General Information

The Manicare® Air Cushion Sponge Duo are made from luxuriously soft material, designed to create a flawless, smooth natural finish. Whether used damp or dry, with liquid, cream, or powder foundations, they offer maximum product pick up and transfer to skin.

The larger sponge provides seamless, all-over coverage, creating a radiant base for your makeup. The finger sponge offers precision for the delicate under-eye area and the intricate T-zone areas which is perfect for contouring.

Beauty tip
Use sponges wet or dry. For a lighter, dewy coverage, try using the sponges wet by rinsing sponges under water and squeezing out excess water before use. For more coverage, use sponges dry. These pocket-size sponges are great for touch-ups on the go.

I enjoyed the little sponge for concealer and to bake under my eyes with powder. The material is really nice and soft too and feels quite luxurious. The biggest sponge, I tried to use for liquid foundations but found that it just didn’t compare to my beauty blender. It was really good for powder all over the face and blended in smoothly to the skin. I would recommend this sponge for powder over foundation or liquids, and I would purchase the sponge. I recommend .

The silicon sponge applicator would be fantastic for acne prone skin as it is easily cleaned between uses. I particularly loved the tiny sponge. It was great for undereye makeup application. Particularly concealer and powdering the undereye to eliminate creases. the compact size of both products makes then ideal for travel and on the go make up applications. The silicon sponge I would not use regularly as it didn't achieve the finish like with my foundation. It would be best suited to a full coverage product application. The material texture of the small sponge was much nicer and achieved the matte look I prefer from a sponge tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super soft [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The air cushion's shape and feel remind me of my Korean cushion foundation sponges as it is super soft. I have only used it dry and the only problem i have is that it is very absorbent of my liquid foundation as I realised I do have to use more product compared to a brush. Therefore, I like to use it at the end with my fine setting powders to achieve a very flawless finish. It also comes with a smaller sponge like the size of your thumb as I like to use it to apply my concealer around my eyes or blemish areas as it does give a better and flawless coverage compared to a brush. The sponges allow a faster liquid foundation application process with great finish and if that is something you only care about then this is the perfect product for you. They are easy to clean with my makeup brush soap and i just let it air dry during the day or overnight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Game changer makeup sponge! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Manicare Air Cushion Sponge duo is fantastic! This is a 5/5 product. I’m a regular user of both brush and sponges for makeup application with my preference being a flat sponge. I was sceptical but these Air Cushion sponges are an absolute game changer. My makeup glided on well and then with a pat pat pat action all over, my face became like porcelain with the makeup absorbing and settling in a very even and precise way. I have larger pores so this style of application was exceptionally advantageous to ensuring my makeup lasted a long time as well as looking naturally beautiful. The tiny little Air Cushion sponge was a great addition to this set and works really well around the eyes to apply eye primer or even out makeup or concealer on fine lines around the eye. I would highly recommend this product!

I used the small one for my concealer and I struggled to blend properly and feel like it was very flat and not cushioned enough and left lines in my makeup. The large sponge was the opposite and sucked up my foundation. I am not a fan of the texture of the sponge and again it did not blend very well. I tree it with both a liquid and a cream foundation and had the same experience with both. This sponge may be best used with a pressed powder instead. Maybe I am set in my ways but I definitely preferred my blender sponge.

I found the larger puff applied the foundation fine however I felt that it soaked up too much of the foundation which ultimately was a disadvantage. The puff is very light and soft to the skin which I appreciated. The smaller puff was perfect for under eye concealer. I would definitely use that again instead of my finger for patting in concealer. It would also be handy to keep in your handbag for touch ups throughout the day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sponges for all products [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Manicare Air Cushion Sponge Duo is a really great set of sponges for base makeup products. The pack comes with a large sponge for the face and big areas of coverage, and a tiny little finger tip sized sponge for more finicky areas and contours of the face. The sponges are incredibly soft and smooth, they are by far the softest sponges to the touch that I have ever used. Only the front of the sponge is usable for makeup application, as the back is covered and has a band of ribbon to slip your fingers through. The Air Cushion Sponge are extremely cushiony and plush, but they also provide a good amount of bounce and resistance. Liquid- The Air Cushion Sponges do not soak up a lot of liquid product, which is great for reducing excessive usage. They provide a seamless blend and smooth application for foundation and concealer with no patchiness. I have been using the little sponge for all concealer application and blending, it works really well. Cream- The big sponge has been great for patting out and blending cream bronzer and blush. It blends out the edges very well with no harsh lines, and keeps the colours concentrated. Powder- The Air Cushion Sponges have been great for setting with a compressed powder. It presses the product into the skin flawlessly and does not move products underneath. It does not work as well with loose powder. The sponges wash well but take a while to dry due to the extra cushion and thickness. It would be good to have a traditional teardrop shaped sponge made of the same materials, or even a sponge in the same style with a pointy end to get into the nose creases and undereye inner corner easier. Overall I really like these sponges and will continue t use them. I’d definitely purchase just for the tiny sponge, and a pack of tiny sponges would be great!

They are easy to wash with warm water and soap.The packaging was easy to open . Its made of cardboard and a little plastic. This product can fit in your handbag or make up case. This product was easy to wash because the sponge doesn't soak up the foundation. So your aren't wasting your foundation. The package was easy to open and use. I received this product as a gift. I would put this product in a zip lock bag if you are traveling and if it isn't dry.

Upon opening the package, I noticed the softness and resilience of the sponge material. It felt very soft to the touch, and I was eager to see how it would perform with my favorite liquid foundation. I loved the soft and pillowy texture of both of these sponges. The larger sponge is great for using to assist with foundation application. I the size of it, as it makes full face coverage easy. It was really great at helping to blend and even out the foundation coverage really well, helping to give a flawless finish. The ribbon handle was also very helpful to use the sponge without getting foundation on my fingers. The mini sponge was great for assisting with the application of highlighting bronzer for contouring. The sponge helped to blend the highlighter really well to assist with achieving a subtle finish.

The material is incredibly soft and smooth, which makes for a luxurious application experience. The larger sponge is perfect for achieving seamless, all-over coverage. I love how it helps my makeup look radiant and natural, without any streaks or patches. Not sure about the smaller finger sponge, I tried for concealer, but ended up just using the corner of the large one. Overall, I'm really impressed with the Air Cushion sponges.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helps me to reduce touching my face! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit that I am a face toucher, even though I know I shouldn't. I apply my face products with my fingers, and at least wash my hands before, but know that it is better to apply with a clean & soft applicator, instead. This is why I was looking forward to trying the Manicare Air Cushion Sponge Duo. The coolest part, for me, was the finger sponge to help reduce the touching/dragging on the most delicate skin under my eyes and in the T-zone. It allows for the lightest and softest touch in application. I also found that using the point tip is fab for touch ups and fine management around blemish areas. The large cushion is lush and soft. I must admit, applying with the sponge vs fingers smoothes out the skin texture and makes my skin look more lush and vibrant. I just need to force myself to break my bad habits and use what work well! Both sponges were simple and quick to clean after daily use and the weekly deeper clean is easy done, too. I would recommend, especially to anyone looking to make a better habit tranistion, like me, and with a product that is easy to clean and re-use.

This product works okay, but feels a bit flimsy for daily use in my opinion. I think for liquid foundations there are far better options out there but for powder foundations in very specific areas, such as around the eyes or around the nose, this works well. The little sponge is great for concealer under the eyes but I probably wouldn't find myself reaching for it often as I prefer just using one sponge for my whole face and this is too small for that. Thanks for allowing me to be part of the trial team, I appreciate it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Air Cushion [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got to trial the air cushion sponge duo as part of the Beauty Heaven trial team. On first impression the sponges were soft, and did have an airy texture to them. The larger sponge applied and blended my tinted moisturiser nicely, while I used the smaller sponge to apply my cream blush, it transferred a good amount of the product to my face and blended efficiently however, the smaller size made it difficult to stay on my finger while applying and kept slipping off. Overall these sponges are worth keeping in my makeup bag.

The sponges have a great texture and feel to use. The strap on the back is so smart and made them so much easier to use one handed while holding product in my other hand. They felt like they glided over my skin and I expected smooth flawless coverage. I tried them dry first and found no matter how much product I tried with it all came off on the sponge not my skin! I tried them wet after this and that didn't help and neither did pressure. I love the concept and smaller tool but sadly don't think these will work for me, too much makeup wasted.

I personally use powder foundation and for myself I think I will continue to use a brush to apply. The sponge may be better used with a liquid in the same way a beauty blender or blending sponge would work. Others may have different opinions I just did not appreciate the results when paired with powder. I found when I was applying it, the foundation would stick more to one area on the face (the initial contact area) and then i found it would spread unevenly. This could have been user error but it just was not the product for me and that is okay. However, like I said I only tried it with powder and it may work better with liquid. The sponge itself had a nice feel to it and it did sit nicely on my finger and in my hand. Did not feel weird to hold and the texture was great.
