General Information

Swisse Blemish Remedy Fast Acting Drying Lotion is a targeted, triple-action anti-acne treatment designed to provide rapid breakout relief and help clear the skin. It is expertly formulated with active levels of sulfur, salicylic acid, and zinc oxide to tackle stubborn acne spots, minimise redness, and prevent new breakouts by gently exfoliating the skin and unclogging pores. Co-developed with a dermatologist, it can be used on the face, chest or back to target even difficult breakouts.

Suitable For: All skin types, including acne prone.

Directions

DO NOT SHAKE PRODUCT.
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1. Ensure sediment is fully settled at the bottom of the vial.
Step 2. Dip a cotton bud inside the vial and coat the tip with a small amount of sediment. 
Step 3. Apply directly onto blemishes. Do not rinse. Can be used on face, back and/or chest. Avoid eye and lip area. Can be left on overnight.

This product comes in a glass bottle / jar. It’s quite little and cute looking. The product separates into two, a pink and thicker solution down the bottom and a watery solution on the top. The product works on drying out pimples that have come out but not for pimples that are under the skin. Usually my pimples that are under the skin are really big, red and swollen looking so it doesn’t do anything for that. It also stings if the pimple has slightly popped by itself so that was a little painful. The pink solution also stays on my skin so it leaves a residue so best not to apply this on your face before you head out the door. Overall, it works for some pimples and it does help to dry the big and raw pimples.

It did help reduce redness and size of my pimple. It has a strong chemical smell and is bright pink. It is a bit messy to use and the consistency is odd. I think if it came in a dropper or as a cream it would be more efficient.

Sulphur and zinc help to reduce inflammation, redness and spots related to acne. The lotion goes on quite wet and dries quickly, leaving the spot well covered while the ingredients work their magic. The smell may be a little off putting to some, but worth the minimisation of acne appearance. Used as a spot treatment on 1 or 2 hormonal spots, I found it to help reduce redness, severity and healing time of the spots I covered. I have used a similar product from other brands in the past, and it’s great that there is finally an affordable and accessible alternative on the market. I didn’t notice much difference in quality compared to other brands, but the product wasn’t as fast acting as others. I saw a difference in the size and inflammation of the breakouts during the week, but not overnight. I would still recommend picking this up when you can, as other people’s skin may react differently!

It is targeted blemish relief, helping to relieve and remove blemishes as they appear. I wish the packet didn't suggest cotton buds as I like to avoid single-use products, but I was able to use it really effectively with my reusable silicon beauty swab instead. You do have to make sure that the product is settled in its jar before applying, so it wouldn't work great if it's sitting in your beauty bag and getting knocked about. It applies easily and dries really quickly. It dries a pale pink and doesn't smudge onto pillows while sleeping with the product overnight. I have used a competitor product in the past and always been happy with the results so never really had a reason to try anything else. I was sent the Swisse product and am really happy with the results. It definitely minimises the size of breakouts and helps to reduce redness. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently my skin has been playing up, I have been travelling and took this with me as I tend to breakout when not in my regular routine. I popped it on a few deep breakouts overnight after cleansing my skin and the next day I am able to extract. The results are there overnight which is great. In the past, there have been lots of creams, lotions, etc claiming to quickly and visibly reduce your pimples but none have worked as well as this product. To start off with, rather than being a squeezy tube of something you would dab on your face, this product is in a small glass bottle filled with liquid and a pinkish sediment sitting at the bottom. The instructions state to ensure the sediment is resting at the bottom before using, and you then insert a cotton tip through the liquid and coat the tip in the sediment below. When you remove, the tip is covered in a pinkish substance that you then dab over the blemishes you're wanting to reduce. I did this before bed and left it on overnight and found everything had visibly reduced and was less red by morning. Easy to use and does exactly what you want it to! Disclaimer - I received this product from SWISSE to review but these are my honest thoughts.

And I would say it does live up to its claims. Although it is easy to apply and was effective on pimples, I did not like the smell. I would also like to try it on deeper pimples to see the effect, but as I have not had this product long, I will need to wait and see if it is also effective on those. I was looking for a good pimple solution and I'm glad I found this! I usually apply this before bed, wait for it to dry and wash it off in the morning and it works quite well. The smell isn't super strong, and it doesn't leave stains on my pillow. The redness on my active pimples have been reduced and most of the time it makes the pimple go away in a few days - very happy with this product. The top does get a but messy though. This product is well named as a blemish remedy! It has a slight fragrance and comes in a small discreet bottle which won’t take up all the space in your bathroom cabinet. A little dab of the product goes a long way, I can see this lasting a while for me. It dried quickly and didn’t feel heavy on my skin. I believe it reduced the size and redness of my pimples, and my blemishes were gone within a couple of days! I don’t know how well it would go with a whole canvas of blemishes, but for small ones, it does seem to work! I received this product from SWISSE to review.

I noticed reduced redness and that the pain reduced quite quickly! I didnt notice any negative effects on my sensitive skin and used it in combination with my other skin products no problems. This isnt anything new, reminds me of the original Mario B version however i think this is better! It dries out the pimple but not my skin. and i like how after application it creates a seal in comparison to the Mario version that goes powdery after application which means you cant touch it afterwards. This is much more well thought out so i could apply to my back and once dry to touch i can sleep on it and not worry. After the next day i can see a difference in my pimple having been reduced

I am glad I was able to give this product a go. Although results were not overnight for me, the pimples I used this remedy on cleared up significantly faster than those I did not. It was easy to use, and although the initial scent was strong - did not continue to smell or feel uncomfortable on the skin.

Usually, I get irritated with bumpy skin and uneven texture in pimple-affected regions, so after using Swisse's lotion, I found that the matte finish assists with clearing my skin and reducing the onset of new breakouts. I think the sulfur odour could be reduced as it was quite overpowering and the colour of the lotion could be adjusted for different skin tones. Overall, I found the application of the lotion and its benefits satisfying.

This blemish treatment lotion is very easy to use. The liquid texture is light and clear which I can easily use a cotton tip to apply to the spots, without leaving a strong smell nor a visible trace. It does help to dry my acne spots and reduce redness after a few days. I will continue to use it in future.

I used this on a number of irritated blemishes on my back before bed. By the next morning all these blemishes were dried, healed and reduced in redness. By no means was the skin completely clear, but the blemishes had all significantly reduced in size and redness, I was pleasantly surprised! I would definitely recommend this product to others, especially anyone struggling with big blemishes that require quick healing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use! This product was surprising if I’m honest. Firstly it’s such a cool concept in the fact that it feels like a pimple patch but applied wet and dries on your skin. It effectively covers the pimple and provides relief I would say fairly quickly. It’s easy to sleep with once dried and doesn’t get everywhere. I wouldn’t say it’s immediately effective on pimples that have an open wound or are scanned over a bit. My main critique is the instructions on the package actually. Ut tells you clearly how to apply and how long to leave on for but it doesn’t tell you how you are meant to remove it when you need to so even though it says don’t wash off, well I had to because otherwise it would have been pink and crumbly on my skin under my makeup after sleeping in it. But overall I feel like it is exactly like a pimple patch but perhaps a bit more effective as it calms the skin as well.

I’ve used their vitamins for years and never tried skincare until now. I have very dry skin with the occasional blemish and found the redness overall reduced significantly. My partner suffers from acne prone skin and also saw a real reduction in redness using this product. The product is light with a super fresh scent.

I recall the ones I've tried smelt like sulfur and alcohol. Upon opening. The inside looks the same. I read the ingredients and it looks good. It smells nice. Simply clean, moisturize and pop this on. I left it on overnight and it drew up a deep pimple on my brow which has been annoying me for ages. I extracted it and applied again. The pimple healed so quickly. Overall I liked it but what turns me off from using it often unless necessary is the sulfur smell. I could smell it on my face even after washing the next day!
