I used to use Listerine daily, which is my preferred brand, but I use it now only a few times a week if I feel I am in need of a freshen up. A bottle of Plax was in a sample kit given to me by my dentist. The taste is minty and slightly underwhelming. I enjoy the 'sting' of mouth washes, which this one does not have, so for me this one doesn't give me that clean feeling - though I think in terms of oral hygiene, being in pain from a mouthwash is not a sign it is working properly! I didn't feel as though my mouth was healthier than other brands after using this. I think it is a good choice in a pinch if there is nothing else, but I wouldnt buy this after trying the sample.

It is very mild, so it suitable for everyone. It is fresh and minty, and leaves a pleasant sensation in your mouth. Just a small amount is needed, and you can use it twice a day to day to keep your whole mouth and teeth healthy. It helps keeps your breathe fresh, reduces tartar and leaves your teeth feeling cleaner and fresher. A good value mouthwash which is often on special so it is great to pick some up and keep your breathe fresher for longer.

It has a very light refreshing taste and is good for when you don't want that overpowering minty taste. Great for use morning and night and will leave your mouth feeling fresh all day and all night long. A well priced product.

I had tried something similar in Thailand as they are big on green tea stuff over there, however didn't really enjoy this variety. I didn't feel it cleaned my mouth anywhere near as much as the tried and true minty flavours. This variety is alcohol free so this may have had something to do with the lack of 'clean' feel. The flavour was a little too sugary for my likings, especially for a mouthwash. I probably wouldn't buy it again, however it was interesting to try. Listerine is much stronger and seems to do the job much better than this. Plax just seems weak and watery in comparison. But this is probably good for those who can't stand the strong flavour of Listerine.

I did find whilst using it that it had an unusual effect in my mouth, it tastes quite sweet and feels like a film of sugar coated the inside of my mouth. So I tend to rinse afterwards. But it does work and is good value, so I certainly wouldnt knock that back.

Leaves this weirdest taste in my mouth, but your breathe doesn't stay fresh for so long. it also erodes my gums in a really gross way. True, it is cheaper and it doesn't burn like Listerine.....but I'll take the Listerine burning any day instead of the crappy taste Colgate Plax leaves in my mouth
