Directions

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mariearooloo from Healthy and shiny! The first thing I noticed when I got the bottle was the look of it! It is not your typical Herbal Essences, it is in a sleek, modern looking black bottle that made me think they sent me the wrong product! It looks like an expensive hairdresser shampoo brand with an easy opener and a nice squeezy bottle that made using it very simple and just the right amount of product comes out! At first use, the smell was fantastic! It was that rich coconutty scent that reminds me of a spa. It created a nice lather straight away and was easy to wash out. I only needed to do one wash as it felt clean straight away! After I dried it, I noticed my hair a lot shinier straight away and the scent was with me for the whole day! There was no flyaways, no frizz just soft and manageable hair. Only downside, I noticed that is got greasy by the end of the day. I have started using it as a treatment when my hair gets frizzy and it works divinely!

Rated 3 out of 5 by JuJu47 from OK but more average than great I was pleased to see this shampoo at Chemist warehouse at a good price as I do like Herbal Essence products as a rule. This one did the job and my hair was nice and soft after washing but I didn't feel it left my hair feeling really any more nourished than using any normal shampoo. I was glad the scent was light and not too coco nutty as sometimes the coconut in products can overwhelm. It is a good basic shampoo and I will finish the bottle however I will try a different one next time. I do have heavy hair so perhaps the coconut milk does not suit my thick heavy hair.

The shampoo provided a good lather and was thick and creamy so not a huge amount of product was needed even on my long hair. After using my hair smelt amazing and was static free and soft. I really liked the bottles and the fact that all the nasties are left out of this Formular. Generally I usually buy salon products for my hair but after using thus is would recommend this product to anyone on a budget.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coconut and white floral smell of this shampoo is absolutely to die for. It transports me immediately to an island destination. I also love that it's packaged in recycled plastic. This shampoo would be great for people with oily to normal hair. Unfortunately, despite being marketed as highly moisturising, those of us with natural textured and curly hair will still find this too stripping. Sodium lauryl sulfate is one of the ingredients, so many curly girls will unfortunately have to steer clear. I'm also not a fan of the silicones included. As I said though, I can see this being a staple for most others, and I'm glad I at least gave it a go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Amazeballs16 from Herbal Essence Coconut milk shampoo This hydrating coconut duo by Herbal Essence's is okay, it isn't as nourishing as I expected it to be. I find the shampoo does clean my hair exceptionally well; a bit too well. It takes quite a lot of moisture out of my hair and the matching conditioner struggles to put back in moisture afterwards. The shampoo comes in a brown 400ml bottle with a easy to use flip top lid. It is pearlescent white in colour, quite silky in texture. The fragrance is the best part of this duo, it is a lovely sweet coconut floral scent, it is almost tropical. I find the scent to be very pleasant, it does linger in the hair for a considerable amount of time after the shower has finished; halfway through the day the fragrance is still subtly noticeable. About the size of a 20c coin is enough to get a good lather. This shampoo lathers up beautifully into a rich, soft, bubbly lather (it does contain SLS). I find it easy to rinse out but I find the after effects of using this shampoo to a bit disappointing. Whilst I love that my hair smells *amazing* afterwards, it just cleans it too well! The shampoo does leave my hair feeling a bit stripped and dries it out quite a bit. When I first started using this duo I was using it twice a week, I reduced it to every so often; once every couple of weeks and altered with my other brands to reduce dryness and damage to my hair. I only used when my hair felt like it needed a vigorous clean. I find that with my hair and this duo a leave in conditioner is an absaloute must as the shampoo leaves my hair feeling depleted of moisture and the matching conditioner alone isn't rich enough to repair the lack of moisture. For the record my hair is just shy of waist length, thick and wavy. I probably will not be re purchasing this duo as I don't find them to be moisturising enough for me personally.

The packaging is nice and different with black flip top lid bottle. The shampoo is paraben free and suitable to use on colour treated hair. It smells great with mild coconut fragrance and the texture is good too. But I had to use a lot of shampoo to get nice lather and after rinsing the shampoo my hair felt very dry and brittle. I also noticed that my roots were oiler than before within 2 days and also started to get flakey skin. Just after using the shampoo I have been experiencing acne, I am not sure how much it's related to the shampoo but this is what I noticed It's not the great product, good if you like natural shampoo without any parabens and I might use it occasionally but can't use it every time, I didn't feel like it gave a nice clean.

I didn't get to trial this shampoo for very long and have only been able to use it 3 times due to it being posted to an old address so I can't speak to any longer term uses The packaging of the shampoo is very pretty and it comes in a conventional bottle. The scent itself takes me to a tropical beach each time I open the bottle. The scent isn't overpowering for me and I love the fresh coconut scent After using the shampoo 3 times I've felt that my hair is softer and appears to be well hydrated. I have found that I have used a little more conditioner than I usually do, but it isn't significantly more I can't say that my hair looks more radiant or that my hair appears different in any other way but this may just be due to not being able to use the product for very long. Overall I have enjoyed using this shampoo so far and love the scent.

My hair type is oily roots and dry ends and I usually stay away from hydrating shampoos near my scalp but like them for my lengths and ends. This shampoo smells absolutely divine, coconut is one of my favourite scents in the world. It lathers up nicely and richly and spreads on the hair really well. I have tried it on my scalp a few times but my hair just ended up looking flat at the roots It works well on my lengths and ends and I like that the scent lingers in my hair all day. It is however, not the most hydrating formula. After washing, my ends still feel dry and straw-like even after conditioning. I would recommend this shampoo to those with normal hair not requiring special attention The packaging is different from other Herbal Essences shampoos but I like this one better. The bottle is larger (same amount of product as standard I believe) and feels better to handle. I really like the scent but to me that's not worth purchasing this product for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by celinam from A good, everyday shampoo This shampoo was really nice! The smell was a floral and coconut scent that lasted for a few days but wasn't too overpowering. It lathered up nicely and made my scalp feel very clean and hydrated. As I dye my hair blonde and it has a tendency to go brassy, I used my Fudge blonde shampoo before using this one, as I do every other wash. This can be pretty drying and I did notice that afterward following up with the herbal essence shampoo my hair did feel a lot less dry which was a very pleasant surprise. However despite being a shampoo for dry and damaged hair I'm still not sure if I would continue using it everyday. While the ingredients are pretty natural for a supermarket shampoo, I find that my very long, very dyed blonde hair does respond a lot better to salon quality products. That being said, if your hair is in better condition than mine and you're looking for an affordable everyday shampoo, this could be your answer!

My hair felt quite dry after rinsing it out and that was only mildly resolved by the conditioner. The consistency of the shampoo was nice, creamy and it distributed through my hair easily and lathered nicely. It left my hair feeling clean and smelling lovely. My hair did feel clean and the lovely coconut scent is not too overwhelming and doesn't leave a strong scent lingering behind. The packaging was okay, I think the bottle looks nice and it was easy to use. I prefer bottles that can be stored upside down for when the product is getting low, and this shampoo bottle would make that difficult. I noticed my hair did seem to by a bit dryer overall after using this shampoo and conditioner combo, with a bit more frizz than usual. Overall, I probably wouldn't use it again.

I was very excited to try this product, as I am keen on using products that are as natural as possible. The packaging looked really nice, and the label was quite detailed as to what the product was, and what it was free from. On first using it, the product still soaped up enough, even though it was free from all the chemicals. My husband even commented that it felt really nice when washing his hair – the right amount of sud! The smell was very subtle – the coconut was not overpowering which I appreciated. It left my hair feeling very clean and fresh, and my hair didn’t get oily straight away – I was still able to wash my hair every second day. My only negative with the product, which would probably stop me from repurchasing: I found my hair dried out very quickly. After using it every second day for one week, I noticed the mid-lengths to ends of my hair became quite dry and dull looking. My hair lost its shine and I felt I needed to do a deep condition to get it shiny and hydrated again. My hair is combination, and I certainly wouldn’t normally consider it to be dry – I sway more to the oily side. My husband found on his short hair it felt a bit dry and straw-like as well. It might be good for those who have particularly oily hair?

Rated 2 out of 5 by emms32 from Fresh tropical scent Super excited to Trial the new Herbal Essence Bio: renew Hydrate Coconut milk Shampoo. My hair is color treated every 6 weeks and heat styled often, this makes my hair thirst for hydration. I found the Shampoo foamed up easily with excellent coverage from a small amount . I enjoyed the scent of a tropical coconut milk , like a Tahitian holiday in a bottle. I felt my hair seemed super clean after the first use but felt as the trial went on my hair began to feel quite stripped from daily washing. The 400 ml bottle is generous in size and a little product goes a long way in my shoulder length hair. Flip top lids are perfect and easy to use . The Shampoo is paraben free , gluten and colorants free. Color safe and PH balanced . Long term I don't feel this is the right Shampoo for me from the Herbal Essences range as I worried my hair would be come brittle with continued use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by heyitscloudier from Smells nice, but very drying I was quite disappointed with this product as I was hoping that it would be a bit more 'natural' ingredients as the packaging attempts to portray. The first ingredients are basically water, sulfates and then synthetic fragrance, then followed by coconut water. Due to the high sulfate content, the shampoo stripped my hair of its natural oils which felt apparent by the very 'squeeky clean' feel of my wet rinsed hair. When my hair was dry, it felt dry, thin and very frizzy, which meant that I had to compensate with using lots of serum and oil to try to smoothe it down, which meant my hair also being full of product became oilier faster, thus requiring more frequent washing, which results in weaker hair. The cycle of stripping hair and the scalp of oil only makes hair and the scalp oilier, and for me resulted in dandruff pretty much instanly, so I wouldn't even use this if my hair was severely oily, as a milder, more balancing product should be used The packaging looked nice and was easy to use, and the smell was also lovely, but I would never use or recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by My.Nongy from An unpleasant experience I was excited to trial the new Herbal Essences Bio Renew Coconut Water Shampoo for the Beautyheaven Trial Team The formula boasts ingredients such as aloe, sea kelp and essential antioxidants to renew your hair in 21 days. When I first smelled the shampoo I was disappointed, with these ingredients I expected a more natural, earthy scent. Instead I found it smelt generic and unnatural. It wasn't offensive but I'd expect to smell the ingredients The shampoo claims to be safe for colour treated hair yet the second ingredient is sodium laureth sulphate. I spend a lot of money having my hair professionally coloured and sulphates are known to increase the rate at which colour fades. After using the shampoo my hair felt clean but not stripped. I followed with the conditioner and dried my hair normally. My hair felt soft and my flyaways were more controlled than normal. Unfortunately by the following morning my scalp was on fire and I had to wash it again with my regular regular products and discontinue use immediately. My scalp is reactive so it may be fine for others to use.
