The product comes in a generous sized bottle that should last me a while. The shampoo itself has a creamy texture that creates a rich lather to provide a deep clean. I was pleased that it doesn’t dry out my hair and actually left it feeling surprisingly soft and smooth. This shampoo has a great vanilla coconut scent that’s not too strong. After I rinse my hair I follow with the Heads & Shoulders Dry Scalp Care Conditioner, which leaves my hair extra soft and bouncy. Since using these products I have noticed I have less visible flakes and dry, irritated scalp. This shampoo is also affordable and great value. It works well after a few washes to noticeably minimise dryness and flakiness.

Head and Shoulders seems to be the only brand that seems to last longer and keeps my scalp from getting itchy. The shampoo lathers nicely with only a small amount. I use about a 50cent size piece on my shoulder length hair. I concentrate the lathering mostly in the itchy part of my scalp along the neckline. The smell is also pleasant and I feel like its hydrating and relieving the irritated skin. I gently lather and massage through my hair and it feels soothing and makes the process enjoyable. My hair smells fresh and feels clean afterwards and my scalp seems fine until the next hair wash. Recommended for anyone that suffers itchy and dry scalp.

However I thought I'd give this one a go as I'm a sucker for coconut. After 2 washes I found my dandruff was almost completely gone! The shampoo is creamy but when you use it the product doesn't feel greasy or heavy. It lathers up really well so I would recommend only using a small amount depending on the length of your hair. It does not leave any residue behind, my hair doesn't feel heavy nor does it look or feel greasy. However I have been warned by my hairdresser to stop using Head & Shoulders once I notice the dandruff has cleared up, she has advised it will slowly start to strip your scalp if you use it too frequently. Besides that its great for a drandruff flair-up!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fresh and Clean [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that beauty trends are all navigating towards removing sulphates parabens etc, my hair really responds well to a cleaner formula and I'm even happier that it's now the case for Head and Shoulders. My hair didn't feel stripped or brittle after using their new shampoo and I'll happily continue using it. The coconut oil I really enjoyed, my itchy scalp has felt relieved since starting to use this shampoo but my hair has also felt really hydrated. The scent is not too overpowering which is what I lean towards, heavily fragranced products just aren't for me and that's why I love the scent of this shampoo, plus it lingers in my hair making me smell nice and fresh. The squeeze bottle is a winner in my books, pumps are so awkward in the shower so I am always pleased when I use Head and Shoulders packaging. Overall I'm really happy to add this shampoo and conditioner duo to my regime and I'll continue using it.

The formula has a nice, subtle light floral scent which I enjoyed. My hair felt soft after rinsing and it left my hair feeling clean. Over these weeks, I've noticed that my scalp is not as dry and itchy as it usually is after using other brands of shampoos. A noticeable and effective reduction in any dandruff too! (the dryness and itchiness caused some scratching of the scalp which lead to dry flakes) Not five stars fort me though las the shampoo has left my long, waxy hair rather fluffy! I think though this could have been more of a result of using the matching conditioner which for me, is not moisturising enough for my thick hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No more dandruff after one wash but hair is oily [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I frequently suffer itchy scalp and dandruff flare-ups so I was pretty keen to try this product as a lot of past products I have used, including from Head & Shoulders, have left my scalp and hair clean but dry. First, this works. I had no residual dandruff after one wash and I used about the size of a 10c coin which was sufficient each time. My scalp always felt clean and balanced after. However, the only downside is the day after washing, my hair begins to become oily end at least by day 3, I have to wash my hair again. I think the coconut oil creates a bit of build-up which might be contributing to the increase in oil.

Head & Shoulders has long since been the "go to" for those times when itchy,dry scalp issues pop up,but to be honest,sometimes the solution was worse than the problem with the formula....enter the "Dry Scalp Care" Shampoo to help with that. This rich thick formula contains coconut oil to care for the hair and scalp (whilst leaving a delicate,calming scent to the hair),whilst also being free of nasty parabens, phosphates and paraffins​ to weigh down and dry out hair and scalp further. Hubby and i both used this a few times a week,for several weeks,and we both saw an improvement in our scalps (especially hubby,who can have some serious scalp problems when stressed or in winter),but without the dried out hair (my hair is "helped along by science" pale blonde and very dry) and i found that my long hair was still easy to brush when still wet afterwards.Only a small amount (around the size of a 50c piece for hubby,a little more for mine) is needed,so the huge 400ml bottle will last us months (making this a very affordable product to test if you want to see if this is right for you),and it foams up nicely. All in all,if a dry,flaky,irritated scalp is an issue for you (or anyone in the family),and you want to try something that works AND cares for your hair,this may be exactly what you are looking for.

I've been using this for sometime and I'm really happy that it works well on my dry flaky scalp. Since using this duo my scalp flakiness has reduced I think mainly because this doesn't dry out my scalp like other shampoos. I'm really happy with the results and I recommend this product to anyone with a dry itchy scalp. Good this it its very affordable and you can buy it from your local supermarket.

It is a product that truly reduces dandruff and keeps the scalp clear. A small amount went a long way and the product lathered up quite well. The shampoo was light, a great texture and smelled very good. My hair was smooth, had a good shine and a great texture post washing. It didn't feel heavy or greasy. The head and shoulders dry scalp care shampoo does not contain any phosphates, parabens or paraffins which is great as the less chemicals in my haircare products the better. It doesn't strip my hair or scalp of any oils and yet my hair feels so clean afterwards. My hair and scalp feels healthier and smoother overall and I would recommend this.

My hair is feeling fresh while my scalp has been itch-free without dry patches that I often suffer from. The fragrance is soft and subtle without being overpowering. A nice “custard” scent! Some shampoos leave my fine hair dried and crunchy, but Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp Care shampoo cleansed my hair and scalp well and relieved any itching. Over the time I have been using the shampoo and conditioner together I found them a good match to deliver the results stated.

Firstly it smells great being infused with coconut oil, not like the usual medicated stuff you sometime get. The dandruff has improved and my scalp feels so much better, it's no longer as itchy. My hair is also feeling nice and clean and smells good as well. I love the fact that this has no parabens and paraffins making it abit more environmentally friendly. I will be using this product again.

I really struggle with a flaky dry scalp due to all the products and dry shampoo that I use. I have tried numerous shampoos and conditioners but usually after a few days the dry scalp returns. I found that using this Head and Shoulders shampoo along with the conditioner has really worked. My scalp is definitely flake free and feels so clean. The coconut oil provides a lovely scent and I love that this shampoo doesn't contain any parabens, phosphates and paraffins (sometimes it's these ingredients that really affect my scalp and make the flakiness so much worse). I took one star off because my hair felt a bit flat after a few days. I will definitely continue to use this every second wash to give my scalp a thorough clean.

Definitely a go to. My hair felt good and my dandruff disappeared. Great value in the larger bottle when on special at the supermarket and that is quite often.
