Actually I used it over a small dab of my Nyal cold sore cream as well just for extra treatment. Now on the 8th day it is 99% healed without all the pain of a blister. It's so convenient over creams and transparent so it just blends onto my skin. I just apply it and go about my life normally not worrying about constantly applying cream or people looking at my cold sore. Has been one of the best buys for me and would definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and effective product I have been dealing with cold sores since I was about 10 years old (now 45) so I have tried a variety of treatments. These patches have been the most effective of all the treatments. I like the fact that they cover up the sores and provide a barrier between them and my young son who I do not want to catch this virus, even though I am always really careful to maintain distance when I have a cold sore we all know how small children dont necessarily comply with the same rules as we do. I have found that the blisters dry and heal in about half the time as they did when I used an ointment/cream to treat them. They are also not messy and I dont need to carry cream with me and use it multiple times a day so the treatment process is quite simple. I also like that when in doubt whether I have a sore developing or not its easy to just pop a patch on and start treating it early.

I used to get embarrassed going to work and school having a cold sore as everyone would make a comment about it. Being able to put some makeup over the cold sore as changed my life. It is the tiniest bit noticeable with makeup on however you will need to be about a metre away to even see it. It also reduces symptoms and length of the cold sore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best recommended(this is a life saver for me) I have cold sore almost every month and it appears 7 days before my red day, some reason it happens like a pattern, my cold sore is really big and can be really ugly, i have been struggling and use to call sick for almost week because it looks so bad. Then i have been searching and found this patch it works almost like a magic , i can go to work even i have cold sore this patch hides and heal it so quick , only thing i am not sure what best to do coz i use to put patch over night and take it off in the morning or should i just leave it until it peels off it self. Now i am experimenting. But compeed is the best for cold sore also can take vitamin c .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wouldn’t recommend any other treatment I developed a cold sore 5 days ago and I was unable to get compeed cold sore patches until the next day. My cold sore was almost in the blistering stage. It was big and sore. The next day I started using the patches, and today is day 5 and my cold sore is almost gone!! I am so happy with this product. Hardly anyone noticed that I had a patch on my lip, let alone a cold sore! The patches really hide the sore and keep them clean and stop the risk of spreading them. These are magical and they’re so cheap too!!

They keep your cold sore from spreading and in the final stages I've found that my cold sore doesn't get dry or get an unsightly scab which is a huge bonus. Healing time is vastly improved. Swear by them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes you feel less gross when a coldsore strikes Been using these for years. It's probably not much more than a fancy bandaid, it's very invisible at first glance. However as the day wears on and the edges lift a little can start to look obvious there's a circle stuck to your lip. What I like about these the most though is it really reduces that itchy irritated feeling you get from a coldsore. Also of course, keeps it contained, stops it spreading, like you don't need to worry about coldsore germs all over your cups, pillows, touching it in your sleep etc. They are very expensive, which is why I can't rate them 5 stars, the price is pretty ridiculous, however I always have them on hand. It's hard to say, but I feel like if I am about to get one, and put this on before it's a blister, it sometimes doesn't even become a blister.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pricey though works a charm When you peel the product from its band aid wrapper and the paper directly attached to it there'll be a clear looking circular patch. It's actually translucent and after trying it on I discovered it conceals the coldsore by blurring it in with your skin tone similar to how a translucent stained glass window blurs things altogether. Following instructions leaving one side still attached to the paper I apply half onto skin and slide on and downards until its fully attached and the last paper comes off like any other bandaid. I tend to press down lightly for a few seconds. Due to having a moustache I do an extra step: I use a paperclip to pull away hairs under the patch so adhesion isn't compromised then I press down gently for a few seconds again. I have brown skin and seeing the caucasian skin tone on the package made me almost not buy it. However it's translucency is a plus and that quality of making things blurry underneath though matching the general background makes it adaptive to whatever skintone you have. You see your skin tone underneath though details are made blurry hence concealing your cold sore. And so far I've noticed the cold sore heals in a less ugly way. You know the ooze that comes out and crust or scab. I haven't had that to such a bad extent. Only downside is price point otherwise 5 stars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not waste your money Firstly the application doesn't work, the patches stick to the green part and can only be removed with tweezers which is unhygienic. Then if you are lucky enough to get one stuck to the clear plastic, the patch won't transfer without physically grabbing the edge. Once on your lip they are so large it's completely noticeable and they will fold up with any eating. Laughable that anyone would suggest you can wear lipstick over these, there's just no way. I've succumbed to only using these overnight as they do help to protect from getting all over your pillow but that's about it.
