General Information

Swisse Skincare Salicylic Acid Daily Balance Cleansing Gel is a low-foaming, non-stripping cleanser that helps to gently remove impurities, makeup, and excess sebum. Co-developed with a dermatologist, it is scientifically formulated with salicylic acid and zinc sulfate to reduce the appearance of blackheads, refine pores, and keep acne under control. Skin is left feeling clean and refreshed. Suitable for everyday use and all skin types, including acne prone.

I was concerned that it might dry my skin out with the salicylic acid but it didn’t at all. Overall my skin is brighter and texture has improved and have received complements on my skin!

My skin used to feel so dry after cleansing but this cleanser makes my skin feel the cleanest it's ever been while also keep it supple and moisturized. Could not recommend this product enough

I feel that some cleansers leave an oily residue or really dry out my skin but this cleanser ticks all my boxes! I love that it has salicylic acid for my pores and zinc sulfate to help remove build up. The bottle is great, I love that it is a pump which makes it so much easier to use!

My skin is combo and more on the dry side, it does often suffer breakouts and is quite sensitive aswell. Straight off the bat this product doesn’t have much of a scent which was a big tick. It didn’t irritate my skin at all. It foams up beautifully and I found it removed most of my makeup aswell. I haven’t found my skin had any major breakouts while using this product either which is a massive win! I will definitely be re purchasing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main thing I look for in a cleanser is feeling clean, without makeup/dirt/etc, without feeling stripped! And I can confirm, the Salicylic Acid Daily Balance Cleansing Gel does just that! Balance is true - I suffer from hormonal breakouts and more recently, dry patches, and this has kept the acne at bay and not further dried out my skin. I enjoy the gel texture and the pump bottle (hate having to unscrew a lid and put it back on). I feel refreshed, clean, balanced - OH and as a bonus, it smells soooo good! Like a day spa, which makes me feel happy and relaxed in my morning routine! I also reccomend pairing with the B3 moisturiser - they've been working a treat together!

I found it perfect to remove my makeup and I only needed 1 pump to lather it and remove all my makeup off including mascara which tends to be a little difficult sometimes. I haven’t noticed much of a difference in terms of pore appearance or prevention of breakouts, however it does leave my skin feeling refreshed and clean. I tend to dislike fragrance, however the scent wasn’t too bad and it wasn’t overpowering. I’ve only been using this cleanser for a few weeks now, but I’ll be trialing it for longer as I’d like to see more results as I’m looking to improve breakouts and blemishes.

It has a lovely clean cucumber like scent reminding me of a spa. It is a very lightweight moistiser which has its pros and cons. I like that it absorbs quickly but i tend to like more heavy hydrating creams. So sometimes i will apply it twice to double layer. I havent noticed a big difference or change in my skin for blemishes. However, i have noticed less pimple outbreaks since using this product.

I have seen no breakouts since using this product and have not had any issues with feeling dry or washed out after using. The packaging is nice with an easy use pump action bottle. No overbearing fragrance which is a preferred option for me. It’s not A product that foams particularly which is usually something I look for. I would recommend this product and would wait for it to go on sale before purchasing again.

It really helped control and reduce acne breakouts. The gel has a nice texture that lathers up well, making it easy to apply. It's great to use in the morning and night, especially when removing any excess makeup left in my skin. Not too fond of the smell but wouldn't deter me from using it. I did find my skin occasionally become sensitive to it however it only lasted for a few minutes. Definitely recommend this product if you are wanting something simple and effective.

I didn’t mind the scent, however found it to be a little bit strong. I only get breakouts, so can’t really comment on how effective it is at managing acne. It is however a really good cleanser overall, even if you don’t have acne-prone skin. It wasn’t drying in any way and my skin felt good after using it. I’d be happy to recommend this product.

I mostly use cleansing gel to remove eye makeup and mascara. This cleansing gel would remove my makeup in one wash of my face whilst still being gentle. The bottle is a pump that comes with a clip to lock it so i can take it with me when I travel which is a huge plus. While I do like the product I was a little surprised by the price point.

It has made my skin feel very soft & supple. It has not broken me out at all which some new products I find usually do. The only downside to this product for myself is the texture is quite different to what I would normally use, especially to remove my makeup in the shower, but I am now used to the texture and it’s fine! I will keep using it until it’s finish, been loving the effects

It’s lightly fragranced but the smell isn't offensive, and it only lasts while you're actively cleansing. I'm not sure it has necessarily helped my acne any, while my breakouts come to a head faster, I am still consistently breaking out. Overall, it’s a nice, gentle cleanser that I think would be a really good option for someone starting out on their clear skin journey.
