Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tried and tested [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate to sample this one with a Beautyheaven purchase. This shampoo wasn't really for me. I will say that my hair felt clean after using which was good. Also I like the scent... It reminds me of the smell of citrus fruit tree flower. Also consistency is good - not too runny so it's easy to use. Plus you don't need to use lots - it lathers well. But, unfortunately my hair felt quite dry after using. I'm putting this down to the fact that I have bleached blonde hair which tends to dry and frizz if I don't use a really moisturizing hair shampoo and conditioner. So I don't think this one is for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Ingredients, Bit Drying [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a nice gift from bh with my beautorium haul. It came in a sample satchet split in two for what I assume would be two uses. The scent was quite strong but pretty. Very Fruity. The shampoo didn't lather very well for me and I could immediately feel even before drying that my hair felt more brittle and basically stripped of all natural oils. Definitely a deep cleaning shampoo and maybe not as natural as the packaging suggests. When dry my hair was nicely scented but felt a lot stiffer and less moisturized and soft than usual. I love that aloe vera is in the ingredients and the scent is amazing but my hair needs a gentler, less stripping shampoo.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautorium April 2016 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this with my Beautorium haul (a sachet of the shampoo and one of the matching conditioner). I don't use Palmolive normally as I find lots of 'supermarket' shampoos leave my hair very heavy. This shampoo smelt beautiful- I loved the scent. I didn't need to use much (and I have long hair). My hair definitely felt clean and soft afterwards and it was easy to brush. It probably got a little oilier quicker than normal. It is a very inexpensive shampoo that does what it says. However I will probably stick to my usual shampoo :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good general shampoo though not exactly natural [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The use of the word “Naturals” in the name of this shampoo is something of a misnomer. It’s no more natural than any supermarket brand and contains quite a few ingredients like ammonium laurel sulphate (ingredient #1), water insoluble silicones, and synthetic perfumes that are decidedly unnatural. That said, it’s a reasonably good overall product if you’re looking for a readily available budget priced daily shampoo and aren’t too fussed about avoiding SLSs, DEAs, and other chemicals (I do make an effort to at least minimise them, because they’re in so many products that the collective use could be quite high). The shampoo does actually contain some nice ingredients too like Ginseng Root Extract, Milk, and Cocos Nucifera Oil (cocoa butter?), and it does do a good job (on my dry hair at least) of leaving it clean, reasonably conditioned (when used with the conditioner), and not too frizzy. I find the scent a bit strong for my liking like fruity gum (juicy fruit?), but the scent doesn’t linger and is gone by the time your hair is dry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent value for money [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a couple of sachets of Palmolive Active Nourishment Shampoo/Conditioner with my Beautorium haul. This is with Aloe Vera & Fruit Vitamins and it is for Normal Hair. I have dry hair and I thought this would be a winner. Sadly for me this didn't do it The shampoo didn't lather enough for me, (I have short hair) the conditioner I found much better. It did leave my hair feeling clean, but dry on the ends. I did like the lingering fragrance of freshness. I am a lover of Palmolive products, whether it's shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap etc. This one I won't purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lovely, fresh scent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this in my 2016 beautirium haul as a sample. I do not usually like Palmolive hair products but was pleasantly surprised by this sample! The scent once my hair dried was subtle and pleasant, though it didn't last that long. The formula is not too runny and is a pearly colour. It lathered quite well and the conditioner was a bit thicker and easily rinsed out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent shampoo that's easily accessible. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a bit of a hair care snob, but having received a sample of this shampoo in my Beautorium order, I was happy to try it. While I won't be running out to purchase the full size product, this is one of a few types of shampoo I would purchase if I was on holiday and just wanted something cheap and easily accessible. As a short-term use shampoo, the price is good and I wouldn't feel too bad about not using up the whole bottle. A few washes here and there with this shampoo isn't going to do anything amazing for my hair, but it's not going to ruin it either.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice low budget product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Parmolive Aloe Vera Shampoo is a good low budget hair care product. The bottle is large but still slim which makes it easy to use in the shower and takes up little space, the cap also is easy to use. The shampoo lathers up really quickly and is easy to work through my hair. The smell is gorgeous and so fresh. The shampoo made my hair feel clean and light

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment shampoo is an okay shampoo. It did a decent job of cleaning my hair, my hair felt clean after washing it. I used about the same amount of shampoo that I regularly use to wash my hair. The shampoo and the accompanying conditioner have a strong fake smell, which is weird since they say natural on the bottles. The smell stayed on my hair for quite a while after using them. The Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment shampoo is good value for money and the bottle has a nice design on it (green is my favourite colour). I am very happy I got to try the Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment shampoo and conditioner, but I am going to continue to use my regular ones. I am going to use the Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment shampoo to wash my makeup brushes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Value for money [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks for BH Trial Team I get to try this shampoo. I'm never really a fan of Palmolive hair products but I find this shampoo surprises me a little bit for what it is. It's definitely value for money but I find it's not nourishing enough for my hair type. It smells nice though, I love the fruity smell of this shampoo leaving my hair smells nice and fresh after each wash. The 350ml size bottle is perfect for those who don't like the bulky big bottles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good value for money [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised with this shampoo, I would not have normally picked it. The bottle is huge and cheap so it's great value for money. The packaging is pretty and easy to use. I like how the shampoo and conditioner are in very different packaging, making it easy to distinguish. The smell is fruity and nice, and I like how it's not overpowering and doesn't linger. The shampoo lathered well, spread out well and rinsed out easily. It thoroughly cleaned my hair without stripping my scalp. I tend to get some dandruff but this didn't cause any more or irritate my scalp. Overall this was a nice shampoo, but I would prefer a little more hydration.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Side Effect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a slight obsession with taking care of my hair and when beautyheaven gave me a chance to improve my hair with Palmolive's Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo and ConditionerI couldn't resist! I love the colour green and thus why I am a big fan of the packaging colour. The size of the bottle was big and definitely value for money. The actual packaging was like any usual packaging where you have to squeeze the bottle. I would much prefer if it was a pump bottle. When I am chosing my hair product, I find myself guilty of always smelling the product and the Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner did not disappoint! After showering, I find myself constantly smelling my hair. The scent is light but smells refreshed and clean! On the down side, I find that after I have used the product that I immediately got dandruff. I thought that I would give it another go just in case it's only the first couple of times but the dandruff was still present. However, as soon as I came back to my old shampoo and conditioner, the dandruff disappeared. I thought I have found another product that can outdone my old shampoo and conditioner but the dandruff is a deal breaker. I really wanted to continue using. However, I recommend this product if you find that you don't have any side effects from it like I do. Brand Response: Hi Veronica974, it’s Palmolive here. We saw your review for our Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner variants and wanted to thank you for your feedback. Whilst we’re sorry these products weren’t suited to the needs of your hair, we appreciate your compliments for our product packaging and fragrance. We’re also pleased to let you know that our Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment variants are available in a handy 700ml pump bottle for easy dispensing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent every day hair product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this shampoo for the past couple of weeks and I have to say that it's quite average in my opinion. I've recently cut my hair so my hair isn't as long and tangled anymore. The product is contained in a regular plastic squeeze bottle and is a little more liqudy than I expected. The product lathers wonderfully and I love the soft apple scent of the product. The shampoo doesn't leave any residue in my hair but I do feel that it isn't as nourishing as I thought it would be. I love that it doesn't dry out my hair or weigh it down as some shampoos may. It also doesn't lighten (or poof) out my hair too much either. I think that this is a very average shampoo. Most people would find that it is quite pleasant to use but it doesn't promise miracles. It's an excellent everyday product that's suitable for the whole family to use!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great family brand , gentle . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo really surprised me for a supermarket brand shampoo . My hair is colour treated and heat styled often ,its dry and fine bodied so i like to pamper my hair when giving it a wash , and i found that the nourishing formula of the shampoo was doing just that. My hair didn't feel stripped after the shampoo , regardless of the foam it created when washing . I felt it removed any style product that might have been in my hair prior to washing . The trade mark shape and feel of the soft bottle is rather big for my shower rail even thought its only 350 ml , but easy to dispense and quick to open . I did like the smell of the shampoo and found that it did linger a while when used with the products range of conditioner. A clean subtle scent .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from BH Trial Team [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you BH and Palmolive for reintroducing me to the brand! My grandma was a big Palmolive fan but my hair hates its shampoos as it always give me dandruff so I haven't used it for almost 15 years now. It comes in a sturdy green flip top bottle which I like better than the slippery conditioner bottle. The product itself has a white and almost runny consistency. The smell is fresh and really nice, lingers all day as well! I have long hair but very fine and thin so I wash my hair every other day only. I only shampoo the top half of my hair and on the scalp area only. The first few uses were fine but after a week, I noticed that my hair feels really coarse after wash which was one of the reasons why I stopped using Palmolive years ago. It does leave my hair feeling light and no build up. Happy to report that my scalp feels so clean as well and NO dandruff! I was ready to dislike the product from the start but I was pleasantly surprised. Giving it minus 2 stars for coarse hair and some nasty chemicals on it. Overall, it's not the best but not that bad either. Much better than what I expected! Brand Response: Hi ya_mia, it’s Palmolive here. We saw your review for our Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner and wanted to thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to trial our new variants. Whilst we’re sorry you haven’t previously been a fan of our hair care range, it’s great to hear that you were satisfied with our current products and found the results of your trial to be pleasantly surprising.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does the job [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo comes in your usual Palmolive shampoo bottle. Big, plastic, hardy and easy to use. This reminds me of my childhood as these bottles were often on the family bathroom! The shampoo itself smells pleasant and despite the bottle saying the smell lingers in your hair- it's not anything that i notice. The shampoo promises to provide nourishment to hair. My hair is my natural colour and i suppose fits into the 'normal' category in that it is not coloured or treated, not oily, not dry. I felt this shampoo did the job in cleansing my hair and getting rid of all product build up quite effectively as it lathers quite a bit. There were no stands outs for me in this shampoo and i think would be suitable for the whole family as it does the job and is affordable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Trial Review [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to Beauty Heaven and Palmolive for giving me the opportunity to trial Palmolive Active Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner. For reference I have fine, oily hair that is coloured. The shampoo comes in a green slimline flip top container in which the shampoo disperses easily. The conditioner comes in a squeezable flip top tube. The shampoo and conditioner have a fruity/apple scent which my daughter commented on that she thought it was too strong. It lathered brilliantly and felt lightweight in my hair. It rinsed quickly and left a fruity fragrance in my hair throughout the day. My hair felt squeaky clean and well nourished after use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great everyday product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried both the shampoo and conditioner together. It is a product I know, but haven't used recently. The shampoo had a nice refreshing smell (which my partner commented on after use!). It was soft and felt like it gave a great clean. I used the products together twice within the trial time with positive results both times. My hair was generally soft, however a little fluffy and static after the second use. After styling this wasn't noticeable. I wouldn't trade in my regular just yet, but it is something I will keep in mind.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Clean but frizzy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product came in a cheap looking plastic tube and was a light milky colour. One great thing about the product is the nice, light, pleasant smell. However, I felt like I needed to use more product than other shampoo in other to thoroughly lather up my entire head. My hair felt clean after shampooing, but my hair seemed to be quite frizzy when dried which is not something I feel with my current shampoo. Unfortunately, it did its job, but did not make my hair feel very nourished at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cleans the hair well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this product for the trial team and have never really gone with this brand for shampoo. It came it a nice large bottle which was easy to use. The smell was very pleasant and it held after i dried my hair. The shampoo is nice and thick which i liked. It lathers really well which i think is really important, i don't feel lie i need to use that much of the product. I also felt it gave a nice a thorough clean to the hair. Overall it does the basics of a shampoo quite well, if you needed it just for a good clean then i would go with this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reasonable Results from a Supermarket Shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner as part of the Trial Team. I have rather fine hair which is fairly normal but can tend to be oily at the scalp and dry at the ends. After using this shampoo for the last few washes I have found that it is an ok supermarket shampoo but I don't feel that it was amazing. I appreciated that the shampoo and conditioner bottles are different shapes so that it is quick to identity which product is which. I found that I am not a fan of the scent of this shampoo. It smells cheap, almost like a household cleaning product but it didn't seem to hang around in my hair throughout the day which was a relief. I found that the shampoo lathered up a lot. It was really foamy, perhaps too foamy. I think that it is one of those 'natural' products where the 'natural' part is just a small amount of plant derived product as an afterthought. I wouldn't buy it for its 'natural' name. In the end though, when used with the Active Nourishment conditioner I have found that my hair is clean, not weighed down and not too dried out. My hair feels soft and with some body but not amazing. If anything it might be a little drying over time for me. I will finish using the bottles of the product but I'm not sure that I would buy it again. It is ok for the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not for me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't usually use the brand Palmolive for my haircare routine but I was quite excited to trial the Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner because of it's nourishing formula infused of aloe vera extract and the fruit vitamin which are very good for the hair. The texture of the shampoo isn't thick or thin and it has a fresh fruity smell that I love. Just a small amount of it is enough to massage the scalp and the hair deeply and I find that the shampoo lightens and clean my hair very well but I wasn't blown away with the results. It does hydrates my hair a little bit but not enough for making it my number one shampoo. The size of the bottle as well as the price is decent and I definitely recommend this product to those looking for inexpensive shampoo that still clean the hair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from High Hopes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trial arrived at the perfect time as the weather has been warming up, my hair has become much dryer thanks to the beach and I needed some TLC asap! Besides the eye catching packaging, I loved that the shampoo and conditioner both lathered well and I couldn't detect any scent. The texture felt lovely and was super easy to wash out and initially, my hair was left feeling clean, shiny and super soft. HOWEVER, the next day it reverted back to it's coarse self - noticeably dryer too which was disappointing. I wished it left my hair feeling silky smooth for a longer period!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for everyone [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you beauty heaven for allowing me to trial the Palmolive naturals active nourishment shampoo and conditioner. Both products have a beautiful fragrance and when your hair is washed leaves it smelling lovely and fresh. The packages are a 350ml squeezable bottle in a bright colour green which makes it easy to locate on the supermarket shelves and is reasonably prices at $4.99 each. Using both products in conjunction with each other is the best way to get the most out of this product. The colour of the shampoo is a white runny consistency and the conditioner is similar in colour but thicker in consistency. The fragrance is very refreshing with the aloe Vera and fruit vitamins. I colour my hair and found that whilst it left my hair smelling nicely, it seemed dryer when I was styling it so I would say that it is not best suited for me. On the other hand my husband trialled both products and he loved it. His hair is a lot courser than mine and he washes his hair every day and it was perfect. I would recommend these products for those who are looking for good products at an affordable price, however not for, theses found a lot of styling and colouring.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Simple economical shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks BH for the trial team opportunity! I generally use Head and Shoulders shampoo with a natural conditioner to offset the dryness, though Palmolive has become a bit of a household name for Australian families I believe. I have used Palmolive products before and found that they can leave my hair dry and not so moisturised. This shampoo performed the way I expected it to, the smell was also of the generic Palmolive variety. I think as an everyday shampoo it does the job fine but I'll probably stick to my regulars and I was not overly impressed with it. It isn't as moisturising as you'd expect when it's in the name of the product. The smell lingers in your hair after it's dry, which can be a plus if you enjoy the scent.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fruity everyday shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lathers relatively well, nice fruity smell. This shampoo is really good value for money and left my hair feeling soft and manageable. Despite being part of the 'naturals' range, it still has lots of added chemicals (SLS etc.), which is fine but probably not something I'd purchase if after a 'natural' kind of shampoo. But overall a nice shampoo that does what it says it will do.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Heading in the right direction [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Palmolive naturals active is a step in the right direction for the brand. Aiming for an all natural product is great but on closer inspection, it had over 20 ingredients, most unrecognisable. It had a great subtle fragrance, good lather, but overall did not compare to a lot of salon quality products. It is however slightly better than the mainstream brands such as Pantene and Tresemme. There wasn't much of a difference after using the product for a few days, but admittedly my hair is slightly less oily than before. Overall this is a good affordable option.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from On the fence [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this shampoo recently in conjunction with the conditioner of the same range and didn’t really enjoy it at first. I felt that it was inferior and left my hair feeling really gunky however I put it aside for a few weeks and used it again recently and it left my hair feeling really soft, even a little fluffy so I am on the fence about this range now. I would recommend to anyone who is after a good cheap shampoo that will leave your hair feeling really soft.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo wasn't bad but it also wasn't good. It built up an alright lather on the second cleanse and seemed to decently clean my scalp. I didn't personally find it too greasy for my hair like some of the other members but it wasn't particularly nourishing. The scent is pleasant enough but it is a mixture of natural and synthetic...nothing special. It works but I wouldn't repurchase.
