But the fit is not quite what I expected. It's tight on the thighs, making it uncomfortable. And although it does absorb well, it doesn't absorb a lot, and wearing urine pads is more convenient when you have to change these so often.

In order not to waste the product I wore normal underpants over them. I had to be very gentle & slow putting them on & it was difficult when the weather was humid. I found they were ok everyday with small leakages but if I had larger leakage I found it leaked on the sides of the pant, leaking onto my clothes. I think they maybe ok for smaller woman but I think the product needs to more stronger for larger ladies. Not being inexpensive it becomes an issue to continually rip the pant. I also think a higher waist would be better for larger ladies.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn’t suit grandmother [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I accepted a trial of Depend Ladies underwear XL for my grandmother, although she is the specified size on the packet she has a stomach and found these too tight and uncomfortable to wear since she likes her underwear to sit higher on her waist. From inspection though these pants look like they would stretch to fit most, and would be easy to remove my tearing the side to save elderly bending over. They also seemed to have good coverage. It was a shame these didn’t work for her, but I’m sure they would be great for others.

However, I find the pad rather thin and hence the absorbency could be improved. The panty fabric could also be softer. I still prefer to use a regular pad over this underwear but I would buy it again for travel purposes.

I am not sure if the design of these pads have been changed or modified as she has actually been wearing these for a couple of years now! She has also lost weight recently yet they seem tighter now. She wears the XL but unfortunately we don't have the option to go up a size. We are also in a predicament as she refuses to wear the standard white pads but now we are going to have to try and make her wear them as we are going to have to stop buying these. I am really hoping either a bigger size is released or something is modified to stop them cutting into the hip area.

The pad bunched up and wasn't particularly comfortable. I could have gone for the medium or large, based on the weight ranges, so perhaps I should've had the medium instead of the large. I question the need for disposable underwear as it seems quite wasteful compared to a pad; the impact on landfill is significantly more than that of a pad. No information on disposal so I can only guess that the entire product goes to landfill.

Also size XL is only an equivalent size of a 16-18 if your lucky, people larger they won’t fit.

Next time I was more careful when putting them on. For me I felt the underwear was a bit to bulky where the pad sits. I usually only use a slim panty liner which I find more comfortable. Overall though the underwear did fit okay and did the job of keeping me dry, however I do not think this product is for me.
