General Information

Aerogard Heavy Duty 40% Deet Aerosol Spray is Aerogard's highest strength insect repellent for long lasting protection against mosquitoes & other insects. 12 hours protection against mosquitoes.

Aerogard’s highest strength insect repellent with 40% Deet

- A heavy duty aerosol spray that is specifically formulated for long lasting protection in areas of intense insect activity

- 12 hours protection against mosquitoes.

- Effective protection against mosquitoes, sandflies and leeches

- Also repels march flies, ticks and other biting insects

- Helps to protect you and your family against disease carrying insects including mosquitoes that may spread Ross River Fever and Dengue Fever

- Additional repellency can be gained by lightly spraying clothing

PRECAUTIONS

Keep out of reach of children. Extremely flammable. Do not spray directly on pets, exposed food, water, food preparation areas or food utensils. Do not spray near naked flame heat or any incandescent material. Do not smoke during use. Do not spray towards the face. Avoid contact with cell phones, spectacle frames, painted surfaces, synthetic fabrics and vinyl plastics. Avoid inhaling spray mist. Will irritate the eyes. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands after use. Discontinue use if irritation or rash develops. For external use only.

Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling contents can be harmful or fatal

Ingredients

Diethyl Toluamide, Butane, Alcohol Denat, Isopropyl Myristate, Fragrance (Amyl Cinnamal, Hydroxyxitronellal, Isoeugenol Citonellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.

Directions

Shake well before use. Hold can upright and lightly spray on exposed skin from a distance of 15-20cm. To apply to face, spray on hands and rub on. Do not spray towards eyes or mouth. Reapply as necessary, particularly after excessive perspiration. Additional repellency can be gained by applying to clothing, spray on where clothing is tight on the body. Not to be used for any purpose or in any manner, contrary to this label unless authorised.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

Pressurised dispenser. Keep in a cool place away from heat and out of the sun. Do not expose can to temperatures above 50°C, such as may occur in cars, or near heat sources such as heaters, stoves, or open flames. Do not store near naked flame, heat or any incandescent material. Do not incinerate or puncture this can even when empty. Aerosols should be completely empty before disposing. Dispose of can by putting in garbage or leaving it at an appropriate recycling collection   point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really effective personal insect repellent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the stuff you want to pack when you're concerned you may be carried away by flies/mozzies. It really does the trick as far as keeping the insects at bay. We've had a lot of rain which means a lot of standing water which means a LOT of mozzies. Usually, if I go out after about 3pm I'm feasted upon. Not when I'm covered in this! I'm subtracting a star as it is a bit smelly and I can feel that I'm wearing it. But when the alternative is bites galore, I'll choose the Aeorgard!!

Not sure what age it can be used from . Had a bit of an insect repellent scent which is expected from a repellent high in Deet. Was very effective in repelling the mosquitoes and has the added benefit of Deet which is great in the tropics!

Remained a little greasy after application and there was a scent if you looked for it but it was pleasant enough. Went for a bush walk and was not bitten, would recommend but I would personally choose a spray pump odourless version of this product instead. Happy that it’s Australian made.

The packaging id very eye catching and information very easy to read. Very easy to apply and I found that the scent was not too overpowering and quite pleasant. The fact that it states 12 hours of protection is very reassuring and upon testing this can confirm that it does offer this. A fantastic product that is develop and tested in my home country Australia makes me feel proud. Definetly recommend.

I used it on a camping trip and sprayed it at sunrise and sunset. Make sure you spray in a well ventilated space otherwise u will choke on it

I feel like I did get bitten by a mozzie through my shirt so I will try spraying it on my clothing as well in the future. It has a very light sent which actually didn’t make me sneeze unlike every other insect repellent minus one (including Aeroguard Odourless). I feel confident using this again

However, it’s great if you don’t mind a stronger scent and really need protection against mosquitos, here it would be highly effective. Great value also for the size and 12 hour protection. So, whilst not for me and my lifestyle I think it’s great for others that require strong, long protection.

But after receiving this sample and looking more into Deet, I don’t like it, and this product is 40% deer! Tried it by only spraying on clothing and not directly on skin, but will not be using for my family in the future.
