Ingredients

Petrolatum, Lanolin, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Cetyl Esters, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter, Aroma, Camphor, Menthol, Salicylic Acid, Vanillin

Directions

Apply liberally and freely to lips as often as necessary, and re-apply after eating or drinking. Especially useful before and after exposure to sunlight, wind or low temperatures. Recommended before and after lipstick application to help preserve and restore moisture. Always read the label. For external use only. Discontinue use if irritation develops.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dry lip remedy! I suffer from really really dry lips, no matter how much water I chug. This lip balm is a god send, soothing my lips in an instant. I don't know what it is about the formulation but it's one of the only lip balms I've found to work. It's soothing, moisturising and has a subtle soothing effect too! But due to the soothing effect it can get a little stingy when applied to raw cuts on the corners of the mouth.<br />The only downfall I've found with this product is the packaging. The tin can get difficult to get into when you've got long nails and can accidentally get product scooped up when trying to apply with your fingers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lip magic I smile when I see this familiar yellow pot. Its a staple in my handbag and in particular when I travel. I love that it can be used my men and women and offers a discreet protective coating. I like the menthol and tingle as somehow it makes me feel cosy and comfortable. Yes it is sticky and probably not very hygienic unless you use a spatula or cotton bud when you apply but the results are worth it. It works and I seem to always have either slight sunburn, cold weather dryness or my lips are just chapped so this offers the relief I need.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this stuff I love Carmex. I only use it when I have really dry/cracked lips but it does the job every time. It has a kind of strange scent but I like it. It could maybe improve on it's packaging and I get sticky fingers after using it but they are the only down sides.

If it isn't in my pocket, it is in my handbag, or sitting next to me on my desk while I work, or my side table when I am asleep. It is truly a Hero product for my lips. I absolutely love the smooth texture of the product along with the tingling feeling after application. It is the only lip balm I have used that actually cures my chapped lips, rather than just mask the problem like some other lip balms do. This product only loses 1 star as I do not like that the product is in a pot as I find this unhygienic and messy at times. I will definitely be buying the product in a tube next time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for Chapped Lips Love this product - it is great for when my lips are super chapped. I use this product regularly and I actually really like the scent that it has. My only complaint would be I should probably get it in the tube instead so I don't have to apply it with my fingertips as then they get kind of sticky. But overall it does everything it says it well - moisturising and nourishing. Price point is perfect for a product that I am liable to misplace.

My son plays football for a club twice a week and he has the same issue. Carmel has definitely solved this for me. It doesn't leave a weird texture or taste either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for cold weather The texture of carmex is really smooth and easily applied. It is incredibly soothing due to the menthol content. I find that it moisturises really well and my lips are very soft and comfortable after use. Great to take travelling, especially if you travel in winter or go skiing. My one complaint would be that the packaging is slightly misleading, if you turn it upside down you can see that there is a big hollowed out gap which from the top view looks like the whole thing would be filled with product - so you're getting a lot less than you think.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lip balm This lip balm is the best. It applies smoothly and evenly and it soothes dry lips. The packaging is ok but it could be more colourful. This can last for a long time and I put some on the night before and when I woke up there was still some lip balm left on my lips. I reccomend this to anyone that gets dry lip easily.

The only thing I have to say is the packaging looks a bit too " Clinical " and needs a bit of colour to stand out on the shelves a bit. Otherwise great product .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product! I have dry, sensitive lips that is prone to irritation with many other brands. Carmex lip balms have always worked and this is no exception! It soothes irritated and dry lips and next day, my lips feel fine without any itch. The only downside (hence giving a 4 star) is that it is in a pot and hence not as hygienic. That said, the pot lasts a very long time so it's good value for money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it I've been using Carmex for nearly a year now and this is my go-to lip balm. It's been a life saver for my lips, especially during winter. It soothes and heals the dry areas and it stops my lips from cracking! It is a bit thick when your put it on but I think that's what protects the skins from more damage. Only problem is that you have to continuously reapplying more on. This is the only lip balm that I use!!

I'm not a fan of the carmex strawberry scent so original is the way to go. This keeps my lips hydrated and prepped for when I wear lippie!

It spreads nicely on the lips and feels lovely on application. The product lasts well and is great value. It stays on longer than a lot of lip balms so that is a big plus factor.

My daughter told me a friend of hers used this all the time for the same condition . After trying it I will definitely keep it in my drawer great product very soothing and moisturising as well. Love it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classic which I am surprised I had not found earlier I started using this after receiving it as a gift a few years ago and I am surprised that I had never used it earlier. This product is perfect to treat sore or chapped lips with its soothing camphor & menthol. These inclusion of these ingredients also are reflected in the smell which I really love. The only thing that I didn't like was this product was in a tub format. The reason is because it is not very hygienic and there is a great probability that it may get contaminated. Upon application you feel a tingling sensation which doesn't last too long but the lip balm stays in place for ages and with use I can confirm that my lips felt softer and nourished. I cannot recommend this product enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best in Beauty 2012 Tingly! A pretty nice lip balm. I like the lasting tingly feeling that it leaves behind. The texture is like vaseline, probably petroleum jelly based, and therefore almost waterproof. Staying power is good and the product is not too sticky. Keeps lips moisturised probably from barrier effect. Would prefer to apply it directly rather than using fingertips though so I have given it 4 stars. I do like it more than chapstick balms as I think the lasting power is better from Carmex products. I actually think that it's really good for guys who don't like any floral or sweet scented lip balms. Hubby likes it and puts it in his travel case.

I use this as well as Blistex as I find them so similar It is creamy, soothing and moisturising. It doesn't sit on top of my lips but rather, it sinks right in and my lips eat it up! It does have a bit of a funny smell though like how vaseline has a smell too The jar isn't the most hygienic as you have to dip your finger into it. I don't like to share it as a result! My mum has stolen my one so I'll definitely repurchase when I need it again.

Great for anyone who's a fan of Burts Bees products or who is wanting to try them. The little pot it comes in is very convenient and can double as a small storage tin when it's empty!

It soothes sore, cracked or damaged lips either from being dry and maybe from the wind. This is also great for the winter months as lips can get quite dry.<br />The smell might put you off though, as it doesn't have the nicest of scents, but its reassuring to know you don't have to lather Vaseline onto your lips just to get some relief.<br />It is a little germy though, the pot it comes in, as you have to put your finger into it numerous times. I dont like the pot. maybe use something to scoop it on if your at home, if your someone else i guess you have to use your finger, hmm i dont know, i like the stick versions better.<br />Overall soothing, does what it claims, good price

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Old faithful Like blistex this balm has a medicated scent but I quite like it. This is a winter staple of mine and is awesome for dry, cracked lips. I spend a lot of winter surf fishing and applied liberally this is an absolute lifesaver, it prevents windburn and when I'm desperate I apply it to my dry, cracked cuticles too.
