Rated 4 out of 5 by from I trialled this palette as part of the Review Crew panel, and I have to admit, I was very impressed. The colour selection is perfect, as you can use the matte shades to shade the eye and then the glitter's as a pop of colour on the eyelid. I found the formula of the eyeshadows quite good- the mattes were fairly pigmented and easy to blend as they were quite powdery (so ensure you tap of your brush before applying or you will get product fallout). I was most impressed by the glitters in the palette. I found they were surprisingly fine and not chunky and looked stunning on he eyelid. However, again they were quite powdery so I would recommend placing down a sticky base such as glitter glue or even concealer before applying the glitter to make it stick to the eyelid better and create a more pigmented look. \n\nI think this is not so much an everyday palette (well not for me as I tend to be quite neutral and boring with my shadow) but great for nights out if you want to add a little more glam..for the price it's definitely worth checking out!\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I brought this eye shadow palette to my 10-day holiday and i was really surprised with the results. I could do a light day look and intense evening look with the palette. \nFor the price, i was really surprised with the quality. The number of shades in there was great to create different type of looks. The burgundy colours pigment is amazing!!! The matte neutral shades pigment were not as pigmented as the burgundy ones but i used the lighter matte shades as base or the darker matte shades to add depth to the burgundy colours. \nI have oily lids and there were still some colour left at the end of the day but would recommend to use a eyeshadow primer for colour to stay pigmented. I recommend this palette to anyone who is looking to try eye shadows in this shade. \nThe down side is the palette didn't come with a mirror. \n\n

I found the brush provided with this eye-shadow fantastic, easy to use, good even distribution and didn't sweep off a lot of the eye-shadow off the palette like other brushes can do. I found some of the colours a bit to dark for daytime wear but they were beautiful to wear at night. I  loved the instructions on the back which included which colour combinations to use for different types of styles.

The eyeshadows are highly pigmented, with a great range of both shimmered shades and a few great matte colours. The shadows are extremely easy to apply, and blend with ease. I was able to make three very different eye looks with the same palette. The wear throughout the day is reasonably good, there was generally no need to reapply. Great product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I was drawn to this pallet as I have green eyes and it’s hard to find a pallet with the purple sand burgundy’s without being overrun with browns. Great formula, bleands well, very little fall out. BUT, the shades don’t like to stay in the pan. They shift and I’ve had 2 fall out. Annoying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I was excited to try this new palette because of the beautiful colours which I can use most of them.  Love it how there are matte and shimmers in one palette for me to play around with. The colours are pigmented but the quality of the powders are just OK to blend but the shimmer colours seems to have fallouts so I recommend to apply eye primer before putting on the eyeshadow. Overall, I think quality of this palette is just OK. \n\n

I like the two mattes which are included, as they are more neutral in tone which is nice as the 10 glittery shades are a mix of warm and cool tones.  I think the colour selection is nice as it's mostly neutral shades with the burgundy shades more like pops of colour. The glittery shades are very pigmented, but it's not an everyday palette for me as it's a bit too intense for me. I need to wear a primer under these to make them last on my oily lids.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unfortunately my palette arrived damaged with 2 of the shades broken. I'm fairly sure the shadow shattered because they are so soft. Yes the colours are highly pigmented and soft to apply, however as they are too soft they cause alot of fall out & also don't wear for very long. I used a primer & the colours lasted a bit longer. There are 10 very shimmery shades & 2 matte shades (1 light & 1 dark brown). I think the palette would be more versatile if there was a few more matte options. \nOverall I think the Burgundy Bar is great for younger women (due to the shimmer). There is some very basic instructions on the back of the packaging demonstrating a few colour combinations & applications.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love this palette in some ways and there are a few cons also!! \n\nI found the shimmers in this palette stunning to apply and fairly pigmented for a maybelline shadow so i was quite impressed! I do reccomend a setting spray ot MAC Fix+ to intensify the shadows to really make them pop!! \n\nThe con for me is that i cannot complete a full look using just this palette! So if you have alot of mattes in your collection then i think this will be a great addition! Out of the few mattes in this palette thy are very gorgeous! They blend well and have pigment! \n

Like most of the Maybelline eyeshadow palettes it has a fairly poor shade selection as it only contains 2 matte shades! this is a major downfall as i usually use these in my crease for dimension with a shimmer on my lid. The pigmentation initially is quite good but fades a fair amount during the day. I think if you're just getting into make-up and want a palette with bold purples and reds this will be just fine especially for younger girls. The packaging is typical of the Maybelline eyeshadow's which i have no problems with. Its plastic and a bit cheap looking but it holds up nicely and is perfect for travel. I think this palette isn't a staple to my collection but it is by no means horrible i just have others that i prefer. Though i must say Maybelline have really stepped up their game and i look forward to seeing their products continue to improve.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product took a while to get used to.  When I opened it I was overwhelmed by the amount of product on the brush, it was like mascara consistency, and since i am really an eyebrow pencil girl it was hard to make the plunge.  I think it is best suited to those who like a bolder look, the colour is very natural and no issues with the application of the product.

I liked the variety of shades in the palette because there was a mixture of natural and bold colours. However, I found that the colour wore off throughout the day and needed to be reapplied.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'm not sure how to feel about this palette, i didn't look to much into the ads or anything like that but i knew it was coming out. I saw it in the shop and went to go buy it but refrained from doing so because of the lack of matte eyeshadows. I just thought that i wouldn't be able to many looks because of the lack of matte shades, but still the shimmers looked pretty cute, just not practical.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from the burgundy bar is exactly what its name implies. it comes in with shadow colours based on a burgundy/rust/brownish theme. the colours are all beautiful and intense. however, i found it hard to build a look for it as most of the colours were glittery / shimmery. having said that, my tastes are more on the understated side and the bar would be an awesome pallette for a night eye make up. all in all, i think its nice enough but probably wouldn't buy it as i would need to use it in combination with a different palette to achieve the look i want. \n

It was difficult to make different eyeshadow looks out of this palette as it only has two matte shades to play with. There is far too much shimmer for my liking. It's quite pigmented and easy to blend but fallout can be an issue when using the glitter shades. The colours weren't colours I would generally turn too all that often. \n

Although the pigment of the shadows are exceptional for a drug store product, the amount of fall out, which is hard to get rid of not to mention stained anything it fell on to, is one of the many reasons I do not like this product. The variety of shadows are limited. If you are looking for a palette with matte shades this is not the one for you as it only comes with two quiet ugly matte shades. I also found the shadows difficult to blend nicely to create a nice look with the palette due to the lack of variety in matte shades. Just don’t even bother with the tool that comes with it, it is probably one of the most useless “brushes” I have used in my life and was laughing at the sheer awfulness of it. I do not recommend this product at all.
