General Information

Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Dry-Touch Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 for sensitive skin is hypoallergenic and up to 2 hours water resistant. The mineral based face sunscreen contains zinc oxide for physical broad spectrum sun protection.

Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Dry-touch Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 is a mineral based sunscreen that provides high broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection whilst being gentle on skin. With Purescreen zinc oxide, it filters out harmful UVA and UVB rays from skin. Suitable for daily protection and use on the face, it contains vitamin E, a skin daily conditioning anti-oxidant and leaves an invisible matte finish on skin.

Warnings

Warnings: Do not use on damaged or broken skin. Avoid contact with eyes. May be irriating to eyes. If product gets into eyes rinse thoroughly with water. For external use only. Discontinue use and see a doctor if signs of irritation or rash appear. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poisons Information Centre right away. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Wear protective clothing, hats and eyewear when exposed to the sun. Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

Directions

Directions: Apply liberally to all exposed areas 15 to 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply frequently (at least every 2 hours) and immediately after swimming, excessive perspiration, towelling, or prolonged sun exposure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Power ingredient Firstly, this is a pure physical sunscreen and having this much zinc oxide is amazing for sun protection. And yes, it is thicker and will take time to blend out and settle. If you want to slab sunscreen on then just go, this won't be it as it will have a white cast. However, if you are willing to wait 30mins after application and then put on a light powder foundation then it's perfect. Based on the ingredient alone, this product provides the best sun protection as it reflects the UVA and UVB. Instead of chemical sunscreen, which absorbs them into your skin and years later could cause hyperpigmentation.

It is not greasy and has a pleasant smell. It also works well for sensitive skin types with it’s natural ingredients and 50+ spf protection. I like that you can easily rub into your face without leaving any streaks.

White layer Of cream disappears after a few seconds of rubbing leaving healthy looking matte skin which feels well protected. Having a combination type of complexion is not easy to find a sunscreen that doesn’t make the t-zone oily and the rest of my face too dry. Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Lotion has passed the test. Would like to know if it’s environmentally friendly, specially for marine life.

It is true that it is a bit dry on the touch. However the lotion is nicely presented in a beautiful tube. It protects your face for 48 hours. I was under the sun for several days and after using this lotion constantly, I can say I did not get sunburnt.

I have very fair skin, so it's great to know that I am being protected, but I need something a bit more moisturising for my dry, aging skin. I'll definitely keep it in my repertoire for sun sense when I know I'm going to an event outside. While it does give a slight, white cast to my face, I'm pale anyway so that's wasn't an issue to me.

It had a slight smell initially, but faded quickly. I used this on my face, neck and chest and I was regularly in the sun. I did not burn or tan, so it was quite effective and it also didn’t stain my clothes. I would love this product in a tinted option and remove the need to wear foundation. Highly recommended .

I squeezed a little bit from the tube, and gently applied using my finger tips, it blended in well. At first, I was thinking that it would be similar to other various zinc products out there, on the market. However, I was pleasantly surprised, that it was so sheer, light-weight, and seemed to disappear into my skin. The product was pleasant, not an overwhelming scent, so that was a bonus ! It had great sun protection, and provided a full coverage, to protect my face !
