General Information

Robitussin Dry Cough Forte controls coughs for up to 8 hours. It has a throat soothing formula.

Robitussin Dry Cough Forte provides symptomatic relief of dry, irritating and hacking coughs for up to 8 hours in adults and children. Robitussin liquid coats and soothes the throat. It contains the cough suppressant Dextromethorphan hydrobromide monohydrate to relieve coughs due to minor throat and bronchial irritations as may occur with a cold.

Suitable For: Adults and children 6 years of age and over

Use in children aged 6-11 years only on the advice of a doctor, pharmacist or nurse practitioner.

Warnings

Do not use this product:
- If you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients
- If you are taking prescription medication for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions e.g. monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) or Parkinson's disease, or for 2 weeks after stopping the medication. If you are not sure if your prescription medication contains one of these drugs, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product
- During an acute asthma attack
- f you have impaired liver function
- In children under 6 years of age

Ask your doctor before use if you:
- Have a persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with: - smoking - asthma - chronic bronchitis - emphysema
- Have a cough with excessive phlegm
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Are taking other medicines

While using this product:
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
- Stop use and consult your doctor if you have a cough that persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur or is accompanied by fever, rash or persistent headache. These could be signs of a serious condition

- In case of overdose, stop use and immediately contact the Poisons Information Centre (Australia 13 11 26, New Zealand 0800 764 766) for advice.

Do not use if tamper evident cap seal is broken or missing.

Ingredients

Benzoates • Hydroxybenzoates • Saccharin • Sugars • Sulfites
Dextromethorphan hydrobromide monohydrate 15mg/5mL

Directions

Every 6 to 8 hours orally when necessary.
Do not exceed 4 doses in a 24 hour period. Use in children aged 6 to 11 years only on the advice of a doctor, pharmacist or nurse practitioner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cough suppresant I've found. Excellent cough suppresant for irritating dry coughs and good at night to get to sleep if coughing keeping you awake. Best one I've found. And when I asked my doctor what he thought of me using this one, he told me he used it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cough medicine to stop your cough This cough medicine has one of the only two cough medicine ingredients you can get that's actually a cough suppressant and not an expectorant (that dextro stuff) and has always worked really well for stopping my cough when I'm sick in the past; so last week when I got sick with a bad dose of the flu I picked some up from the Beenleigh Chemist Warehouse. Sick all week, but the Robitussin helped to stop the cough and soothed my throat so, still sick but well enough to go back to work I went to buy some more tonight and they had none in stock and I was told they're apparently not ordering it in any more. This is despite the website saying it's "Available" for both Click and Collect ordering and buying In Store (10th February 2020). Very disappointed because now I have to try and make do with Duro-Tuss (which has the different cough suppressant) or the Bisolvon Dry Cough (which has less dextro stuff) and they're both apricot flavour without the throat soothing of this product and they're both smaller bottles for the same price as this product which I prefer and know works for me for sure. If you can find Robitussin dry cough, I recommend it for stopping your cough.

Works well on dry cough then next morning I was able to expel phlegm even though I didn't feel as though I had a phlegm cough. This product is inexpensive and comes in 250ml. The only bad thing is the flavour, but what can ya do.
