Squeeze a small amount of product onto fingertips and pat onto cheeks. Blend out with fingertips, a brush or sponge. Layer to build colour intensity.

Although the colour is beautiful it is too red for my skin tone, but I think would be well suited to someone with a darker complexion. The texture feels lovely on the skin and blends in on bare skin easily with fingers. You only need a tiny amount for a big colour pay off. Over foundation it’s better to dab rather than rub. I think this blush suits someone who prefers to wear less makeup or not a heavy face of makeup. My mum also sampled it and really enjoyed the texture and would probably be interested in another shade. However for me I rarely go barefaced and usually prefer a powder or cream product. I would recommend to people depending on how they like to do their makeup and what sort of products they enjoy. The skin care benefits in the blush don’t bother me either way as that is not my main concern when finding a blush I enjoy

It was easy to use, just apply and blend with your fingers or a brush. I did find that I had to blend it out quite fast as it does dry down quite quickly. It says it’s a dewy finish but on my dry skin I found it more on the matte side. I initially thought that the tube was small but it’s very pigmented so a little goes a long way. I would recommend this product for anyone who wants a quick and easy blush to apply, I just wish they would come out with more shades!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Heather M. from Comfortable to wear, pigmented, but short-lived [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a review for the Revlon Illuminance Serum Blush in the shade, Striking Rose, after having tested it for a week. I have a medium skin tone and was initially put off by the fuschia pink colour of Striking Rose, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the liquid blush appeared much more muted on the cheeks once you blend it out with your fingers, or beauty blender. The colour was very pigmented and the serum blush texture (hybrid cream/gel-like) made it quite comfortable to wear. It glided smoothly onto the skin and is a lightweight formula that would be suitable for both dry and combination skin. A little goes a long way with this product - the colour packs a punch and I would only apply the product sparingly. The drawback for this product is that it tends to fade relatively quickly compared to other longer-lasting options in the market. The colour diminishes after 1-2 hours of wear and requires retouching to maintain the initial colour impact. For this reason, I would recommend this blush for those going for a casual, lowkey makeup look, or as WFH makeup. I would opt for a cream or powder blush for something that would last throughout the day. Overall, I liked the product. It was pigmented, easy to apply and comfortable to wear. However, the colour faded after 1-2 hours of wear, and it didn't have the lasting power that I was hoping for, especially when the initial colour payoff was so great.

The colour I trialled was a lovely red shade called Striking Rose, I typically use pink toned blush. The colour was nice on me but would look amazing on someone with a deeper skin tone. It was easy to apply, I squeezed some onto the back of my hand then collect some product with my beauty blender then dab onto my cheeks, I also tried applying with my fingers which worked well. Pigment is good, definitely buildable especially when applied with fingers. It applied well and didn’t lift of any foundation. Squeezy tube packaging is great. Would I recommend to friends? Sure, but I would recommend others first.

There is a hint of ultra-fine shimmer in there that would look lovely in the sun. Applied with fingertips it builds smoothly and evenly, even over texture. As a person with fair olive skin, I found that once blended out, the colour pay-off wasn't as high as what I'd like. I needed to use a fair amount of the product to build up to something more visible. This was unfortunate as it's quite a small tube to start with. Lovely for a sheer flush, but perhaps more suited to those with very fair and clear skin looking for a 'barely there' natural look.

I like this product, I don't love it. What I do like is that it is gentle and hydrating on the skin (even on my sensitive skin), and gives a nice sheer glow to the cheeks without being sparkly or glittery. It was also super easy to blend - I just used my fingertips. Would be good for "no make up, make up" days. What I don't like about this blush was it didn't last very long before seeming to disappear on my cheeks - I got maybe 5 or 6 hours out of it before I felt I had to reapply. I also couldn't seem to build up the intensity of the colour. Perhaps this is because I am used to using thicker blushes or powder blush. Perhaps I will play with the product some more and set it with a powder blush - I didn't do this the first few uses as I didn't want to lose the glowiness. I would recommend this to people depending on the price point. It is a nice blush that is easy to use.

I was lucky to receive this Revlon Illuminance Gel Serun Blush in "Enchanted Mauve" as a part of the "Review Crew" I love blush, and adore any cream, gel, serum, or liqud blush. I use both powder and liquid blush on most days, layering a liquid/cream/gel/serum blush over a powder blush to add colour to the skin while still giving a glowy, natural "skin-like" texture. The Revlon Illuminance Gel Serum Blush has a lovely texture to apply to the skin. It really does feel a lot like a serum; it is smooth and silky. Application is easy on bare skin, or on top of other "wet" (not powder) products. However I did come across a few issues when applying on top of foundation. I use a foundation that sets down matte shortly after applying and blending, and when trying to apply this blush as directed (with my fingers) it would remove the foundation underneath - even when using only tapping motions, not swiping motions. I tried a few different times, trying to apply quickly after foundation and it still had this effect. I tried to apply with a brush, and I found this to be much better. It applied without removing product underneath. Additionally, applying on top of powder is a no-go. It removes all product underneath, and looks patchy. I tried with a brush and with my fingers to apply in this way as well. For me, that makes this blush not one I would wear. I need to mattify my foundation as I have oily skin and work in a hot environment, and I use liquid/cream/gel blush to add some glow back into this matte skin on my cheeks, so not being able to do this doesn't work for me. As for the colour - it was very pretty, perhaps a bit too glittery. I prefer a glow rather than a shimmer. It is also not super strongly pigmented - I like a bold blush, or at least one I can build colour with, and this blush was not either. For somebody who doesn't wear much makeup, or does not powder their skin, or wants a blush that looks very natural, I can imagine this product would be a winner! It does apply very nicely on bare skin, so for a no-makeup-makeup look it would be beautiful and natural. For me - I'm not going to use this in the future. It takes too much work for too subtle of a result! I was tempted to rate 3 stars beause it is not a bad product, just not suitable for me, but decided to go with 2 stars when considering how I use blush and how much I liked it for myself.

Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the blush. I usually use a powder blush but was still excited to try a cream instead. I trialed shade 110 Enchanting Mauve. The serum blush was nice enough to apply and glides on well but unfortunately it blends to almost nothing and was near pointless applying. It gave a very subtle dash of colour to my cheeks but hardly noticeable. You would need a lot of product to actually make much of a difference and for that reason I would not purchase this blush again and can not really recommend it either.

I love revlon products but this blush just wasn't what I expected. From the packaging it seemed a bit boring and bland just a grey plastic tube compared to some of the other Revlon packaging which is quite luxe. Before use I read up on the product to see its benefits and how it stands out from other blushes which I was surprised with. It contains Superfood Complex + Glycerin which is supposed to instantly hydrate the skin and retain moisture. The ingredients are super really good for your skin and that's why my skin did not break out using this product. The application itself was very easy, it's lightweight formula makes it so simple to blend into the skin and even on top of makeup. In terms of the pigment, it just did not exceed my expectations. I use my finger to apply my cream/liquid/gel blushes to ensure it blends seamlessly into my skin but I got more pigment on my finger than on my cheeks. I tried with a makeup brush but had the same issue. The colour I received was striking rose which was also not the best choice I realised. I have a brown coloured skin tone and it did not match my skin at all. All in all, great ingredients and formula but the pigment was lacking.
