Directions

1. Prepare and mix your colour: Add the contents of the Colourant Cream tube into the Developer Milk Applicator Bottle. 2. Shake well and snap off the tip of the bottle. 3. Apply your colour: Apply mixture to hair lengths and ends, using the tip of the applicator bottle to separate the hair section by section. 4. Massage well. 5. Leave for 25 - 35 minutes if you have resistant grey hair. 6. Rinse and Condition.

The packaging has a great color and interesting, very eye catching green! The applicator is easy to use. Love the conditioner that comes with it. I love how easy it is to apply to my hair. It didn't irritate my hair scalp too. The texture is great, and the result is amazing. My hair color is beautiful, love the look of it. It's exactly what I want. It covers my grey/white hair perfectly. I hope it will stay like that for at least a couple of months. My hair feel thicker & love the smell. It feels moisturised and looks healthy. This product is great for anyone who need to color grey hair only or the whole hair. Garnier always has good products! Thanks BH for sending me this product. Will definitely buy it again.

Thank you to beautyheaven and Garnier for the opportunity to review the Garnier Nutrisse Crème Hair Colour trial I have mousy brown hair, so I ordered the black to spice things up a bit! Things I loved about the Garnier Nutrisse Crème Hair Dye - * Coverage was great *Easy to apply * Smell was rather pleasant for a hair die * Colour was good * Easy to follow instructions * Washes out quite easily Things I didn't love about the Garnier Nutrisse Crème Hair Dye - * The gloves! Those oversized gloves are just a nightmare! * Not enough die to cover my hair, so I just had to do the visible bits and will have to head to the shops to buy some more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cathy from Easy to apply and shiny result I received the shade Crimson Promise for review, which as you can guess from the name contains a lot of red overtones on a brown base. The developer/dye mixed well and easily in the provided bottle and was a nice consistency so that application was easier than some other home hair colours and required minimal cleanup. Development time was as stated on the box. I did find that with medium length hair with a lot of volume one box barely covered it and I probably would have been best off with two. However I don't have greys to cover so it was more about giving my existing colour some lift The smell of the product was still somewhat ammonia but the fruit oils in the product helped make this more tolerable. The same fruit oils leave your hair soft and shiny post application. Overall this product is easy to use and provides a good at home result. As with any hair colour it is hard to get an accurate match to the results shown on the box but with a wide range of shades at an affordable price it's easy to experiment to find your best result.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shelld79 from Easy At-Home Colour I was lucky enough to trial the Nutrisse Hair Colour as part of the trial team and I was excited to use this product again. I've used this hair colour a few times in the past and it's always been a good performer and one that is kind to my hair. The gloves that come with the colour fit easily and aren't too big or floppy like some other brands are. I like the way this hair colour doesn't smell too overpowering as it makes it a lot nicer to apply and leave in your hair without feeling like you're being suffocated by chemicals. It's so easy to apply and you get quite a generous amount of colourant so I found it totally covered my entire head of hair all the way to the ends even though my hair is almost halfway down my back. I applied the shade 5.4 - Caramel onto my dark blonde hair that has some natural red tones and even though it did come out a lot darker than I was expecting, it was still a nice shade that I'm slowly getting more used to every day. I love the conditioner that comes with this hair colour as it leaves my hair feeling so soft and silky after use and overall my hair doesn't feel dry or damaged at all from applying this colour. I'd definitely continue to use this hair colour in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by A_Lil_Kuki from Pleasantly surprised My first impression for this product was definitely the scent, although I didn't like the scent it is far better than any other boxed dye product I've ever used before. Wasn't offensive at all, just not a personal fave scent. The color itself wasn't exactly my cup of tea either but seeing as I chose this online I wasn't completely shocked that it wasn't a perfect match lol. In terms of the products performance though ... it was GREAT! Was super easy and quick to apply, applied evenly (I was so worried I would miss a spot lol). I didn't really notice a difference in the texture or condition of my hair afterwards but the colour vibrancy and the way it applied was great. All in all a great product ... I would certainly try it again but would definitely in person where I. And see the colours in front of me. I'm actually looking forward to this because the current colour I'm rocking isn't doing my skin tone any favours lol.

Rated 4 out of 5 by beautystar from Super shiny hair I have dark brown hair with a fair few greys so I need a product to hide the greys. I gave capacino a go. The first thing you notice when you open the products is the scent. They have a lovely fruity scent. Of course you can still smell the chemicals of the dye but it was an overall pleasant scent. Mixing was super simple - simply pour the dye into the developer and shake shake shake for 30 secs. Easy. Then you apply to the roots, parting your hair as you go. Once it is all through the roots then apply to the lengths and massage through. I have quite short hair and one packet was fine for me. If your hair is any longer than shoulder length I'd go with two packs. Then you just leave it for 35 mins (less if you are just doing the roots). This colour completely covered all my Greys. They are no longer notieable at all. It did turn out a lot darker than I was expecting - it looks almost black with golden hues in the light. It is perhaps a tad dark for my liking but I do love how much shine my hair has and the golden glow is quite beautiful. I have a tendency to go for red based dyes so this was a nice change.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CatMich from Home colour at its best I was very excited to be chosen to trial the Garnier Nutrisse Hair Colour, receiving 'Tamarind' a lovely dark brown from the trial team. The colour was easy to mix and smelled really good compared to other colours I've tried The cream was quite thick which was good as it helped with applying to my hair and not going everywhere making a mess and it was quick to absorb into my haur and begin activating. The time advised was spot on, not requiring additional time to develop. The colour was quick to rinse and didn't leave my hair feeling dry. The after care conditioner was decadent and left my hair feeling nourished. After blowdrying my hair felt healthy and looked very shiny. The colour was a lovely deep brown with hints of red through it, I absolutely love this shade and how easy it was to use the Garnier Nutrisse at home colour. I would definitely recommend it.

As the mum of a just turned 1 year old, u find it extremely hard to get to the salon. Sadly my hair hasn't been done since I was pregnant with her so it needed some serious love and TLC I chose the 3.6 Crimson which is a deep reddish/dark brown. I have dark brown hair. I was a little worried when I first saw the before and after colour swatches on the Bec that it did look redder than I had imagined. Red tends to make me look a little washed out. But this colour is gorgeous and it really gives me complexion a good boost too. Or maybe that's just a placebo effect lol It was very easy to use, quite thick so it didn't run all down your face and neck like some colours I've used in the past. It also didn't have too bad a smell, not at all overpowering in a chemically way like a lot of products. It's been through 2 washes so far and still feels so smooth and shiny. I'm loving it.

Smells fantastic without any overpowering scent. 3. Leaves hair lustrous and silky. Love avocado oil nourishes hair beautifully. It not only has avocado oil but also Shea and olive oil which is total plus for me. 4. The colour consistency is creamy which is easy in application and leaves no chance of dripping all over the clothes. 5. The colourant is thick in texture which is white in colour. Gives hair very natural look. No itching or burning sensation on scalp after or during application as my scalp is on sensitive and flaky side. 6. Another plus point no stain on my skin so coloring becomes easy. 7. The conditioner along with the colour is thick and creamy and nourishing. 8. The packing is in a green box like other standard Garnier hair coloring products. The box has all the essential items of coloring - colourant, developer along with the gloves. Clear and easy to follow instructions. Not sure if it stays for 8 weeks as noted on the box I have long hair and one box was not enough for my shoulder length hair so I basically focused on the roots of my hair for trailing. Not sure if the colour stays for 8 weeks as noted on the box as submitting the review before 8 weeks to check that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lauren455 from Beautiful new hair feeling. Thank you to Garnier and Beautyheaven for this trial I was lucky enough to trial the shade Almond Creme. It was a shade incredibly close to my natural colour I decided to let my hair get some life back into and so had not previously coloured my hair for about 5 years. my hair is basically natural virgin hair again. My hair is incredible curly and a little on the dry/ damaged side. I did the patch test as directed and had no issues so 48 hours later I proceeded to colour my hair. As suggested my hair was clean, dry and unwashed which also meant incredibly frizzy after brushing to make sure it was knot free for application I mixed the products together and shook well, after removing the tip of the applicator bottle I did get a whiff of dye and was pleasantly surprised it wasn't a really strong over powering chemical type smell you normally get. I put on the gloves which were folded in a little packet and of seemingly better quality than the last time i dyed my hair. With the gloves on I apprehensively began the application. Starting at the roots at the top of my head and working around my head the cream was a great consistency. No drips or running. It applied really easily and seemed to absorb into my hair with no problems. I worked my way around the roots and then moved on to the mid lengths and ends of my hair. I decided to put on a shower cap while the colour developed. I had a towel around my shoulders but didn't want to risk dying anything other than my hair It was suggested to wait for 25 minutes unless there were a lot of greys or hair was colour resitant and then 35 minutes. I have grey hairs but not that many and I had no idea if my hair was resistant so I left it on for 30 minutes. I rinsed the colour with water and once it ran clear applied the new generous sized conditioner. I don't normally use conditioner as I feel it sometimes weighs my hair down. I didn't feel that at all and there was plenty of product left for more applications My hair was left smelling a little like hair dye but at least it felt nice and smooth not dry or stripped. I was very happy with the over colour and even with my novice application technique the colour wasn't patchy or uneven. It looked lovely and natural. Only problem I did find was that my silvery grey hairs still managed to shine through and didn't appear to have been covered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bellababy from Beautiful hair colour with no fuss Thank you to Beautyheaven and Garnier for the opportunity to review the Garnier Nutrisse Hair Colour trial I was excited to try this hair dye as I usually use another brand and was curious as to how well it coloured my hair This hair dye came in a vibrant colourful box . Inside the box is a 60ml developer creme, 40ml nourishing crème colour tube with a screw-top, 60ml bottle of colour nourishing conditioner , plastic gloves and a detailed, easy to follow instruction leaflet I chose the colour iced chestnut as I have darker hair and was hoping for a lighter shade. The first thing I noticed when applying this product was the strong ammonia smell something which I no longer had to smell when using my regular hair dye. I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of the ammonia smell. Applying the hair dye was easy and no fuss and it didn’t irritate my eyes or scalp. I left the colour on for 35 mins then rinsed my hair and applied the conditioner. Although my hair did not become lighter as I had hoped it did look richer in colour, more healthy looking and had a beautiful chestnut hue throughout. I would recommend this hair dye to anyone wanting a beautiful new shade.

From the range provided I chose the colour 3.23 - Dark Quartz as it appeared to be a cool dark brown that wouldn't give off any red undertones. One box isn't enough for my length of hair but it's a fair amount, the gloves provided are of average quality, and the aftercare conditioning is a very generous amount. You could easily use it a few times. The directions are straight forward, the process quite easy and the results as expected. It gives good grey coverage and the product itself isn't offensively scented. My hair feels freshly dyed, but not overly dry or processed, and the colour is about what I expected. I'm not a fan of formulas with ammonia but the other ingredients seem to help your hair bounce back. The shade range isn't particularly interesting and leans heavily to the warm side of brunette, so I don't know if I'd go out of my way to use this particular range again. Overall it's a good product which delivers what it says on the box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wendy1965 from Loved the Smell I was so happy to be picked for the Garnier Nutrisse Crème hair colour trial team as my hair was in dire straits of a new colour and grey coverage I was so excited about using the product as I loved that it had 3 oils in it and I loved that it had avocado in it as well. I have red heaps about what avocado can do for your hair and was eager to try it out The instructions were easy to understand and I was pleased to see that they are saying that you will have coverage for 8 weeks I was great to have a hair dye that smelt lovely you could almost eat it. Usually hair dyes are strong and I normally can't stand it My colour was light crystal brown and I must say after I had dried my hair it was pretty close to what my normal colour is. Which made me very happy Also after colouring and conditioning my hair, my hair was lovely and soft So very happy with the grey coverage and the state of my hair after dying it with Garnier Nutrisse Creme

The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the beautiful smell, no other hair colour I have tried before smells as good as this one! It's instructions are easy and clear to follow. I loved the creamy consistent that was easy to spread out evenly on my hair and the best of all it wasn't dripping or runny, it stayed put on my head for the full develop time. My hair is dark brown with quite a lot of greys in it, I tried the dark brown colour and really liked the natural brown it turn out, not so dark or nearly black as other hair colours I've tried. The only thing that I wasn't 100% happy was that it didn't cover my greys fully, otherwise I would give this product five BIG stars!

The gloves aren't very good though especially for me has small hands I really liked the smell. I found it pleasant compared to the one I use in the salon. The cream was nice and thick and it spread pretty well. Probably would've been better if I had two packets as it didn't cover all my hair. I loved the conditioner (boy did it smelly nice). Didn't irritate my hair like some products do There was a subtle red colour in my hair but I do like how it feels after being washed. I didn't get the eight weeks to be able to tell you if the colour holded.

Hopefully that will last I found that after using the Garnier Nutrisse Hair Dye, my hair is soft and smooth and the coverage was good I would be interested to try again and see how long this effect lasts I am very pale and blonde, I think the colour I selected was a great match for my skin tone I noticed a lack of "chemical smell" which was also good At the moment, I feel confident in myself after dyeing my hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aliciaraul from Greys be gone I have greys that are evenly spread in the areas that they appear: temples, side and middle top of head and some at the back I assume (can’t see them myself). So, compared to my mum that was well and truly salt and pepper by the time she was my age I feel blessed. Still I don’t like the greys and feel they are much more visible as a brunette than those of my greying blonde friends. Previously I’d use a semi-permanent that washes out gradually in about 20 washes. Enough to see me through a month or even two. I do have some highlights from about the middle to the bottom of my mane which were done with a permanent colour. Garnier Nutrisse is a permanent colour and I was sent a box of Chocolate (5). One box wasn’t enough for my long hair so I only did the roots in the hope that it was a similar colour to the rest of my brown locks and would as a bonus keep the lighter highlights. The instructions are really clear and I used then in the bathroom to rest the equipment on. I hate the gloves that come with these packs. They are not snug fitting and I find things are slippery in my hands. So I always throw them away and use my some from latex disposables I have a box of. The mixture was very easy to prepare and mix the two components. As promised, the product was thick and non-drip. I believe this to be a blessing and a curse. Great not to have any drips, I mean none. The downside is that it’s really thick and sort of hard to distribute evenly. I followed the instructions for touching up roots. The product smelled pleasant and even looked like very well mashed avocado colour that was greeny brown. May be it is the avocado it claims to have. I like to bend my head over and do the roots at the back of my head as I like to have my hair up sometimes and no greys please. When I flipped my head over carefully I was a little overwhelmed with the odour. Not as pleasant as first and my eyes watered a bit. When I stood up normally and massaged the roots to get the colour all through the smell didn’t affect me. You really do need 2 boxes if your hair is longer than shoulder length. After I tied my dry hair into a bun the odour was fine and I could walk around and do other thigs in the house while I waited for the colour to develop. I left the mixture on for the required time and noted that the colour went darker after a while. Luckily the instructions warmed about this being normal. Really only the colouring uninitiated would have been alarmed or worried. I jumped in the shower and washed it out. A tip, wet your head a bit and massage the scalp first in the shower. This loosens the mixture and it seems easier to wash out. My shower hasn’t got great water pressure so I took my time to make sure all the product was washed out. Once dry my hair revealed all greys were covered and thanks to my careful job with one box not being enough for my tresses the rest of my hair was untouched and the highlights still looked great. The colour appears to be no different to the natural brown roots which I loved. The other thing I really loved was the fact that that night my hair didn’t have a product smell. Sometimes this keeps me and if really bad, my partner, awake. We have sensitive schnozes. I was quite impressed with Garnier Nutrisse and hope to continue to be impressed by the colour not fading or changing. So far so good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sharnsb from Great in house colour option I was luck enough to trial this product through the beauty heaven trial Team I have been using the option of colour at home that now i have two kids and no time to venture to a salon for the lengthy process of colouring my hair The packaging was simple and i was a little wary as that i do not have thick hair but a lot of hair. If was to use this product i would probably use two boxes. I just found the mixture did not cover my whole hair When putting this product on my head, i did not have any discomfort or any tingly feeling, which made for a pleasant experience. The biggest plus - leave no stains on your skin! Winning!!! I was really happy that this mixture did not dry out my hair and i found the coverage very extensive. I was so happy that after 10 days the colour was still fresh and vibrant

Rated 4 out of 5 by lina23 from Very good at covering grey I chose the colour 6 Acorn to trial for BH, which is supposed to be a dark blonde / light brown. I have naturally dark blonde / light brown hair with a fair amount of grey. Unfortunately this colour oxided on my hair, resulting in a very dark brown shade. Two weeks later, my colour has not faded as much as it normally does, so my hair is still dark brown. When I used the colour, there was a strong ammonia smell, which concerned me as it can trigger an asthma attack. Fortunately, despite the smell it did not give me any problems When mixed and applied, the hair colour is thick and did not drip down my face or neck, or spill onto the floor After colouring and applying the enclosed conditioner, my hair felt smooth and soft, and there was not much hair loss when combing my hair The colour covered pretty much all my greys, and two weeks later the greys are still covered. Usually by this stage, the hair colour has faded significantly and grey hairs are become more apparent. I left the colour in for the maximum time stated on the enclosed leaflet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sijohnstone from Quick and easy hair colour I don't usually dye my own hair so this was something a little new for me but I found it so easy to use When I first opened the box I was a little scared of all the bottles but after reading the instructions I realised it wasn't that scary. The preparation was easy - put on the gloves, mix the colour and off you go I did my whole head (shoulder length fine hair but lots of it) and there was plenty of product to cover everything. It was so easy to apply and I left it on for about 30 mins (recommendation is 25 minutes but by the time my alarm went off and I started rinsing it was about another 5 minutes) I do find the gloves a bit flimsy but no different to other hair colour brands I have tried I found the smell to be ok but could still smell that chemical smell that you get with any hair colour. Also still had the slight irritation to the eyes The part I liked the most was the conditioning. Loved the texture and the smell. Also took the time to close my eyes with some soothing cucumbers After drying my hair felt really soft and smelled amazing At first I didn't really like the colour (8.1 Ash Blonde) as it is a bit different to what I would normally do. It grew on me over time though I am not going to give up my hairdressing appointments but would definitely use this product in between visits if I need to.

The first part of our trial was for The Garnier Nutrisse Colour Crème Permanent Nourishing Hair Colour and initially I had chosen my colour, however this wasn't available so I had to go with and alterative colour which 10.01 Natural Light Ash Blonde. I do have to say that I'm not really an Ash Blonde girl so for me I wasn't thrilled to have to change my colour choice The colour comes housed in your normal rectangle box with the Garnier logo and woman on the front with what your hair colour will look like. The box contains the Developer Crème, Nourishing Colour Crème, After Colour Conditioner and a set of gloves. Now for me the gloves are my pet hate in hair colours as they are always to big and loose so I do suggest for those with smaller hands investing in a box of the proper disposable gloves if your colour your hair at home often as these fit better and your can work the colourant into your hair better. The instructions always say to perform a patch test on your skin 48 hours before you use the product to see if you have an allergic reaction to the product before colouring your hair, however I didn't as we only had a short period of time for this trial. I would suggest doing this with a new brand or if your colouring your hair for the first time. Now you can use this one of two ways, Whole Head application if your colouring your hair for the first time, your hair colour has grown out or if your using a completely new shade. Option two is if your colouring your hair with the same or similar colour and you just need to touch up the roots and freshen the rest of your hair. I chose the first option as the shade was different from my hair colour and I wanted a uniform result After reading the instructions I covered my shoulders with an old towel, applied my gloves and prepared and mixed up my colour by unscrewing the cap off the applicator bottle, opening the colour crème tube and removing the plastic ring and then screwing the cap back on the pierce the tube. Next I removed the cap and added the entire contents of the colour crème to the applicator bottle and screwed the lid back on and shook the mixture for approx 30 seconds. I then snapped the top off and was now ready to colour my hair.I first started with my roots and noticed the mixture was creamy and thick as well as smelling great for a hair colour. After applying the mixture to my roots I worked my way down the lengths of my hair and massaged this well for an even spread. I piled my hair up and set the timer for 25 minutes. If you have lots of greys or resistant hair you can leave the mixture on for up to 35 minutes. Over time the mixture does darken, however don't worry as this is normal and won't be the finished shade of your hair. After relaxing with a cuppa the 25 minutes had gone by and I was ready to rinse my hair. Leave on your gloves, add a little warm water to emulsify the colourant and rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. I do suggest doing this in the shower for less mess and it's easier to rinse this way as well. Now time to condition with the added conditioner in the pack and you simply apply a generous amount, massage through your hair and leave on for 2-3 minutes and rinse Now your ready to see the final results. After drying off my hair I did notice how soft, shiny and brighter it did look and I have to say even though I'm not an Ash Blonde girl I have had many compliments and the colour does seem to be growing on me more every day. Overall this is easy to use, covers greys really well, leaves your hair soft and shiny with the added oils it contains and looks and feels amazing. I would recommend this and I will try this out again if I can get the shade I originally wanted. A great hair colourant.

I have mid length hair with maybe 30% greys coming through, so I usually colour my hair every six weeks This was perfect timing as a roots touch up due. I requested 4.15 Iced Chestnut after using the Garnier 'Find my Shade ' online which I found extremely helpful Now for the product. The box includes everything needed including gloves, which is great. The instructions were easy to follow and quick to mix having to blend and shake colour and developer for approximately 30-60 seconds. The applicator bottle was ideal for applying to the roots as it had a nozzle. The colour was easy to apply and the consistency was great to spread through the roots and thick enough so that it didn't drip while I was occupied during the 'waiting, time. I did allow 35 mins to develop as I know my hair doesn't alway take well. The smell was ok not too overpowering, and after washing I applied the fabulous conditioner supplied. This left my hair feeling soft and smelling great. As for the colour it does look very close to the colour shown in the box however maybe not quite as dark as I was expecting. However that could be due my colour choice I will be interested to see how long it lasts especially on my greys. I will be using the Garnier Avocado Mask which should help extend colour hold. Overall I am very happy with this product and for the price I think it is well worth it. I would buy again but possibly a shade darker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sandyt from Great to cover your greys I usually do not use this product so it was great to trial it, the packaging was a bit flimsy as it opened up from both ends with the products slipping out. The instruction leaflet was really simple easy to read and follow and great compact sheet. The contents of the box were very similar to what u find in the other brands. The gloves I must say were better quality than most brands and easy to open the packet due to the perforation. I mixed the contents in a bowl and used a brush to apply the dye. I find it easier and effective to use the color with a brush The mixture does not have a very strong smell although I had to be really careful as it stained the skin very quickly on the face and around the ears. Although I had used a bit of oil to create a barrier on my face and ears In had a lot of greys to cover so I left the color in my hair for about 45 mins. I used the conditioner and also the avocado mask after washing my hair I must add the it did not sting either my scalp or ,my eyes while I rinsed it Once my hair were dry I was pleased to see the results, greys totally covered and beautiful even hair color on my hair. My hair felt soft , nourished and glossy. It was easy to run my fingers throug them The only thing I felt was that the quantity was a bit less for my medium length hair Overall a good product and would use it again.

During that time I have tried a lot of different brands of hair colour but had never tried Garnier Nutrisse. The colour I chose to trial was 9.13 Light Ash Beige Blonde. It's the one with Carrie Bickmore on the box. I tend to have a bit of red in my blonde hair so I like to use the Ash shades to tone it down a bit The dye kit is pretty much the same as most home hair dyes, the one difference being it also had a nourishing conditioner. There are quite a few that don't have this. I also noticed that the bottle was quite a good size so there is enough for a second condition. After mixing the colour cream and developer, I applied it to mostly the roots of my hair as I had about 2 inches of regrowth. I left it on for the extra 10 minutes as suggested in the instructions for resistant grey. I found the smell to be not unpleasant as it didn't smell as strongly of ammonia as some dyes do. After blending the rest of the dye into my ends and waiting another 10 minutes, it was time to rinse. I then applied the conditioner and left it on for about 5 minutes. It smelled lovely and fruity. After rinsing, I left my hair to dry naturally as I usually do I must say, I'm quite impressed with the grey coverage. I often still have grey hairs I can see after dying but this time I really couldn't see any. Also, the colour is really nice and doesn't look brassy at all. I will definately be bying this brand of hair dye.

I’ve been colouring my hair for years, at the salon & at home, and have been every colour from nearly black to platinum blonde. As I’m getting older and my greys are increasing, it’s easier to stay blonde so the re-growth isn’t as noticeable and I don’t have to colour as often Due to the red pigment in my hair I have been going to the salon to have foils done as the last time I tried a blonde at-home-colour it went very yellow. I heard good things about the Garnier range so thought I would give this a go. I chose Medium Ash Beige Blonde Firstly the packaging and contents are pretty standard, developer, colour, after use conditioner, and gloves. Like most of the other brands I have tried, you add the colour tube to the developer cream bottle and shake. Snip or twist the top of the applicator bottle and apply. It says you can apply just on re-growth or all over the hair. I chose to just do my re-grown as I like to have the underneath/ends of my hair a bit darker, and I still had some ash blonde from last salon visit Once it was mixed the texture was perfect, it was easy to apply with no dripping or mess. It still had that chemical smell but I don’t think it was a strong as some others. The end result was excellent, all my greys were covered and it blended perfectly with my previous colour. I also really liked the conditioner, had a nice fruity smell and the bonus was that there was enough left over for another use

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bernadette 98 from Easy and effective to use I was impressed at how easy it was use - everything you need is in the box and the instructions are straight forward to use and make the whole process very easy to follow. The product was very easy to use and did not have a strong smell - which was good as other brands I have used in the past have been very overpowering !!! I was concerned about the size of the Nourishing Conditioner sachet as it was only 60ml and there would not be enough for my thick hair and I was right. I think it would be fine for someone who has hair that is normal thickness and not as much hair as I have. My hair did feel soft after using the conditioner but it could have been better if there was more in the sachet. I was happy with the overall result of the colour as it did cover my grey hairs and the overall result was a nice even colour. My hair has a nice shine to it and feels soft when I run my fingers through it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gaylevo from Smooth and Silky I trialled Natural Light Ash Blonde which didn't exactly produce the colour on packet guide, it was a bit too "orange" for me but not so that I don't like the end result The instructions were super easy to follow and simple to apply There was no overwhelming smell which is alway a good thing. The only gripe I have is with the gloves that are in the packet, they were to big and bulky to really feel how the product was being applied, I prefer closely fitted gloves (which I had at home and used) The end result was a smooth and silky feel to my hair without any dryness The cover was even and looked great, although people with hair longer than your shoulders would probably need two boxes to get the proper coverage you're after.

A combination of being a time poor working Mum and being increasingly skeptical of the chemicals in permanent hair dye. I recently changed my parting and WHOOAA! an explosion of grey was revealed. I'm just not ready to go grey so tI jumped, perhaps too hastily to trial the Garnier Nutrisse Hair Colour. The smell was subtly chemically but not eye- watering and generally the application procedure was very simple. The end result is very shiny and soft BLACK hair. Espresso, it ain’t. I'm guessing this is because I have very dry hair at the tips. I'll be upping my shampoo regime to speed up the fade as the colour is a tad fake looking for me. Next time I'm looking to cover greys I think I'll look for a more natural option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Josie616 from It Really works Thanks BH for letting me trial the medium ash blonde colour, it was quiet darker then I thought, My natural hair colour is Strawberry blonde But I usually keep a light blonde, I found the gloves very flimsy I prefer the ones you get in the say John frieda range the black gloves as they stay on better and feel your hair etc. I found the instructions easy to read and use One thing that did stand out for me is the chemical smell and it stung my eyes. I had the air-vent on and bathroom window opened. I would prefer the mousse range, as creme with small kids I just find a little to messy if trying to do it too quickly. It did however provide great coverage but just too dark too what I normally have. The price is also great for the home hair colourers I am 36 and don't have grey hair yet. So this was really a refresher for me for my hair colour. I found my hair quite dry after using it however the conditioner you get in there as soon as you add it it is lovely and silky and also helps with you alternate and use the avacado hair mask Next time will definatly use a lighter blonde as this one like I said just a tad too dark.

Rated 4 out of 5 by duality from Shade no.6 “Acorn” Light Brown - super glossy hair Pack comes with 60ml developer, 40ml crème colour, 60ml aftercare conditioner, decent fitting gloves and instructions. For reference I have just over shoulder length, dark ash blonde or a no.5 as my base shade The mix is pretty thick and gooey, almost stringy in texture and therefore does not drip at all. It smells quite nice, no overpowering chemical smell. For my personal taste (and being used to a wetter gel format) I found it difficult to evenly coat my hair with this thick mix. I would recommend sectioning your hair in 6 small parts before beginning. Also another small criticism is that I barely had enough to cover my hair and really would have benefited from using 2 packs. My regular brand is a total of 120ml mix and this one is only 100ml and being so thick it doesn’t really go as far As I have only 3-4 grey hairs I can’t really comment on if it really does 100% cover greys, but the very few I have I can’t seem to find now, so I am guessing it does! After rinsing off the mix my hair felt really conditioned and not dry at all. Once I followed with the conditioner my hair was extra silky and quite glossy. The conditioner has a very strong fruity-floral scent and it really lingers, it is super hydrating and nourishing and made detangling a breeze The colour was a little deeper and richer than I expected, a nice mid chocolate brown but I was happy it had no warm undertones and was a pretty neutral-to-cool brown, which is exactly what I was looking for as warm tones don’t sit well with my fair skin. I love that the colour is very natural and leaves my hair so glossy, it looks like I have had a treatment done. Usually my hair can be a little dull after colouring, the gloss was a real bonus I found after 3-4 washes the excess colour seemed to come out and I was left with a colour slightly darker than expected but I do like it. I cannot comment on the 8 weeks of colour part as this review is due before I can test that, but will come back and update my review.
