Brush thoroughly at least twice a day or as directed by your dental professional. Do not swallow. Rinse with a small amount of water. Not recommended for children 6 years or less. I don’t think it was great for removing plaque but that hard to tell. The only thing we dislike about this toothpaste as a family with teens .., is the cap is hard to close so we got a messy tube! But overall impressed with the antibacterial benefits.

The mint-iness isn’t as overwhelming as I was expecting (I assumed it would be stronger based on the “Active Fresh” name on the product. Overall, I was quite happy with this toothpaste as it didn’t feel like it was a significant change from the ones I usually use. I would consider this one over other Colgate products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for those who like a sweeter mint [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a regular user of Colgate toothpaste, particularly the whitening toothpastes (anything to help with a brigher smile earns points with me). The first thing I noticed when trying out the Active Fresh toothpaste was that the mint flavour was sweeter, more of a spearmint than a peppermint. My personal preference is for the "hotter" peppermint, so the flavour took a little getting used to, but my mouth still felt fresh after using the toothpaste, and my teeth felt smooth and free of debris. I used this with an electric toothbrush so didn't require too much product; it lathers well in the mouth. The only reason I wouldn't buy this again is due to my strong preference for whitening toothpastes, but if you're after a regular toothpaste that is suitable for all of the family, then I recommend this one as it should be pleasing to all who use it.

I normally use the Colgate Total 12 and found that the Colgate Active was less foamy but left my mouth feeling cleaner. My only negative comment is that the paste residue seems to come out more once finished using, I found excess paste in the lid when opening and closing. You have to press the lid pretty hard to close as well after use.
