General Information

Swisse Skincare Salicylic Acid Daily Balance Cleansing Gel is a low-foaming, non-stripping cleanser that helps to gently remove impurities, makeup, and excess sebum. Co-developed with a dermatologist, it is scientifically formulated with salicylic acid and zinc sulfate to reduce the appearance of blackheads, refine pores, and keep acne under control. Skin is left feeling clean and refreshed. Suitable for everyday use and all skin types, including acne prone.

Ingredients

Directions

For optimal results, apply 1-2 pumps to the face avoiding the eyes and lips. Massage and rinse thoroughly. Suitable for day and evening use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good cleansing gel for morning [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked this cleansing gel for morning and for days where I have been mainly indoors and not doing much. However, I prefer a more heavy duty cleanser for if I had a long day at work and feel a lot of grease on my face. Otherwise, this is great also to use with a double cleansing regime with like an oil based cleanser. The fragrance can be a little strong however I was pleased to find that this did not affect my sensitive skin adversely at all. I think this cleanser is actually quite refreshing to use and it gives me a good clean.

It definitely helped fight away blemishes and impurities with salicylic acid whilst soothing my skin. I like that it is low to no foaming, doesn’t strip my skin and keeps it clean without drying it out. This product has a nice, refreshing smell that makes cleansing feel like a spa day. I used the cleanser twice daily and followed with the Ceramide B3 moisturiser. I recommend this cleansing gel if you’re looking for gentle exfoliation that is effective.

The gel is a pale green in colour and lightly scented. I tend to have an oily t-zone so focussed using the cleanser on this area. I found that my skin was less oily while using this cleanser. It wasn't too drying to my skin.

Looks great in my bathroom. Also like how it had a plastic shower to prevent the product being accidentally pumps. Upon opening, the fragrance was not quite my preference, I prefer a product with less fragrance as sometimes this can cause issues with sensitivity. The amount pumped with one push was not quite adequate for me so I used two pumps. I love that it was a pump bottle and not a screw top or squeeze bottle. Very handy to use. On application it cleaned my skin without stripping it of moisture. No breakouts were experienced while I was using this product.

I've already noticed I have smaller pores and it has diminished the appearance of my adult acne as well. The salicylic acid and zinc sulfate have been very effective in giving my skin these results, and it also made me look a bit younger and left my skin feeling smoother. A really good and affordable cleanser that I'll definitely purchase again! Ideal to use morning and night.

I find Swisse to be one of the best drug store skin care products on the market. The Salicylic Acid cleansing gel effectively cleaned my skin and easily washed away all my makeup! I found it easy to use and a little goes a long way. I didn't find it drying and it left my skin looking and feeling fresh and smooth! I definitely noticed a difference on my skin using it for 2 weeks every morning and night. I get a few breakouts occasionally and this product kept my skin blemishes free which was the best feature!

Most importantly, less pimples and blemishes. Skin feels clean without dryness. My skin pores are less visible than before. I need very small amount to clean whole face throughly. Smells pleasant and doesn't maKe foam like soap. Skin is so fresh after every use and last full day without getting oily. I will definately reccommend to my friends.

The gel has a light and fresh fragrance and feels very gentle on the skin. It doesn't really foam but I use it twice when it comes to cleansing my face day and night and have not experienced any tightness. I love that it claims to remove impurities, make-up and balances sebum levels. My skin as of late has experienced a few pimples so knowing this gel helps to combat that helps too. My face feels cleaned and refreshed after using it. Overall, I haven't really noticed any significant changes to my skin since using this and feel it's a good product but likely not to pay good money for it when there are other cleansers on the market that do the same job of cleaning the face.

It doesn’t feel like a usual cleanser and doesn’t foam up, but it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and clean, without feeling stripped. The only downside would be the scent, it’s not too pleasant but thankfully doesn’t stick around once you wash it off.

It gave me a decent clean without stripping my skin or leaving me feeling dry. I often get irritated by gel cleansers and this one was quite kind to my skin. Although it does a good job at cleansing I really found the scent of this product quite strong and off putting - it literally smells like windex or some cleaning product. If it weren't for the smell, I think I would have enjoyed this product a lot more. Despite disliking the fragrance, it didn't irritate my skin.

I will continue to use this cleanser, especially over Summer when my skin tends to be more oily. A little goes a long way & the packaging makes it easy to dispense and use. I wear makeup every day and exercise often. I tried this product every day for a few weeks and found it to be a very gentle cleanser, perfect for every day use. I found that it removed impurities, makeup and any grime from the day and made my skin feel fresh and clean. I was worried my skin would feel 'stripped' and dry but it didn't at all. I have been looking for a cleanser such as this. The only thing I didn't live was the scent - it wasn't terrible but not my favourite. The packaging was nice and modern and easy to use.

My skin is usually normal to combination, but it tends to change with the seasons. Lately, I have noticed that my skin looks dull and breaks out more often. Fortunately, the Salicylic acid cleanser has significantly improved my breakouts and helped balance my skin. I highly recommend the entire range.

The benefits and how it helped my skin was quite surprising. The pump was fantastic and squirts out the right amount. Not a fan of the smell as it was quite strong and would prefer a light smelling product or none at all. The feel of it on your face is nice and soft but would feel better if it wasn’t as heavy gel. Overall I was pleasantly impressed by the product.

However, I personally didn’t like the smell or texture that much cause it kinda feels like you’re using hair gel on your face (although it isn’t that sticky). It is good when you’re just using it to remove access dirt on your skin, cause it doesn’t leave any product, so in that sense it does the job.

What I don’t like about it is the fragrance which is meant to be like an aloe Vera/cucumber type smell but it smells a bit cheap. Also the thickening agent and colouring they have put to achieve a green thick gel are unnecessary and makemme Feel like they put more effort into the look of their product rather than the efficacy of their ingredients. Did not see a difference in my skin sadly.
