General Information
The active ingredient in Rafen is ibuprofen which assists in the relief of pain and inflammation
For the temporary relief of pain and/or inflammation associated with:
* headache, migraine headache, tension headache
* period pain
*dental pain
*back pain and arthritic pain
*cold and flu symptoms. Also reduces fever.

Warnings
Do not use:
In children 6 years of age or less
If you have a stomach ulcer, impaired kidney function or heart failure.
If you are allergic to aspirin, ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatory medicines. If you get an allergic reaction, stop taking and consult your doctor immediately.
If trying to become pregnant, or during the first 6 months of pregnancy, except on doctor's advice. Do not use at all during the last 3 months of pregnancy.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Do not use for more than a few days at a time unless a doctor has told you to.
Excessive use can be harmful and increase the risk of heart attack, stoke or liver damage
Unless advised by your doctor, do not use:
If you are taking other medicines regularly
If you are taking other medicines containing aspirin, ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatory medicines
If you have asthma
In children suffering from dehydration through diarrhoea and/or vomiting

Directions
Adults and children 12 years and over:
1 or 2 tablets initially taken with fluid, then 1 or 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as necessary. Maximum of 6 tablets in 24 hours.
Children 7 to 12 years (22 to 41kg):
1 tablet every 6 to 8 hours as necessary. Maximum of 4 tablets in 24 hours. If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, consult your doctor.
