Ingredients

Petrolatum, Lanolin, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Cetyl Esters, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter, Aroma, Camphor, Menthol, Salicylic Acid, Vanillin

Directions

Apply liberally and freely to lips as often as necessary, and re-apply after eating or drinking. Especially useful before and after exposure to sunlight, wind or low temperatures. Recommended before and after lipstick application to help preserve and restore moisture. Always read the label. For external use only. Discontinue use if irritation develops.

It is amazing! my lips are prone to drying and cracking which is extremly painful and carmex is the only thing i found that doesn't make it worse but actually makes it better!! I don't get cold sores, but after forcing my boyfriend to use it, he claims he gets less cold sores!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Carmex When I first reviewed this products I had a lip infection & shouldn't have used this product, I've since tried Carmex again (minus the lip infection) & found it to be great, it was moisturising & created a cooling & soothing sensation when first applied to lips, it is now one of my faves, I would definitely purchase this product again.

I got started on it as a teenager by my grandmother, and I thought she was daft, but I use it everyday, and its brilliant in winter with chapped lips! An Essential for every good handbag!

I use it several times a day and as the perfect base for lip glosses and lipstick. It is so cheap and effective that I have one in my handbag and one on my bedside table at all times. Absolutely amazing product.

So every winter I need to find my carmex from the year before and carry it around with me everyday. I'm always surprised that this lip balm is still in perfect condition, just as I left it from the year before. I like the size of the jar and the bright colours. It is convenient to carry around in your handbag but I do prefer the squeeze tube for easier application over the jar. This is a cult favourite and it is so easy to see why - it works so well!

The lip balm is a little tacky though. The price point makes it a winner in my book, I can find it in Woolies or Priceline for around $6.

When you first apply the balm, there is a slight tingly sensation that eventually goes away. Nice texture, and definitely helps with chapped lips. The only downside is that it comes in a tub, which poses a hygiene/cleanliness issue. Overall, a great product to keep in your purse for those harsh windy days.

It’s quite thick and goes well under lipstick, but it’s not glossy so not the best for over the top of lipstick. The only drawback is the tub it’s in, which makes it difficult to get out and can get dirty easily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! I love carmex lip balm and have been using it for a long time. I find it the most useful in the winter months when my lips tend to be a bit drier and chapped. I keep a jar next to my bed in my bedside drawer and apply it to my lips each night before I sleep. It has a soothing feeling and keeps my lips moisturised throughout the night ensuring that my lipstick looks great the next day. A jar lasts me ages and is reasonably priced. I keep a jar in my car and handbag also. It works great.

I have lived in many places in Australia and this has seen me through hot dry summers and cold cracked winters. To be honest I prefer buying the squeeze tub because I am not sure this is 100 % hygienic as you are always double dipping but it works to put some serious moisture into my tired lips. Only problem is my boyfriend likes it too and always steals it off my lips. ;) I would recommend this product again and again.

I discovered it when I had really had dry and cracked lips, and nothing was working. They were getting more painful by the day. I tried paw paw ointment and it made my lips worse! So I bought this from the chemist, and it was instant repair. After only a day it completely fixed my dry and cracked lips. I didn’t give it 5 stars as I don’t like the sensation when you first apply it. It only lasts a few minutes but it does tingle and feel a bit strange. However, it doesn’t last long, and your lips will Thankyou for it. It’s a yellow waxy texture, not a lot of fragrance or flavour, and goes on clear. As soon as my lips start feeling dry, I use this and I have not had any cracks since!

My mother would always keep one on her because it is such a versatile product. It's super handy to have when travelling, and it's great to have on planes/public transport when the cold air is being pumped through and is drying out your skin.<br />I'm not a massive fan of the pot packaging, if it was my first time using this I would definitely go for the squeezy tube version as it's not as messy.

I started using this too and love it. I have sooo many lip balms but I also love using new products. My partner mentioned this really helped so I've been using it for the last couple months. When first applied it gives the lips a tingling sensation (some may not like this but it makes me feel like it is working!) I love that this product includes salicylic acid to assist in some exfoliation for the lips. I don't use this every day although the packaging makes it very ideal for travelling. If you suffer from dry lips and no other lip balms have worked I would definitely recommend this product!
