Directions

1. Wash: apply daily to a wet face. Rinse thoroughly with water.
2. Scrub: apply daily, massaging product in circular motions, concentrating
on the T-Zone (forehead, nose & chin). Rinse off with water.
3. Mask: apply to face 2-3 times per week. Allow to dry for 5 minutes.
Rinse off with water.
Avoid eye and lip area. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amy21 from Love it PureActive Intense 3 in 1 Charcoal Anti-Blackhead Wash, Scrub and Mask promises an intense and very deep clean of the pores to help reduce even the most resistant blackheads and prevent their appearance. I don't really suffer with black heads, but rather general breakouts, but still I've found this cleanser useful. It can be used as a gentle and daily wash to help purify the skin and remove dirt and impurities thanks to containing salicylic acid. But it can also be used as a scrub as it contains natural exfoliating particles to help unclog pores and hence prevent the skin from becoming congested and black heads and breakouts from occurring in the first place. Finally, it can also be used as a mask. It has been enriched with charcoal which is an absorbent ingredient that soaks up all excess oil and impurities in the pores, to help neutralise shine and keep the skin soft and smooth, while the added blueberry extract helps keep the skin more balanced. Used as a mask, it just needs to be left on the skin for about 5 minutes to work its magic. I like to use the dark grey cleanser when I'm in the shower and wash my hair - after I've washed my hair and am waiting for my conditioner or hair treatment to soak in, I apply a thin layer to my damp skin on my face, and leave it on as I scrub my body or shave my legs or armpits. And just before I start rinsing my hair, I start gently massaging the mask, to rinse it off, while I let the gentle particles exfoliate my skin at the same time. And then I can simply wash it all off as I rinse my hair. Speak about multi-tasking! And I love how this is a multi-tasking product, and works as a mask too by being left on the skin, and it is gentle enough for everyday use. And after use, my skin is left soft and clear, and without being dried out or irritated. And I am convinced that frequent use of this will not only help my skin be less greasy but also help control the amount of breakouts that I get. So all in all I find that this is a brilliant product that does exactly what it promises, and on top, its pretty budget friendly too. I'll definitely be repurchasing this one again and again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dreamy from Great Multipurpose product Thanks BH for giving me chance of trialing this product which can be used as wash, scrub and mask. Problem of buying 3 different products for home facial is finally been resolved by this all purpose wonder and no hues for storing three tubes in cabinet as already struggling in a shared accommodation. It comes in easy squeezable tube and packaging is simple. Also, very economical as tube is big and for a small squeeze of product goes a long way. Cherry on the cake is can be used in 3 different ways. I have combination skin with blackheads prone to nose only. I have been using it as a scrub daily and mask twice in a week. The texture of the product is thick creamy which is dark grey coloured which granuling exfoliating beads which works perfect as a scrub to remove blackheads by unclogging pores and removing the dust. The microbeads are not harsh at all. The smell is quite fresh and keeps the skin supple after wash as no excess stripping of oil from the face. Blueberry and Salicylic acid makes it excellent antioxidant product. Charcoal is well known for drawing toxins from the skin. All these products make it a winner for me as I am always in search of products which are anti ageing and mild. My blackheads are noticeably less and skin is visibly smoother with less oil. As a mask it draws impurities and my pores size shrinked. To work mask better, leave it on the skin for more than 5 minutes as it needs to be completely dry. No irritation or itcy skin. I would recommend it as overall the best scrubber I have used. I will definitely purchase this multifunctional product. The cons as it is dark coloured, it has stained my towel and little bit messy to use.

I am not the greatest fan of charcoal scrubs at the best of times so didnt really go in to using the Garnier Skin Active 3 in 1 charcoal anti-blackhead wash/scrub/mask with the most enthusiasm. I was however very shocked and surprised at just how fantastic this product is after one single use! This product is designed for oily combo skin, and found it didnt affect the quality of my skin in any way, ie drying it out or anything like that. The product is surprisingly thick and a little goes a long way! It applies and spreads easily over the face and has a subtle pleasant scent, which i quite like. It does feel a little grainy, so if you are sensitive to those sorts of feelings of things on your face, then you will need to approach with caution when using this product. My problem areas are my nose and chin, so i focussed on these areas only. After using the scrub i found it didnt really make much of a difference on my nose, which suggests its not a blackhead issue but sebaceous filaments. It did however literally work magic on my chin area and unclogged quite a few blocked pores and left my skin looking and feeling more healthy. I have used it as a wash and as a mask and found using it as a mask worked much better for my skin as it allowed for the product to spend much longer on my skin to unclog the pores. This is a product i would gladly repurchase and would suggest to anyone who has oily combo skin and in need of dealing with the issue of blackheads! Thanks BH x

Rated 5 out of 5 by Katelyn2209 from 3 in 1 Wash, Scrub and Mask, How Great! After using the Garnier 3 in 1 Charcoal Anti-Blackhead scrub for two weeks I started to notice a difference in my skin. I felt like I wasn't suffering form as may blemishes and my skin was smoother and not as oily. It comes in a great size squeeze bottle of 150mls which should last at least 1-2 months when using every day. The lid is think sturdy plastic which seals well for no leakage. It has a rather strong smell, of charcoal with a hint of blueberry extract. It is not a horrible smell even though it is quite strong. It has a think texture and is black/grey in colour, with small grains of sand size exfoliating beads in it. You only need between a 10c - 20c piece size to get a great full coverage of your face and neck. It is very easy to wash off either in the shower or just with a damp flannel. Its great as can be used as a wash, scrub and mask. I suffer from oily/combination skin with mild blemishes. I have used a few clay masks and scrubs in the past that are of a similar texture and claim similar benefits. After using the Garnier 3 in 1 my skin felts softer and not as oily and it seems to have given me better results than the other products I have used previously. It doesn't make my face red either. This would defiantly be a product I would recommend for people with the same skin as me. I used it twice a week as a mask out side of the shower, leaving on for 5 mins. Found just after 2 weeks and 4 masks my blemishes/ blackheads are hardly there. I can't really find a bad thing to say about this product, I would defiantly use it again.

The product come in a good size tube that would last me for months.It squeezes out easily.The colour of the product is charcoal and the consistency is grainy.I have used it daily for the past 3 weeks as a mask, a scrub and face wash.I love all 3 functions but the mask is my favouritte only because it feels and looks great as a mask.I have oily and acne prone skin and all scrubs that ive used in the past have alwas stripped my face and made me break out like crazy.This doesnt and my face feels fairly moisturised and smooth after using this. One of the ingredients in Salicylic acid which is great for acne.The grains in this product is smooth and small and good for your skin instead of big and sharp

I know charcoal is a popular ingredient in cleansing products in Japan and Korea and I've come across this one which is just as good. I can only say positive things about this product. It has exfoliating particles that act as a scrub and make my skin feel super clean but is gentle enough for daily use. I absolutely love the tingly feel it leaves on my skin. With the right amount you can spread it over your face and leave it on as a mask. You know it's deep-cleansing because the black stuff takes more effort to wash off than regular soap! I don't have any breakouts at the moment, so I didn't see much difference in skin condition in terms of before and after. But I would definitely keep buying and using this product acne-prone or not. This is exactly what I would look for in a facial wash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ashleigh91 from Very convenient and effective I was given the opportunity to trial the Garnier Pure Active Intensive Charcoal 3-in-1 as part of the Trial Team, and I found that overall it was quite effective at managing oiliness in my skin, and also at eliminating blackheads (both things I've really struggled with in the past) I used this product daily as a wash and scrub, and left it on longer every couple of days to be used as a mask. The 3-in-1 nature of the product made it very easy to incorporate into my daily routine; I normally wouldn't take the time or even remember to use a mask. I found the smell to be a little bit strong but not unpleasant. The consistency and texture were fairly thick and smooth, as the exfoliating beads are fine enough to be gentle but still effective. It washes off easily and leaves no trace on your skin afterwards, despite the dark grey-ish colour. Within just a couple of days of using this wash, I was already able to notice that my skin was producing less oil throughout the day and that blackheads and other imperfections were rising to the surface and disappearing. I will note that I've had to limit the areas that I use the mask to prevent my skin from becoming overly dry, and I still have some issues with blackheads as it seems the progress there has been slower. However, I would be interested to see how the product holds up over a longer period of usage, now that I am more familiar with how best to use it to suit my skin type. I would recommend this to family and friends.

My skin is combination, a little oily in the T zone but my cheeks can be quite dry. Having used plenty of drugstore skincare products in the past, I didn't have high hopes. However much to my surprise, I was hooked first use. It left my skin feeling clean, fresh, smooth but not try across my cheeks like plenty other scrubs do. I used this twice daily to wash my face, then about twice a week I left it on for about 5 minutes, before rubbing it in circular motions to exfoliate and rinsing. At the start of the trail I had a number of breakouts on my chin, which significantly subsided over the duration of the week. The rest of my skin looked healthy and fresh as well, without being dried out. Overall I really loved this product and was thrilled to receive it as part of the BH trial team, as it was not something that I would usually buy. If you have have oily/breakout prone or combination skin I would highly recommend giving this one a go!

My skin is oily/combination, with a tendency to break out as well as impurities. I have heard that charcoal is good for your skin, and this trial was a great opportunity to try it out for myself Initially, the formula was a little intimidating. It is quite thick and muddy, which made me a little hesitant to apply it to my face. Applying it was fairly easy - you don't need much product and it applies very smoothly. The smell is also pleasant and not as strong as I thought it would be. I used the product as a mask rather than washing it off straight away. I left it on for around ten minutes and I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the results! My skin was left feeling super smooth, and my impurities cleared up within a couple of days. I also loved the fact that my skin didn't feel tight or dry but rather felt moisturised and fresh I highly recommend this product to anyone with oily/combination skin who want to freshen up their skin!

Leaving my face feeling cleansed, tight and reduced the re- appearances of blackheads on my chin and nose. The first few days of using this product, I was using it as the scrub & face mask which i really liked. My skin looked refreshed, clean and my skin looked like it was slightly glowing. Which was a bonus. As a quick wash in the morning it was ok although being the charcoal product, it was a little messy & I had to make sure I washed it off properly. I preferred using this at night before bed. My skin has cleared up a bit and also looks alot fresher and skin tone looking even. It's a great deep cleasing 3 in 1 skin care product that is affordable easy to use hand held squeezed tube. Loved being apart of this trial team. I would recommend this product to everyone with black head problems.

I have wanted to try a Charcoal face mask/wash for so long and was so pleased to be accepted into this trial particularly because it is actually an amazing product. The Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1 Charcoal Intensive wash, scrub and mask deeply cleanses and quickly helps reduce any breakouts. I used this as both a mask that I left on for 5 minutes at a time approx two times a week, then on the opposite nights I would use it as a wash/scrub. Immediately after using it as a mask, my skin felt smoother with any imperfections visibly reduced in size and less red. The scrubs I used in between worked equally as well making my skin feel fresh and clean. I have and would continue to recommend this product to anyone who struggles with controlling their breakouts or just wants a relaxing mask that makes you feel pampered with smooth, beautiful skin.

I will definitely throw out my out St Ives Apricot Scrub and replace it with this one in the future. I have had problem skin by getting pimples of late and was using the St Ives in the shower. It just wasn’t making a difference. This Garnier charcoal scrub is super effective; and the charcoal even feels a bit like a day spa treatment! For the price it is so worth trying and a little goes a long way. I use it in the shower as it can be a bit messy. I am very against plastic microbeads as they wash down into the sea, never break down and kill marine life. Garnier has used plastic microbeads in the past and I am glad that they are improving their products now to not include them. The exfoliant product in this scrub is all natural. I also find that its not as harsh as the Apricot scrub so it should be fine for sensitive skin types. I would recommend this product as I really loved it. Charcoal for cleaning skin is amazing and its nice to pamper and feel happy with my skin Cons: Don’t use excessively it can dry skin Ideal for: Problem breakouts. I has bad oily skin and blackheads before the trial and after two weeks my skin is blemish free!

I use it as a face scrub while im in the shower, and have noticed that my skin is A LOT smoother than before, not to mention my blackheads on my cheeks have begun to clear! I've tried many charcoal scrubs and I hate when they dry tight and your face hurts after, so I wad dubious about this hut it turned out to be excellent. It didn't leave any redness but I felt refreshed after removing it, like it had done a superb job of cleaning my skin. It wasn't tight, it was easy to remove and it has no strong scent My skin definitely looked improved after use and I will continue to use this inmy regular regime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Embibi from Gentle cleansing facial scrub The garnier pure active intensive charcoal 3-in-1 treatment was amazing. It's not something I would normally buy. As I don't know much about charcoal or the benefits of it. I opened up the bottle and I was a bit put off by the black colour! I was thinking to myself am I really going to put this on my face! I smelt it and it smells refreshing, almost minty which was reassuring. This 3 in 1 treatment has made my face so soft, and gotten rid of all my small pimple/breakouts I normally get! It's made a huge difference to my skin in such a short time! I would recommend if you like using the one product for multiple things. I used this Dailey in the shower as a cleanser. And twice a week I used it as a scrub really getting into my pores, I also used it once as a mask and it was great for all 3! I will be buying this in the future!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Eva S. from First impressions aren’t always right Not to start off negative, but when I originally used this product my skin went insanely flakey - and I didn’t even have super dry skin. So obviously I tossed it away somewhere and never looked back. Over the period of time where the mask was never to be found I was moisturising daily and just elevating my skin care routine in general. Then one day I stumbled on this again and decided to give it another shot. Genuinely one of the best decisions I’ve made because the scrub is absolutely phenomenal. It’s practically become a staple for me, and I use it every one or two days. Personally, the scrub is the best out of three because it makes your skin feel baby smooth and the tiny granules help exfoliate your skin without tearing or stripping your skin away - which is always a plus. So I highly highly highly recommend this product to anyone who has OILY TO COMBINATION SKIN and also has PAST EXPERIENCE WITH SKINCARE. If you’re looking for a first time scrub or wash maybe this isn’t for you, and you should probably try something lighter. Also make sure you MOISTURISE IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS because it helps retain the moisture your skin needs after exfoliating. The product is rated a 4, only issue being the harshness of it to the skin when it’s being focalised on the T-Zone area.

I have a combination of dry and oily skin type so i also double it up as a face mask once a week and i find that it really helps balance out my skin. My husband also uses it and loves that he can scrub his face in the shower. We've been buying this product since and only need to invest in 1 between the two of us. Would really recommend if your partner needs a face was as well.

I have normal-dry skin but I have a big issue with those annoying little black dots on my nose and have tried strips, peel-off masques and scrubs to remove them but all had their issues and I am not happy with any of them. This product does exactly what I want it to and works a treat! It comes in an economical 150ml squeeze tube and is made in France. I like to apply it as a masque to my nose area, let it almost dry then gently rub it off with a warm, damp cotton round or makeup remover cloth and found this removes those little black dots like nothing else. It smells lovely, very fresh, and has that minty tingle on the skin (not wild about this, it leaves my skin a little red but it calms down quickly). Yes it is quite messy, but it rinses away easily. Overall it's excellent value, lasts me forever (I've had it for months now and barely made a dent) and it really does work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anna K. from I have been using The Pure Active Intensive 3 in 1 Charcoal Wash/Scrub/Mask for a number of months now and I love it! I have combination skin and I think for my skin type it works best as a daily facial wash. I do also like using it as a scrub, but as a mask I am a little unsold on it. \n\nI have been obsessed with skincare products that contain charcoal as it has amazing cleansing and purifying properties, so that fact that this wash contains charcoal as one of the main ingredients is a huge tick for me. It also contains blueberry extract and in fact that smell of it does remind me of blueberries, which is very pleasant. The colour is not surprisingly a deep charcoal and it does tend to get a bit messy when washing it off, so I recommend using it in the shower to avoid a very messy vanity and sink.\n\nOverall, it leaves my skin feeling and looking lean and my pores appearing smaller! Lovely product for daily use.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sarah Oh from So, I would classify my skin as primarily dry, with the usual difficult to manage combination T-Zone area. I also tend to get those pesky hormonal breakouts around my chin and jawline. Great, so now that this very important background information has been covered, let's get down to the pièce de résistance; Garnier's Pure Active Intensive Charcoal 3-in-1 wash, scrub and mask.\n\nFirst impressions were that the minty scent was a little overpowering for my liking, however, by the fifth or sixth time I used it, it had grown on me. The colour of the product is this really off-putting cement grey that has micro-beads (major sad face here, but I guess we all can't be perfect, right?!) in it. However, on the skin, it actually feels quite nice. The minty-ness is quite cooling, which has been great for summer.\n\nAs a face wash, I found it a little too thick, and as a scrub a little too thin, and not that exfoliating. However, I have been loving it as a weekly mask. I'll leave it on for about 5 minutes in the shower and then wash it off. It is so refreshing, and my skin feels so clean and clear. This is by far my favourite way to use this product, which has managed to work its way into my weekly routine.\n\nJust a little tip: If using it as a quick face wash, probably don't use a light coloured towel/face washer...it does tend to stain...\n\nI think it would be ideal for acne prone skin...the salicylic acid really helped to keep my hormonal breakouts under control!\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from What a great product!\n\nI’m a sucker for multi-purpose products, so once I saw this I knew I have to give it a whirl. \n\nPros - feels amazing on the skin (the beads are just the right size so you don’t feel like you’re scrapping at your skin), smell is pleasant, helps to bring pimple to the surface\n\nCons - didn’t remove all my blackheads (it may have tightened my pores though!)\n\nOverall: great product that I’d definitely use on a weekly basis to exfoliate and draw out my impurities.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chelsea H. from i love the versatility of this product, In my thirties i find it a great once a week mask to strip all impurities and clear away any blackheads that may be forming, however my teenage son is using it daily as a wash and it really has cleared up his acne prone skin, his skin does not look anywhere near as oily as it did prior to him commencing with this product as part of his daily routine. My sensitive skin has not had a problem with it at all, and my chin which has always been the most blackhead prone place on my face is nearly 100% clear. I am confident recommending this to any age group if they have similar acne concerns.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Deanna B. from Such an interesting little product this one as it is able to be used as a wash, a scrub and a mask.... i do personally find it best and easiest to simply use as a scrub but that might be personal preference.\n\nthe colour of this is a deep charcoal that is quite disconcerting when first used. it seems like it is going to stain everything, the shower floor, your fingers, under your nails, your face.... but it doesn't! The smell is quite subtle and appealing i would describe it as soft and smokey.\nAs a wash i don't think this product really works... i find the scrub particles in this product is a little too harsh to use as an every day wash. as soon as you start to massage it into the face, it becomes a scrub and defeats the purpose of using it as a wash...\non the other hand I LOVE IT AS A SCRUB! the charcoal and blueberry extract really helps to purify the skin. it gets deep into the pores and scrubs and rejuvenates the skin well. the scrub is quite harsh on the skin and works well to be used a few times a week.\nAs a mask it was super easy to put on and smoothed over the skin easily and i was able to get a nice even layer with out tugging on the skin. however it was quite difficult to wash off and i had to add another foaming wash onto my skin to be able to wash off the mask.\n\nThe product did exactly what it intended to do. it helped to unclog my pores and to pull out a lot of my blackheads and makes them look less pronounced. i am also finding, since using it, that my oils are being a little more controlled. I'm excited to see the results continue.\n\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by Emilee Kime from I trialled this product and must say I was impressed! As a mask it left my skin silky and smooth, as a daily wash it is fantastic and very cleansing. I saw big improvements in breakouts, blackheads and blocked pores when used consistently. Only let down for me was as a scrub - I tend to be very dry and flaky at times around my T Zone and need something a little more abrasive as a scrub.
