I really love the packaging, but it wasn't too practical... I dropped this and the lid shattered, so I had to pick out the bits from the shampoo as they came out... Not fun... I did like the idea that (providing you don't breakt the lid) you could store this upside down and get out the last drop from the bottle... I liked the smell of this and the consistancy of the shampoo... A little of this did go a long way... So great if you are looking to save money, but still have a quality product... I didn't however like that it left my hair feeling weighed down and greasy... It made my hair feel gunky and oily... All-in-all not a bad shampoo, but just not for me...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Average - Beautorium Sample 2016 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of this Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo & Conditioner in my last Beautorium purchase from BH. I was definitely was not impressed by this sample of shampoo & conditioner. I can't say I use a lot of Palmolive products, but the ones I have used in the past usually have a really appealing aroma. This however, did not have an appealing aroma, in fact, I couldn't smell anything, neither good nor bad. I know that this is a direct contradiction to everyone else... Nevertheless, I do agree with everyone who said that their hair felt drier after they used it. I noticed that I had to use more almond oil than I usually do after I used the shampoo & conditioner. The results were very unimpressive, I definitely won't be buying it again.

This shampoo wasn't for me. It was very heavily scented which I didn't like and contained too many chemicals for me personally. I prefer to use products which use more natural based ingredients. My hair felt quite dry after using this shampoo. I have coloured blonde hair so not sure if the range for coloured hair would better suit my hair. Not a product I would purchase.

I found the scent strong, however it was not unpleasant to me, just fruity, some people may not like this though. I found there was decent lather for my hair length which is shoulder length, and I am assuming there was about a 20c piece size per sachet. Hair felt clean after lathering and rinsing twice. Benefits would be being able to purchase this with the weekly shop, possibly great for families with out particular hair concerns. I used this in conjunction with the matching conditioner- conditioner review separate.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't wow me - April Beautorium Sample [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you Beautyheaven for including a sample of the Palmolive shampoo in my April Beautorium order. I've never used Palmolive hair products before, I don't know why but I've always associated Palmolive with dish washing detergent and hand washes, so I was a bit curious on how they would perform. My hair is long, fine and lacks volume, but in reasonable shape. I don't colour my hair and it's not too bad in terms of heat damage. The Palmolive shampoo had a pleasant fragrance, but I found the first round of shampooing, it didn't really lather up and I had to wash my hair twice to get that nice build up of lather and bubbles. So I didn't feel my hair got a good clean on the first wash. It's a bit hard to comment on any long term benefits after two uses but it works ok as a shampoo but it didn't really blow my socks off. It was nicely fragranced and I had no issues with an itchy scalp after using it. It's probably not something I would buy again but I'm happy I was able to try it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really want to like this, because I'm a fan of the Palmolive brand in general, but after using it for 2 weeks I have had to come to terms with the fact that this shampoo just does NOT work for me. It could be my naturally oily hair type, but this shampoo seemed to worsen the problem, leaving my hair greasy and lank. I could forgive this feeling if my hair felt nourished (like after using a Moroccan oil mask: greasy, but oh-so-lovely) but my hair actually felt dry as well. Dry, greasy hair is not a good look. The conditioner works alright, but is a very average products. I have come to the conclusion that my salon-dyed blonde hair is probably in need of REAL nourishment in the form of organic products (think Lush or Sukin.) While it may work on another woman's hair, something about the chemical composition or the consistency of the shampoo is not making babies with my hair! As a positive, the amount of product is good value for the price. For the sake of not being wasteful I feel obliged to use the rest of the shampoo and conditioner before trial-testing another. If only, they actually worked for me!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from An average shampoo for hair with no concerns [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have relatively 'normal' hair, it can be a little dry at the ends with some flyaways, but I usually just use a regular shampoo with no issue. To be honest this was a very ordinary product. It does clean the hair well and doesn't feel like it's stripping the hair, but beyond that there's really nothing more to it. It doesn't add volume, doesn't leave hair silky smooth, doesn't decrease flyaways. It simply washes the hair. Unfortunately I expected more, I like my hair to be soft and smooth after I've washed it and unfortunately it was more dry and unruly. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice scent but poor results [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shampoo is packaged in a generously-sized apple green plastic bottle. The flip top lid makes for easy application of the white creamy product. I found the fruity scent quite appealing, and stronger than that of the matching conditioner. Unlike others though, the scent didn't last in my hair beyond the shower. The shampoo lathers well on first application (probably due to the SLSs that feature in its ingredients) so there is no need for a double wash. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the results, and because of this I rate it as less than average. I have healthy untreated fine long hair and I found that my hair was left looking lank and on the greasy side (my hair rarely looks greasy). It didn't look clean and fresh. Looking at the many 5 star reviews for this product, maybe my type of hair just didn't suit, or perhaps I've become used to the superior results of salon brands. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great product for the family (just not for the more "needy" of us) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok,so i received the Palmolive Shampoo & Conditioner as a part of Beauty Heaven Trial Team,and I was keen to give this variant a go,as i (like many of us beauties i am sure),am familiar with both the brand AND it's shampoo / conditioner products.This newer product was something i thought could potentially sway my opinion about supermarket haircare (more specifically,the cheaper end of town products),but i was a little reassured that my opinion was justified. Let me start by admitting this...i am colour treated,with fairly dry,fragile / thin hair that tends to frizz at the slightest hint of,well,ANYTHING,so,i have a pretty big ask of my shampoo & conditioner.I have used Palmolive previously,and for those times when the only needs my hair has is to be clean,smell great and remain easy to brush,this is just the ticket,BUT,when i have doled out a couple of hundred to get the colour i have,i want a lot more from my products.....and this just wasn't what i was after.I noticed my colour becoming faded after a week,frizz was at a level that needed taming (badly) and my hair just screamed for a little more nourishment. Palmolive's Naturals was good at leaving my hair soft and shiny,easy to manage (both wet AND dry) for a few days after having used (i wash my hair daily,as my work is one that makes me feel dirty if i don't do that),but on my days off,i leave it,so i can judge the longer term results in regard to lasting softness and manageability,but i would only get this product for my family and myself if i was not concerned with retaining an expensive colour treatment. The pricepoint ? AWESOME if you are shopping for the family.....it is easy to pick up from any supermarket when getting the groceries and won't cost much more than a fiver each.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from just ok [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having used another Palmolive that has been discontinued I decided to buy this shampoo to try, however would say the smell was overpowering and the shampoo seemed to lather up well however my hair did not feel as clean as with the other Palmolive shampoo and it took a lot more washing to rinse out. Also my hair felt like it needed washing a lot more then before The price is good value however the containers are getting smaller. When I was asked to trial the shampoo and conditioner I was excited!! I love new products. I couldn't wait to have a shower and try them. I wet my hair and grabbed the shampoo. Its in a slimline plastic bottle that doesn't take up a lot of room in the shower and has a flip top lid which opens easily. I poured an amount into my hand (enough to cover a 20 cent piece) and tried to lather my hair. I then had to add the same amount again to get a lather going, so twice as much as I usually use. The perfume is supposed to be aloe and fruit vitamins, but I really did not find it appealing. It did manage to clean my hair Ok, but I had to use a lot of product. Palmolive does smell great and would be a shampoo I use occasionally but I just wasn't blown away by the packaging, quality or amount of time it kept my hair clean and silky. The aloe Vera and other natural formula is great but again I prefer salon brands :)

The product is opal white in colour and slightly creamy in consistency. I used this product in conjunction with the Active Nourishment conditioner. What I loved about this product is the scent and it lathers really well, giving hair an ultra clean feel, its fruity scent continues to linger in the hair even after hair is dried, the scent is not at all overpowering, scent lasted a number of days in fact, even after my long runs. As much as I wanted the product to work on my hair, it didn't. My hair is very dry due to bleach and colour and all it did was weigh my hair down and it lacked shine, so I would say not a good product to use on coloured hair, mine anyway. However on both my daughters hair, it was brilliant. It did not weigh the hair down, gave it incredible shine, detangles and hair is so soft and smells amazing. I found that it didn't lather when applied to my hair and it was so hard to wash out, when my hair finally dried it make my hair look oily and it was horrible to touch. I had to re-wash it straight away!! It did however smell really nice and the packaging was eye catching and nice :) disappointing and didn't work with my hair unfortunately

I would not use this again on my own hair , but my boyfriend has no issues using it on his head so at least this will get used and not wasted.

It took my 6 days and a ton of conditioner to get my hair back to the way it was before. Would rather wash my hair with just water than use this.
