Desitin Rapid Protection Nappy Rash Barrier Ointment immediately protects skin from nappy rash.

The rich, thick formula of DESITIN® contains zinc oxide to immediately form a barrier to help soothe and comfort baby's skin from nappy rash, providing up to 12-hour long-lasting protection for your baby's tender skin. This formula is dermatologist-tested and hypoallergenic. It protects skin from prolonged exposure to moisture and external irritants, making DESITIN® your trusted partner in comforting baby's skin from nappy rash.

Directions

After cleaning and drying the entire affected area, apply ointment gently without rubbing each time the nappy is changed.

The tube was very convenient, and definitely prefer the tube over large tubs. I may not switch from my regular nappy cream, however if I find myself running out and unable to purchase it I would happily use Destin.

My daughter was really happy with it. She wanted to keep putting some on.

I don’t reach for this cream as my first choice, purely because of the smell. I’ll continue to use it when my daughter gets a bad nappy rash and our regular cream doesn’t fix it quick enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I noticed when using desitin was an unpleasant fishy smell (likely due to cod liver oil) in the formulation which they have tried masking with fragrance but it’s nowhere near masked. Spreading was easy and leaves a barrier layer against things causing nappy rash. Effective in treating chafing from edges of nappy tabs and mild rash. For me, the smell was most off putting part about it and made me want to not use it.
