Lipikar Huile Lavante AP+ Cleansing Oil 400ml is formulated for dry to very dry sensitive skin to gently cleanse skin without excess rubbing. The Lipikar cleanser formula contains prebiotic Aqua Posae Filiformis to help rebalance the skins microbiome, as it gently removes dirt and impurities, and also protects the skin against the drying effects of hard water. This oil cleanser has an ultra-gentle formula is enriched with soothing Niacinamide and lipid-replenishing Shea Butter for nourished skin. Lipikar Huile Lavante AP+ Cleansing Oil is suitable for the whole family, from adults to children and babies and does not sting the eyes. Directions

Lipikar Huile Lavante AP+ Cleansing Oil can be used as a cleanser in both the shower and bath.
- For use in the shower, apply to wet skin and massage gently before rinsing. Gently pat skin dry and avoid excess rubbing.
- For use in the bath, add 5 pumps to bath water and mix well.
- For enhanced results, apply Lipikar Lait Body Milk after cleansing.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a big bottle of cleansing oil for trial. I have not used La Roche products before. I haven't used it yet as the representative explained that it's not suitable for newborn. My newborn has very dry and probably eczema skin, it's very important to have products that are not harsh and I am use it will be put to good use in the near future. I've been using GAIA all along with my older one. If this works I might even get another bottle!

It feels less drying than my usual shower gel but I still need to use a body lotion/cream afterwards during winter, which is fine for me. I have never used a shower wash which allowed me not to use a body lotion in the winter. I have also been using it to wash my baby's hair as she has really dry scalp and I think it looks a bit better since using it. There are less flakes than before. The oil leaves a light fresh scent, which I quite like.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gentle cleansing option [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] La Roche-Posay Lipikar Huile Lavante AP+ Body Cleansing Oil like much of the La Roche-Posay line has been created with sensitive skin in mind, so when it comes to your babies fresh delicate skin it is a great option. The Lipikar Huile Lavante AP+ Body Cleansing Oil is designed for dry to very dry sensitive skin and contains prebiotic Aqua Posae Filiformis to help balance the skins natural biome. It is meant to require less scrubbing to help reduce skin irritation, though I found while slightly less there still is a bit of rubbing needed for more stubborn dirt. Key active ingredients are; shea butter, niacinamide and AQUA POSAE - FILIFORMIS which is a La Roche-Posay patented ingredient. The product does contain perfume which is a hypoallergenic type, personally I prefer products to be perfume free where possible due to family tendency to allergies, we have found it’s always a bit of a gamble and this one is rather strong. This also works as a great make up remover oil should you wish ti have a nice multi use product in the house.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from gentle on ezcema skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have been using some laroche posay products eveb before i had a baby and now with my ezcema baby, this cleasing oil is one of our favourite products as it cleans very well without leaving the skin dry and the skin looks hydrated and well cared without feeling oily . its gentle on her skin even during the flare out. this cleansing oil is Soap-free, alcohol-free, colourant-free and paraben-free which is suitable for newborn skin and ezcema as well as adult. occasionally i have used this for cleansing my face especially during winter as it didnt dry out my skin. the smell however its a bit unique. not that its unpleasant or stop us from using the product.

Representative there advised that this was great for not only cleansing skin in general but could also be used to remove make up, this would be my only complaint in a rather almost perfect product, the formula is quite strong against eyes. Do not buy any chance make any contact with your eyes as it will burn like fires of hell, no matter how much water you put in your eyes it will sting for quite some time.

I like that the product for being highly moisturizing without leaving a greasy film on the skin. It has helped to reduce the visibility of dry patches and leaves the skin feeling silky and soft. However, it may not be strong enough for people with severe eczema. I found this product to be effective in hydrating and calming my dry, sensitive skin, especially elbows and knees and noticed significant improvement in my skin's texture and appearance.

Since having a baby I am suffering dry skin due to breastfeeding and constant hand washing, I can say that this cleansing oil cleans nicely leaving the skin soft without feeling oily. I use it daily to wash my baby as well. It does have a scent which I’m not particularly fond of, however is not overpowering and the fragrance disappears from the skin after a short amount of time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective skin care This cleansing oil is very nice, I use it with glove loofas; my skin comes up clean and hydrated. No oily residue either. Has made a big difference to my dry skin. Absolutely love this for my shower. It foams and leaves my skin from dryness followed by the body balm. After each use my skin felt very clean and soft with using this product as well as not dry. I really enjoy this product. It also lasted months even with daily use but I only used a small amount each time. It is an expensive wash but if you have damaged or dry skin it's very helpful.It hydrates my skin and removes any dry patches. It takes away all the itchy skin I have.

I hadn't heard of Lipikar until I received it in a beauty box and was so impressed with the delicate scent and non-drying formula that I have been repurchasing ever since ( and recently picked up a discounted supply at a French pharmacy). La Roche Posay has several ranges for specific skin concerns and this addresses very dry and delicate skin, which is why it is also recommended for babies and children. I particularly like using this as a body wash because it is a fantastic alternative to soap, which can dry out the skin, and it has a lovely fresh scent. I don't really have to use body lotion as a next step (which is a bonus if you're in a hurry or simply feeling lazy!) - it is THAT hydrating. The scent is very subtle - I guess it is Shea butter - and so unlikely to irritate most people. It can also be used as a facial cleanser although I prefer it mainly for the body, as my mature facial skin may need something even more gentle. For many people, however, it works for both face and body, making it a very versatile product and a cinch for paring down a beauty routine while travelling. Lipikar is a real pampering experience. I can't recommend this rich but gentle cleansing oil highly enough.

That being said I wouldn't hesitate using this on my bub as it was recommended to me but I also prefer using for my own skin as I think there is enough baby specific natural products out there that would be better for young dictate skin I would recommend this product for women to add to their skincare routine and useful if you want to save on packing for a trip as can be used by mum and bub

I love the pump bottle but I'm not a fan of the fragrance. I am breastfeeding and find the scent lingers so won't use this after this bottle finishes - maybe I'm using too much? If you're OK with the fragrance then it would be great during winter with the low humidity and chilling wind to reduce your skin from cracking. It's a wash that is designed to be used in the shower or bath. It's great having a product that everyone in the family can use. Which means less products and clutter in the bathroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Luxurious cleansing oil for Mum and baby La Roche-Posay Lipikar Huile Lavante AP+ Body Cleansing Oil is a thick gel-like consistency with a pleasant scent (although this might be a bit too strong for baby). It gently cleanses and hydrates dry and sensitive skin, leaving a protective barrier in place. This oil would be the ideal cleanser for baby’s bottom at nappy change time, can be added to the bath to nourish and moisturise baby’s tender skin, and even used for treating cradle cap. For mums, this product is perfect for cleansing and moisturising dry / irritated skin, and can even be used as a makeup remover.

He has been getting some nappy rash routinely and is a gentle hydrating way of cleaning it without rubbing hard when he has done poos. I’ve tried it in my dry sensitive skin and found it nicely hydrating without feeling like my skin is greasy or oily. The pump feature is always a plus as it tends to not be messy and you can use a little or a lot depending on how big an area you are cleansing. It is purfumed, so for those sensitive to smells it might be a turn off. I didn’t feel that the addition of purfume caused any irritation to my skin.

However I personally don't love the smell and that's enough for me to not want to buy it again. It also made decent bubbles when used in the bath for my kid but I don't think I could use it regularly there either due to the scent. That's just a personal preference though, I'm a bit fussy about smells, dislike all perfumes and prefer fragrance free products in general, not just for my face. I think I will try another product from this brand though to try as a facial cleanser because I do like the quality of it. The matching moisturiser is great and not scented like this.

The texture was nice, absorbent and provided my skin with a lasting moisturising effect. My only gripe was with the fragrance; it was quite strong and overpowering. However, this might not be an issue for some people or if you enjoy scented skincare products. If you're looking for an oil that hydrates and provides a luxurious experience, then this might be the perfect fit for you. It was easy to use, didn't leave any greasy residue, and was an all-around great moisturiser. Just be aware that the fragrance might be too much for some people, so if you're sensitive to that sort of thing, look for a fragrance-free option instead. Overall, I would recommend this oil to anyone who isn't put off by fragrances and is in search of a moisturising product that really works.

It lathers up nicely for a moisturising body wash that protects the skin from drying and helps with eczema. You can also add a few pumps into the bath for babies, so love the convenient packaging for that. It also works well as an oil to remove makeup which is handy. It does however have a strong smell which I personally don’t mind but worth testing out first.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a traditional oil I love using oils to melt my makeup before I was it off with a cleanser and wanted to try something new as my other previous one (Palmers) was irritating my eyes. It is not a traditional oil, it lathers up, which traditional oils don't. Still, it is more moisturising than just double cleansing with a straight cleanser, so I like it for that... it also does not irritate my eyes or skin at all, so it's gentle. It is a great price for a huge bottle so I probably will repurchase.

This cleansing oil leaves my skin clean and hydrated- no real need for creams after my shower! ( which is great, one less thing to apply) Love this for everyday use!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love La Roche Posay products Generally I love La Roche-Posay products. However this one, though it performs well, has a smell to it that I do not really think is good. Their products are normally kind for the skin and do not contain artificial ingredients and perfumes, but this one has a not so nice scent about it. I'm wondering if it is a bit old and containing oil, the oil has kind of aged with a bit of taint. Possibly not, however I have not come across anything like this with any other LaRoche Posay product I have ever used. Namely the shower gel(s), body moisturiser, facial moisturiser and sun block(s) products. All of which I use daily.

Unfortunately, it's not made clear on the bottle that this is a foaming oil cleanser - the cleanser almost immediately suds up and it feels like you don't actually get to reap the benefits of using an oil on the skin. Overall, the cleanser feels too stripping, and doesn't do much to deeply cleanse my skin. I generally like to use my oil cleanser as a first cleanse, followed by a water based cleanser. However, this feels too stripping to be used as a first cleanser. I won't be purchasing this again.

While I've used La Roche-Posay products before, I had no idea that some of their products were suitable for babies too! Neither myself or bub have very dry skin / eczema which this product is targeted to so I probably wouldn't use this regularly, but it does leave the skin feeling soft and hydrated. The cleansing oil has a distinct smell, which I don't mind for my use but not sure about it for my 4 month old bub. I prefer something more natural for baby. The product is a good size and would last a while.

However, it is incredibly heavy on fragrance and the fragrance is not a natural one, it is highly perfumed but I don’t like the fragrance and I don’t want to use it on my children or myself.
