under a layer of foundation. The packaging is great for on-the-go and the pump means not too much is used/wasted.

However, the original version is great and I use it everyday. The product it's self works, but I would see if you could test the colour on your skin before buying the tinted version.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I really, really, really wanted to love this product as much as I love the original anthelios SPF. This tinted version is not for me. The tint is super dark/ orange on my neutral tone NC20 skin. It broke down my foundation if I wore it as a base, this doesn't happen with the original. Not my favourite, I will be sticking to the original as it is the only sunscreen I use on my face but can't help but feel disappointed by the tinted version.
