Directions

Apply a quarter size amount of product, lather and rinse. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately. Follow with Conditioner or Treatment Mask & Oil.

The packaging is nice and easy to store in my little shower caddy in the bathroom (which always helps) its scent is nice too, light and not too insulting on the scents. The application of the shampoo is easy enough, you dont need too much like you would with other brands. It lathers up nicely in the hair and seems to do a really good job cleaning my scalp. As someone who has dry hair, it's seemed to leave my hair more hydrated, however, I do need additional products to tame the frizz, it could have something else added to tame the frizz!!

First off the packaging was very appealing I love the lime green colour! I also really enjoyed the sweet caramel/vanilla scent they both have, I especially could smell the scent once my hair was dried as well. The conditioner was my favourite out of the two and it's something I would definitely consider purchasing again. I loved how silky it made my hair and really enjoyed the quality and thickness of the product. While the shampoo was pleasant smelling and good quality lather it's definitely not the right product for my hair type. I have pretty oily roots and dry ends and even after two shampoos I didn't really feel that nice clean hair feeling I get from other shampoos. I do feel however if you had dry hair that this would work really well as it's very luxe and moisturising. Overall I think both products are of great value and given the price they definitely warrant the quality.

The packaging of this product is sleek and smells absolutely lovely. I have fine curly hair, but lots of it. I find with shampoos they tend to dry out my hair and leave my hair hard to work with once I hop out of the shower. With this shampoo and conditioner I was pleasantly surprised to find how well it hydrated my hair. I have really been enjoying using this product as I was sceptical at first that my hair wouldn’t take to it, but it leaves my hair feeling well nourished and also gives my curls that nice bounce and a little volume. I would definitely consider re-purchasing this and will definitely be on the lookout for more products from this brand.

The Matrix shampoo is a hydrating shampoo that contains avocado oil and vitamin E to give your strands an extra boost of hydration. It comes in a bright green bottle and the shampoo is quite thick. What I really like about it is how great it lathers! You don't have to use much of it and my hair is coated with the rich lather which I like because I want to make sure every party of my hair is clean! It has a nice scent too and even though it's a hydrating shampoo it doesn't weigh my hair down or leave any residue. My hair feels so clean afterwards but I do feel like the shampoo doesn't provide my hair with enough hydration. I think when it's paired with the conditioner then you get the right amount. Just the shampoo on its own isn't enough. It's a good shampoo but I think what would make it great is if it had a bit more hydration to it.

Definitely loving the scent and the lather on this product!!!! I do 2 shampoos and a little goes a way with the lather!!! The scent isn’t too over powering but I do like my hair products to have a nice smell. The hydration it leaves my hair and the shine is pretty good! There is a good clean feeling on my scalp after I have shampooed 2 times!! So far so good I’ll be continuing to use as I have noticed a difference in the condition!! Starting off strong, the smell was quite pleasant yet not overpowering. I used approximately a quarter size of product and emulsified it in my hands, which created a beautiful, thick lather. My scalp felt insanely clean after rinsing yet so hydrated and not drying at all! After rinsed I immediately noticed a significant difference to the feeling and appearance of my hair compared to other shampoos which typically dry my hair out. All in all, I will defiantly be purchasing this product again and even buying all my friends and family some to test out.

I have to say the Matrix Food for Soft Hydrating Shampoo was alright at cleaning my hair, just not great at keeping it clean. I have very dry sensitive scalp and have tried many products to try and help this. Whilst it did not fix the sensitive scalp it did make my hair feel very hydrated. It didn’t make it look greasy and I liked the consistency it wasn’t to thick and was easy to wash out. I really liked the packaging, the squeeze tube is great when the product starts to run low. Unfortunately though for sensitive scalps it wasn’t great as I did have to increase my frequency in washes.

This is not as hydrating as it is claiming to be and i have had better shampoos. I like my shampoo that bubbles more as it makes me feel that it really cleanses my scalp but this one does not enough. I am also not a fan of the scent but it does not bother me much. The packaging is alsoe very unique and os not like any typical shampoo bottle. Inwould atill recommend thia for probably with normal hair and not the dry and damaged ones. I would still give it another try as it might work with longer use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The matrix food for soft hydrating shampoo is eye catching, with large easy to read writing, smells delicious and has some great ingredients. My hair is quite fine and usually very smooth, but after 8 weeks of use I found it had lost its shine and became quite dry and straw like. I do have bleached hair but have never found any other salon quality products to have this affect on my hair. I was a bit disappointed by the results and probably wouldn't recommend this product. It also has a quite steap price at $25 a bottle, but a small amount of product did seem to go a long way.

Apart from this it was great to use. It smell was nice and wasn’t too strong, the bottle was nice and slim so it didn’t take up too much space in my shower. The lather was also really good which is something I loved. The bottle was able to be placed upside down so it was good for getting every last drop out without wastage, which was much appreciated. I would recommend this if you were looking for something to get your hair feeling soft!

I have been using both of these products 2-3 times per week for 2 months now. I have coloured, medium length hair with dry ends. The packaging of this duo is nice and sleek. Both shampoo and conditioner smell floraly and light, but not at all overpowering. These products include ingredients like avocado oil and hyaluronic acid which are great hydrating ingredients. The shampoo lathers well and a little goes a long way. I felt my hair and scalp were thoroughly cleaned after using the shampoo. Of the two, I really enjoyed using the detangling conditioner. Again the smell is nice but not overpowering and does not linger too long. This conditioner is definitely get for detangling and really helped in this aspect. My hair was very soft and hydrated afterwards. Overall I enjoyed using both Matrix shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels clean and refreshed. However I did find that the hydration did not last as long in my hair as other shampoo and conditioners. I have very dry hair and my ends were frizzing out quicker than with other products. I also feel it is more on the pricier side for the bottle size

I’ve been struggling with a dry scalp, oily roots and dry middle and ends. This shampoo definitely helped to address the scalp and the ends however it left the roots feeling and looking really flat. I also feel like the fresh hair feeling didn’t last as long between washes and I felt I had to wash my hair more regularly when using this shampoo exclusively. So while it’s a really lovely shampoo it wouldn’t be an everyday shampoo for me, but rather a treatment shampoo when I’m needing the extra moisture and happy to have to wash it again sooner than unusual.

The experience of using the products themself was okay. I liked the texture of the products, the scent was quite light and somewhat underwhelming, although maybe I'm just used to more scented products. I had to do a double wash with the shampoo for my scalp to feel properly clean, and then my hair would feel greasy/ dirty a lot faster than normal. For context, my scalp is a little on the oily side, but not super oily. Over all, I was pretty underwhelmed and somewhat disappointed with the product, but maybe it just wasn't for me!

Unfortunately for my personal experience that’s where the good things end, I felt like using this shampoo it left my hair greasy and lifeless. After washing with the shampoo I also felt that my scalp was not clean and that build up was still present. It’s a very thick formula and very heavy on the hair, if you have desperately dry or coarse hair from roots to tip this shampoo would be great for you, I feel like it’s targeted at vet specific hair types. It wasn’t for me and for the price I wouldn’t purchase it again but if you are on the hunt for something like a deep conditioner in shampoo form I would recommend trying this.

The shampoo by itself makes your hair dry if you use it just by itself and needs to be used with the conditioner for best results. For the price I feel it is very good, Since I have curly hair it helped with taming the frizz and making my hair soft but needs to be used 2-3 times a week. I had to wash my hair and condition it every 2 days to keep the frizz away. Would recommend it for wavy hair that is not too curly.

Overall I did not love this shampoo, it's not for oily haired people. The shampoo was not great, didn't cleanse enough and left my hair feeling unclean even after 2 shampoos, thought the conditioner really brought a beautiful softness, shine and flow to my hair. It looked super healthy and hydrated! The product is super easy to squeeze out, smells fresh and green, though I don't love the look of the bottle. I would re-purchase the conditioner, but not the shampoo. Price is too high for what it is.

I have fine hair (not dyed). I wasn’t super impressed by this product - I found that the result was fairly similar to any supermarket brand, with it being 2-3 times the cost. I used it with the conditioner and found that even directly after washing and drying, my hair looked slightly oily as if it had been about 2-3 days since it was last washed. Some positives: it had some great ingredients like avocado oil and hyaluronic acid. Overall, I wasn’t a big fan of this product as it didn’t seem to suit my hair type, and wouldn’t repurchase

I actually really enjoyed the clean scent it has and loved that it wasn't a very liquidy shampoo. However my issues with it are that I noticed my hair would look dirty the next day. With my usual hair routine I would be able to go a few days without having to wash my hair, but with this I would have to use dry shampoo the next day as it looks oily. I'd say my scalp is a little on the oily side, but nothing crazy, so I wasn't really expecting it have that affect. My ends are dry so I thought a gentler and more hydrating shampoo would help, but I didn't notice much difference. Usually that's the job of conditioner so that's fair. If you have dry roots/scalp, I think this product would be heaven-sent. If you have normal to slightly oily scalp I don't recommend at all. It didn't weigh down my hair, but it did make it look a bit unwashed.

I have dyed copper hair that I wash 2-3 times a week, since I have an oily scalp and dry ends. I also use hair dryer and styling tools. This shampoo didn't impress me much, since I'm used to salon type products, that means no nasties and heaps of chemicals in there. This shampoo is more like supermarket brand I feel like. My hair was pretty dry after a wash, but it smells nice and my hair was definitely clean, just wasn't for my hair type and I always advice to use products that fulfill your needs!

Is that a bad thing? Not necessarily. I personally have blonde hair (not natural), which by nature is going to be on the dry side. So i do usually go for salon quality products. My hair certainly felt clean after the shampoo and soft after the conditioner. However when styling my hair after i did notice a difference to normal. I found my hair was a but dryer and frizzier. If you have virgin hair, i do believe this product would be good for you.

The first week it was amazing and my hair felt clean and light, so i was excited to see what the next 7 weeks would bring, but by the end of the second week (wash every second day) it started to decline in health. I've reduced to using it once a week now for the last 5 weeks to see if that improves it, but it hasnt shown any improvement from the inital decline. Over all it smells amazing but it's not a product I would go out of my way to buy or recommend to others.

This left me feeling somewhat apprehensive about using it on my hair. However, driven by the high number of positive reviews I had come across, as well as the considerable investment I had made in purchasing this seemingly high-end product, I decided to give it a chance. The shampoo and conditioner failed to live up to my expectations in terms of both hair softness and fragrance. In conclusion, while the shampoo and conditioner may have garnered rave reviews from others and boasted a hefty price tag, my personal experience with it fell short of the desired outcome.

I used the shampoo and conditioner together and found that they worked better as a clarifying shampoo. It should not be used all the time since the product does have hyaluronic acid and the avocado oil was not that moisturising. I think if the avocado oil was more moisturising I think the product would work a ton better. I am super disappointed in the shampoo since it’s made for dry and hair. The only redemption is probably the packaging. I love the green and pink colour combo! Also the slender packaging of it is so chic.
