Rated 5 out of 5 by Magztaa from Very lux and plumpling [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to be selected to try this amazing cult product by Elizabeth Arden. The Ceramide capsules was something on my to try list for so long. Firstly the packaging is amazing! The details on this - from the push lid to open to the individual capsules got me swooning before I even used it. I am a bit of a hygiene freak, so these individual capsules were perfect. One capsule is more than enough for the face and next and I applied it liberally all over, then I will settle for a cup of tea before continuing with the rest of my skincare. I have noticed my skin being plumper and smoother with use and my skincare routine has simplified. I cleanse and use one capsule - then follow with spot treatment if needed. During the day I just use sunscreen and I am out the door in a jiffy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by miss_bree from Very hydrating [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who does not really use serum, I used the Elizabeth Arden ceramide capsules once a day the first for 3 days (at night) then moved twice a day. After day 5 I was noticing that my skin was becoming a lot smoother and has more of an even tone. Also noticing the pores on my nose has started to even out and were so noticeable (in my eyes). The wrinkles around my eyes are still there however not as distinct as were before using the capsules. The serum is rather rich and I felt there was no need for moisturising afterwards. However after about a week and a half I did have a breakout, which isn’t normal for my face. It started to clear after about 2 and half weeks but hasn’t fully cleared. Maybe once a day usage is better for my face as serum is rather rich. I liked that these capsules do not have a fragrance as many others do and do not mesh well with other skin care products or perfumes. The packaging was great and I loved the design of the capsules however they were a little more difficult to open than just twisting the top. I decided it was easier to use scissors to snip. There was a generous about amount of serum, that I was able to spread the serum from my face, to my neck, décolletage even to my shoulders. Letting it absorb for a few minutes is a must as it is pretty oily to start with.

The pleasure of having the silky oil on your face is breathtaking. You feel the ingredients working immediately with your skin. Elizabeth Arden's Advanced Ceramide Capsules are a must for any 40+ woman looking to improve the appearance and texture of her much loved skin. After trialling the Ceramides morning and evening for three weeks I am overwhelmed with the difference it has made to my skin in such a short time. Being prone to dry skin, the Ceramides with its silky oil has helped to restore firmest and rehydrate my face and neck, giving it a glow I haven't seen in years. I highly recommend this product as an essential part of a proactive women's daily beauty treatment. I will most certainly continue to use these tiny capsules of goodness well into the future. Thanks Elizabeth Arden for providing such a stunningly effective product.

Did it work ? is the first thing that would come to your head so here is what I would like to share. The packaging of the Elizabeth Arden's new Advanced Ceramide Capsules totally gives you the feel of opening a luxury product. The gold on the box and the wrap up for the box its like opening a special gift specially wrapped up for you with lot of though and care put into it. The jar itself is nice large with a clear lid and gold outlining and you need to just gently press for the lip to lift up. The little capsules are like pieces of jewellery in a gold box. The capsules are easy to twist and open to pour the liquid onto your palm. I have used these capsules for the first time and found they were very convenient to use. I applied the serum twice a day one in the morning after cleaning my face and once before bedtime on a clean face. I just used the tip of my finger to dab the serum on my face and neck. Once it was applied generously all over I massaged it into the skin. It took a few minutes to get it all massaged into the skin it did feel a bit slippery initially. But massaging it helped, immediately my skin felt so smooth like never before I could just glide my fingers across my face. The first couple of days I applied a moisturiser on it and though my skin felt very oily quickly to realise that it is not required the serum is enough. Over the last few weeks I have definitely felt the difference in the way my skin feels and looks. It is more hydrated and feels firmer and plump. My make up seems to stay longer than before as my skin is so hydrated. The ceramide is like a miracle formula that has helped reduce the fine lines on my face and it has brought back the glow of youth back on my face. I absolutely love the product and will continue using it in the future.

I was a bit hesitant using them as I do have combination skin and breaking open the capsule, the serum seemed very rich. I applied the serum all over with plenty left over. There is at least two applications worth in one capsule so I used it for me and hubby each night. The following morning I was extremely surprised to find my skin was more plump, soft and hydrated with no oily residue. My skin looked radiant. After a week of using the serum I noticed my fine lines on my forehead have reduced and the texture smoother. There isn't much of a fragrance. More of a scent of oil. I am very pleased in the condition of my skin. I feel as it has regulated the oil and dry areas in my skin. I am unsure why this serum are in individual capsules instead of a pump. I do find it fiddley to open one up each day I personally prefer less work when dispensing skincare. Saying that I would buy these in the future if my skin continue to improve the way it has.

The texture is easier to absorb in warmer climates, but still one capsules does my full face, neck, chest (and don't forget the back of the neck). Ideal for morning and night use for normal-dry skin but as I am oily/combo I use these at night every second night, then use my prevage serum over the top. From the age of 30 ceramides aren't made by the body so these are ideal to strengthen the skin, and hydrate.

And with good reason. Of all the serums I have used I have found that the majority take a little while to work. Not these beauties. I got up the next morning and found my skin glowing with renewed vigour in the bathroom mirror. While the idea is to use a whole capsule my Scottish blood makes me space it out a bit more, so I find that I can get 2 or 3 treatments out of the one capsule. These things cost a lot of money! The first time the capsule is opened there is a bit of excess that seems to end up all over my fingers, but as another reviewer pointed out, the oil is great for your hands as well. While it is an oil it sinks in super fast and leaves no oily residue, just happy skin!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Eskimo82 from Softer skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used these on and off for the last two years and I really like the results these provide even after a short week or so of use. The serum inside the capsules is quite slick and oily, not a consistency I'm particularly keen on, but means it glides on easily. It takes a while to absorb and sits on top of the skin for about 15-20 minutes on my skin. It provides a really great moisture boost and always the next morning my skin feels nice and soft. The results are even better after a week or so. Each capsule is easy to open, just twist the top of the capsule and squeeze onto your fingers to then massage onto the face. I find each capsule has way too much serum in it for my face, so apply the rest on my neck, hands and elbows. No fragrance which is a good thing. While I do like the results and think this product works there are a few reasons why I am giving 4 out of 5. These little capsules are expensive! I can't justify paying the high price tag every couple of months, and since these are single use capsules, there's no way of only using what I need (half a capsule) and extend the use I get out of each jar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HelenT from Too oily and greasy for my skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the concept of Advanced Ceramide Capsules giving me a guide of how much product I should use each time and it is super travel friendly. The serum has an oily texture which glides onto my skin smoothly, giving my skin a healthy glow the next morning. However, it is a bit too oily for my skin during summer as it makes my skin feeling greasy and uncomfortable after apply. Perfect when used during winter.

I have seen that my face has become more youthful. the contents of this product is easily absorbed into the skin and a single capsule is sufficient for the face. I have seen a difference in the firmness of my skin and I hardly doubt that I wold be able to give up this product even though it is quite pricey.

I tried a mini sample that my mother gave me and I popped them! Why are they in little capsules? I popped one right between my index finger and thumb and it squirted everywhere! I'm glad it doesn't smell horrible and that it was nice and smooth or I would have been a VERY unhappy person. I'm a bit surprised about the texture though, it's a lot more oily than I expected it would be but I've never really used a serum before so I'm no expert. I'm not sure I actually NEED it though. I don't really need to look younger, I'm a teenager for crying out loud! But, I'm eager to try anything and this was another interesting experiment. I guess I'll look 15 years younger now! Haha. :P

Rated 4 out of 5 by Peach perfect from Little pockets of luxury [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product - I didn't really want to because it's so expensive but still I do. Individually packed in little golden caps, the serum stays intact and active ingredients don't start degrading. That's why I think it is so much more effective than other regular serums with similar ingredients. The product itself is oil like fluid but much more silky. No particular fragrance and it absorbs nicely - although might need to give it a bit of time. In terms of effect, it's quite potent. I started with a 7 day sample from Myers and could see the difference in my skin texture even within that short period. The only reason I hesitate to give it 5 stars is because of the price and time it needs to get absorbed - I really don't have that much patience in the morning everyday.

At first I thought they were expensive, however I feel that they are well worth the investment in your skin. I am 61 and people always comment on the texture of my skin and I know that the ceramide capsules attribute to this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by grack from Great for moisturising and restoring the face [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received a sample of this in a cute tube, and the serum is individually wrapped in these little capsules which are very easy to open, and it's also easy to spread on my face. However, they can get messy if you accidentally squish too hard. It's an easy to use serum, spreads easily on the face, and absorbs quite quickly into the skin. It's slightly oily, but isn't oily oily. Ever since using it for a while I've felt my skin get softer, and there are less blemishes. It's a little pricey, and for me it's difficult to use a whole capsule in one, but it's nonetheless pretty good. Not sure that I'd get the whole size due to the price though.

The serum comes in a rubbery fish-like capsule and you twist the tail, then squeeze the product out and apply it onto your skin. For this reason alone, I do find it to be slightly messy. However, the product itself is fantastic and nourishes my dry skin. It does take a minute for the serum to absorb into your skin, so if you're after something that sinks into your skin quickly, then this may not be the serum for you. Overall, great product from Elizabeth Arden and am curious to see other products from the range.

The formula itself is very moisturizing and i love how it is in a small capsule which is easy to travel with. The packaging is not only luxurious looking but is makes it easy to control the amount of serum to apply each time you use. Personally i would not say this product stands out among other serums, because i can find some in drugstore that is equally moisturizing and lifting without the golden packaging. But once in a while, I would repurchase this product to treat myself.

It actually builds the expectation that this will be a great product! The shiny gold jar has a clear centre, revealing the rose gold capsules inside. But the way it opens is what I really love - press the indentation and the lid springs open automatically. The serum is encased in single-use round capsules that are easily opened. The amount of product in each and the design is such that you can get 2 uses out of each if you want to maximise the value. I just use half the capsule and leave it on my bathroom vanity until I use the other half. The serum slides onto the face smoothly, initially leaving a slightly oily film that soaks in after a few minutes. It leaves your skin feeling and looking smooth, nourished and hydrated, ready for the next step in your routine. Over time the results continue to build with my skin looking radiant and healthy, although I haven’t seen a change in wrinkles and lines!

These capsules are easy to open. I found the product dispenses quite fast so you need to be quick in order to not waste product. The cap contains enough product for 1 nights use or if careful I found you could make it last for two uses. The serum is quite oily in texture and effortlessly glides on to the skin. I have normal to dry skin, I did find that the product takes a while to absorb and leaves the skin a bit oily. I like an oily feel so that was great for me. As the product is quite powerfull and rich in texture and ingredients, I found it nicer to use as a night treatment. I did however use in the day time aswell and the serum wears nicely under make up too. Really great product, if price was more reasonable I would love to use this everyday. The only other down-fall for me would also be the capsules, I find them fiddly and they can enhance product wastage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was extremely excited to receive a 7 day sample of Elizabeth Arden's ceramide capsules with my August beautorium purchase - thank you so much beautyheaven! I had not tried the ceramide capsules before, but I had read the reviews about them and was very keen to see their effect on my skin. I agree with a lot of the other bh reviewers about the packaging; though the capsules are unique and luxurious, I feel that the packaging is a little wasteful and would prefer this ceramide serum to be contained in a bottle with a pump dispenser of dropper which would also allow control over the amount of product used. I did not find that I lost any product during twisting open the capsules, just ended up with a little on my fingers which I then spread over my face. I used the entire content of the capsules for each use and applied this serum only at night time after cleansing. I found that there was ample product to cover my face, neck and decolletage and though the serum is oil based, it sunk into my skin and dried after a short amount of time without leaving any greasy residue. These capsules are so hydrating and luxurious! My skin looked more plump and brighter the next day, but after a few days of use I noticed some minor congestion around my nose and also experienced a couple of small white heads in places where I had applied more oil - the lines on my forehead mainly! I have normal to dry skin and I am aged in my mid thirties just to clarify. I was very happy with this facial serum and would be very keen to purchase some to see how continued use will affect my skin. I will probably wait until next winter to purchase as I think this serum would be suited better for the cooler months when extra moisture is needed and I would apply a single capsule every second night to see if this reduces any congestion issues. I found that when using the serum, I could cut out most of the other facial products I usually use and just apply a moisturiser to my face after the serum had been absorbed by my skin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aoperez from Lovely moisturising serum, with instant plumping results [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised to find a sample size of these capsules in my beautorium package recently and was reminded that I did previously really like the Elizabeth Arden range years ago. While I tend to go for the more budget priced beauty products, this is a really lovely product, with stylish packaging (tho I worry about the excess packaging) and very agreeable serum product that glides on easily, is absorbed quickly and seems to give something of a tingly effect. My skin seemed to instantly feel softer and smoother and I expect it to continue to give such results. Very likable after a nice scrub in the shower!

I didn't I would like it, it felt very oily but my skin literally drank it up! After a week using it day and night, I have seen a great improvement in my skin. It was clearer and have more tone. My skin was soft and lines are faded. I would definitely love to buy it, but I think the letdown would be price. They are not cheap. It s a very lovely product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Oli424 from Watery serum oil gives you smooth and soft skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am lucky enough to have a cute tube of Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum capsules as sample which came with my Beautorium. The golden capsule is perfect quantity for one use of the entire face and neck. The tip is easily twist off but sometimes the serum spills because it is too full which sometimes a bit messy. Other than that, the one time capsule design is perfect and hygienic. The serum is surprisingly more liquidly and watery than I thought, because I though it is oil based so it would be richer texture. After five minutes of the application, it soaked in my skin beautifully. My skin is smooth and soft, even the I touched my face the following morning. I am not sure if it has any anti-aging or anti-wrinkle property, because I do not have any wrinkle yet (fingers cross).

I have been aware of this product for quite a long time but due to the cost I have not been in a position to purchase it. I have dry mature skin and I found this oil very rich and moisturising. My skin felt lovely and smooth after application although it is too heavy to use before applying foundationso probably more suitable for night time. The capsules are a cute gimmick and I found that I could get 2 applications from each capsule however I am not a fan of the unnecessary packaging. I think a pump pack or eye dropper would be better.

They look like golden vitamin capsules! The instructions said to twist the tab off in a circular motion twice and it will break off. It was very simple but at the same time messy as the serum spilled out onto my fingers. One capsule is enough for the entire face and neck for either night or day time but if you want, you could use half of it to split it between night and day. I felt it sat on top of my skin for a few hours before it was absorbed. By morning it was a bit oily, I was a bit surprised as I have dry skin, especially during the colder season. There is no scent to it, the serum feels more like a facial oil to me. The price tag is a bit too steep for me if I had wanted to buy this so I am happy with the sample I was given.

Rated 4 out of 5 by akira from Luxurious rich serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive a sample of the Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum in the last Beautorium. I had been seeing the capsules around and have been so curious to try them! The serum is encapsulated in individual rubbery/plastic packaging which allows the formula to be preservative free! (As the contents are not exposed to air, microorganisms are not able to enter, compared to serums in a dropper which can be exposed to air, may require a preservative to keep the contents free from microorganisms). Initially I was unsure of how to open the capsule- the first time round I twisted it and all the contents spilled out. The next time I decided to use scissors to snip the end off- this was a much less messier option! Like everyone else, I was surprised at the amount of product that was provided in one capsule- it could definitely be used for at least 2 applications. The serum was a viscous oil and felt very moisturising and replenishing when applied to the skin. As I have dry/dehydrated skin, this was perfect for me. It kept all the dry patches at bay and made my skin look more plump and feel incredibly soft. I would have to say that this serum is perfect for those with dry, mature, wrinkle prone skin. After the serum application, I followed with my usual mist of Avene Thermal Spring Water, a light layer of rosehip oil and a moisturiser to lock it all in place- this has been my night routine for the past few days! What I love about the Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum is that it is preservative free, very moisturising and softens and plumps the skin. The only downside is the cost- at the price point I don't think I would go out running to the shops to purchase it!

The sample size is great! Plenty of capsules in there to last a few weeks! I used these each morning as a part of my daily routine, after cleansing my face, and before applying primer. Skin felt very soft, and thoroughly moisturised without feeling heavy on the face. I have combination skin so I focused on my dry areas, particularly under my eyes. I did notice a difference over the 2 weeks used, mainly in the under eye area. The small gold capsules are easy to open, contain just the right amount of product for daily use, which is great, I usually get too much out! Unfortunately due to their RRP, it won't be something I will be able to continue. Thanks so much Beauty Heaven for letting my trial them though!!

It is a product I've used in the past but gotten out of the habit of buying. Good news is - I still love it! It's richly hydrating for dry skin and I do like the little capsules - it keeps the product 'fresh' and I suppose the ingredients active since they're not exposed to air until opened and ready for use. They're easy to use - I find, anyway - with the right amount to nourish face, neck ... and beyond! Yes, I do recommend Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum . However, it IS an expensive way to buy a serum. This is the only negative for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I've heard a lot about this Elizabeth Arden Serum, and I wasn't all that keen on buying into the hype, but wouldn't you know - the rumours were all true, this stuff is awesome! These capsules come in a box of 60, and all you have to do to access the serum is to twist off the top of a capsule, then squeeze the content out. The serum itself is a little oily, and feels incredibly rich on the skin, and I find that each capsule has more product in it for use than a one-off. I find that this takes a while to be absorbed into the skin, so I let it air dry and sink in slowly before I apply my moisturiser. This serum makes my face feel like it is soaking up an incredible amount of hydration, and is better when put together with my night cream than during the day with my makeup. I feel that this is best for the cooler months, as it may be too heavy for Summer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rpear from Great for pigmentation- not too fond on the capsule design itself [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample tube of capsules during the beautorium. After reading reviews and doing some research I was very excited when they arrived. I have awarded this product 4 stars solely because of the capsules. I found them so hard to open and I ended up using scissors to slightly pierce each one. This made it much easier to control how much product came out. If I did it as directed I ended up with it all flooding out onto my hand. The capsule contains so much product, that I was able to use each one 3 times. This ment tho that I had to store the capsules in an air tight container in the fridge during the 3 days. The formula has a gentle smell and I love how easy it was to apply to my face. It felt and looked like a silky sheen. It took (using the reduced amount I was using) about 10 minutes to sink into my skin. Once settled my skin looked and felt pretty great. Over the 2 weeks my pigmentation reduced. I had no improvement in my fine lines tho, but it might take longer.... I could see my skin became much clearer and my blackheads had virtually disappeared. Also my pores seemed to be so much smaller, that I now use much less make-up.

While I really did love these serum capsules, however I thought the packaging just seems to be such a waste! Yes they were cute but as far as I know, they are not bio degradable?? The product would work just as well in a pump jar/bottle. My skin felt amazing after using the product , I used just once a day in the evening, I felt that it was a little too oily for me to use during the day. It wasn't too oily for the evening and my skin felt well moisturized and soft. Personally I probably would not purchase after trying the sample based on the price. I thought it was a bit expensive considering the range of professional skincare available at salons with equally impressive results.
