Rated 3 out of 5 by from Terrible wand, decent formula [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from Influenster and Rimmel in exchange for my honest review. I’ve been searching for a new favourite mascara after my all time fav was discontinued and I was hoping this would be the one, but unfortunately it didn’t quite hit the mark. The wand applicator has such short and spread out bristles that it just clumped my lashes together on the first use, and it was hard to get them to seperate. It took me a few uses to figure out the best way to apply it to prevent as much clumping, but it still wasn’t the greatest even while being super cautious. The formula I found to be quite wet, which while it gave me a little longer to work on it (and try seperate the lashes), I found it weighed down my lashes ands they didn’t hold a curl very well. As you can see in the photo, my lashes aren’t really that visible, so I don’t think it added much length to them and with them clumping it was hard to get any volume. using a different brush made it a little better, but the formula was too wet to get that curl to hold. On the bright side, if you’re prone to mistakes it is so easy to wipe away once dry without taking any eyeshadow off, which is good for people who have twitchy eyes. So overall, I probably wouldn’t recommend this mascara or purchase it again, but it’s a decent one for everyday wear at the moment so i’ll still continue to use it.

But still drops the lashes after sometime. There’s a bit of clumping upon application.

I found it quite clumpy on my lashes and the short bristles on the wand made it a bit hard to apply. The container itself was good and it felt really airtight when closed. This gave me the impression that the product will last quite a while and not dry out. I'll keep using it but I'll need to perfect using the wand so I don't get clumpy lashes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not a fan of this type of wand, I find it too prickly BUT if I were then I’d be very happy. It doesn’t clump, adds volume and makes my lashes stand out. It takes a little extra effort to remove.

I found the Mascara easy to apply. However, it did go on clumpy, and the thickness was far too great for a more mature complexion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Influenster offered this product to me for free in exchange for my honest unbiased opinion about what I thought of the product, and the brand. The first thing that is important is that this product is cruelty free. YES! Very important to me when it comes to choosing a cosmetics brand. The packaging looks nice! First, the mascara was a little too thick and was slightly clumpy, which caused my eyelashes to stick together (see photo). Due to the thick consistency of the mascara, I only did one light sweep across my eyelashes as I didn’t want really thick clumpy eyelashes, and I could see that if I applied another coat of mascara that it would have been a thick mess. I prefer a product to enhance my eyelashes without making them look overly done and instead keeping them looking more natural and just making them look longer. When dry the product feels soft on the eyelashes and not stiff plastic. Would prefer a thinner consistency that glides on more evenly. I feel that the application wand is no good, and this is why my eyelashes stuck together instead of separating as they should have. The application wand/brush would apply the product better if the brush was softer and more brittle, instead of the current style they’re offering in this product. That way the bristles will smooth out the mascara product and gently separate each eyelash as you sweep it across your eyelashes. I think it would clump less too. The product didn’t cause any irritation which was good. No odour either! The mascara was easy to remove without having to repeatedly wipe and wasn’t messy when removing it. Overall it’s a good product but not perfect. I was happy to trial this product and offer my honest opinion.

She says it's good... but, it seems to be a bit wet and smodgy. Her concern is that its not waterproof and also smudges when being removed. She's a bit disappointed, given the other Rimmel products she uses are great!

I love the wand of the product and how much it gives an instant result without having to apply more than one coat. I would just love it in a waterproof mascara as it did transfer but with another waterproof mascara on top it would be fine.

Before applying the mascara to my lashes I cleaned the excess of the brush on the tube. This allowed for a better application. Let me get to the only two issues! I am not a fan of the rubber wand because i usually poke my eye with it 90% of the time now this could be based on the user myself 😂! And it was quite thick and a lot of product would come out but was clump-free! Overall I don't think this product is for me personally!

The applicator does a nice job on my lower lashes, but isn't exactly clump free on my top lashes. I would recommend doing more than one layer to get the desired effect. A lot of product comes out on the applicator at once, so you do have to be a little careful not to smudge, but it is a nice dark mascara and it definitely fully coated my lashes.

It does unfortunately flake a little bit and I found myself wiping under my eyes fairly often. The removal was easy, I just used a oil based cleanser to remove and it worked well, with no residue left on the eyelashes or skin

With the first couple of uses I found it to be very runny and it made my lashes clumpy. I did like that the black was actually really dark so it made my lashes stand out. There was a little of lengthening but not much. It was easy to remove and there was so smudging which is nice. I think as the mascara dries out a little after a few more weeks it will perform better. Overall it is a nice mascara but I have used better ones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really hopeful that l would at last find my holy grail in this mascara ..loved the wand,loved the application of it..l could use the tip of the wand or use the wand to get great coverage.. 1st day l applied lightly but just enough to see l had lengthy lashes..5hrs of make up but noticing a concern..so try again tomorrow. 2nd day , l gave thicker application to create lush, full lashes..started to get concerned mid afternoon.. 3rd day back to light application..love the black of this mascara..removal is easy,not much effort required. Okay ..lm sad..what's not to love about this??? I sadly end up with panda eyes.. L have tried all week, everyday, 5hrs seems to be enough for me . I can see darkness forming under my eyes..

However it certainly wasn’t clump free for me, and needed quite a bit of tidying up before I could leave the house. The formula is easy to remove, which is a huge plus for me.

It lasted all day, until the clumps started falling. The next day though, the stain was still on my lashes and I quite liked how they looked- without the clumps I’m sure it would be great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited for this product however I am upset to say that I’m a little bit disappointed in how it performed. The waterproofing side of it was good and I felt like it gave my lashes a lot of volume,however the mascara wand made it a bit clumpy & uneven. There isn’t anything in the tube to evenly distribute the product so I found it. My lashes were really dark and one spot and really light in the other? Still nice though!

This lost a couple of stars because of its consistency which was quite thin. I didn’t expect this mascara to be quite thin because Rimmel mascara are never this consistency but then again this is a serum mascara so that’s probably why. Just one swap I made a massive mess of my face because so much product came out and it clumped all my eyelashes together. So I had to clean myself up and redo it. Before applying the mascara to my lashes I cleaned the excess of the brush on the tube. This allowed for a better application. With only one swipe my lashes were super black and really long. Performance was Impressive and knowing that this mascara has ingredients to strengthen and protect my lashes as a bonus. But overall look is quite amazing. Lashes look so long.

Relatively easy to apply although I did find it a bit gluggy for my liking and it left clumps on my eyelashes. Also described as a serum it took a LONG time to dry (as in I’m not sure it actually dried at all throughout the day…) I had to be careful when blinking so that it didn’t leave any black marks on my face. I also had to be careful that I didn’t brush my clothes against my makeup or they would get black marks on them too. The mascara also ran when I had watery eyes or perspiration. While the mascara did last throughout the day, I can’t say that I would like to wear it too often due to the chances of it rubbing off my eyes. It also was tricky to remove, leaving a dark glow on the skin around my eyes.

Only issue for me was that I prefer my lashes to be separated rather than the fullness look. It therefore does produce some clumping but compensates by lengthening.
