Azclear Action Medicated Lotion contains 20% Azelaic Acid and is an oil free, invisible anti-bacterial lotion for the treatment of blackheads, pimples, acne & rosacea.

Azclear Action Medicated Lotion is an acne treatment that contains 20% w/w Azelaic Acid. This dual action formula attacks pimples by fighting bacteria and unblocking the oil ducts, which acts to reduce redness and dry up pimples. Treats mild to moderate acne.

Redness is gone after a few days. I get a slight tingling feeling but that subsides after a few hours. The only other product that works well is Finacia. It has the exact same ingredient but stronger, which I use on stubborn spots. i always have a tube of this at home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential part of my routine This year I had a recurrence of adult acne. It's the worst. My skin was dry/flaky, red, and had a lot of bumps and blemishes. I was reluctant to use proactiv again so I looked around for alternative solutions for adults Once I started using the AzClear system (the Az clear wash followed by this medicated lotion) I could see a difference within one week. The redness reduced very quickly. After 4 weeks my skin looked smooth and had an even tone. I'm 6 weeks in now and my skin tone looks better than it did before the acne appeared The combo of these two products never dries out my skin, and never makes it oily. It's very well balanced. The wash removes everything without over-drying the skin, and this lotion not only repair skin, it moisturises beautifully - not creating excess oil! Previously I would not wear moisturiser during the day because of my skin problems, my face would look like an oil slick. This moisturiser is so subtle to wear I love it. I am so so happy with the results!

It improved my redness and congestion within the first week! I had heaps of clear bumps, whiteheads, blackheads, acne scarring, facial redness (especially cheeks & nose) and I was still getting a new pimple everyday it seemed. Once I started this product, I barely get new breakouts!! And when I do, I apply the Azelaic acid and it’s literally gone overnight/ during the day. It can be used day or night! It’s nowhere near as harsh as BP too, so I was able to stop using that completely.

Using morning and night, I started noticing my redness going down significantly and newer acne spots fading. I haven’t had any purging with this product but I have noticed the product pilling. I now make sure the product is soaked in for 10 minutes before adding any moisturiser and SPF on top.

That said, I also manage my hormonal acne with a combination of restricting certain foods and sometimes oral medication when it gets bad. This product certainly does speed up the recovery process. I do find it runs out very quickly though and considering one tube is quite small. I do not experience any irritation while using this.
