General Information

Swisse Skincare Salicylic Acid Daily Balance Cleansing Gel is a low-foaming, non-stripping cleanser that helps to gently remove impurities, makeup, and excess sebum. Co-developed with a dermatologist, it is scientifically formulated with salicylic acid and zinc sulfate to reduce the appearance of blackheads, refine pores, and keep acne under control. Skin is left feeling clean and refreshed. Suitable for everyday use and all skin types, including acne prone.

I have used plenty of cleansers in my time and this has to be up there with my high end ones. The smell is amazing and using this for make up removing is amazing. It stripped away every bit of make up on my skin without having to use any product before to take of my makeup. After using the cleanser my face felt fresh, clean and hydrated whereas some cleansers strip so much oil away from my face it’s a horrible feeling. I have really bad acne scaring on my chin and realised a significant difference in the appearance of them blemishes. I have already purchased another top up for myself and got my sister into it! This product was given as an incentive.

I like using salicylic acid in my skincare routine as it really helps with reducing breakouts. This product is great as it is gentle enough to use every day. I started by incorporating it into my routine slowly to avoid any irritation. I have noticed far less breakouts and I also like that it does not strip my skin or cause it to feel dry or tight. It also does a decent job at removing make up. I find myself reaching for this cleanser over others, I have had a pleasant experience. I will continue to repurchase and use this in combination with the Ceramides B3 daily balance moisturiser.

I’ve been using this for weeks now, and it’s made such a big difference to my skin! It’s a great gentle cleanser that removes everything! It has really helped to keep my breakouts minimal, and these have been much less frequent than usual. My skin texture is also much better than it used to be! I’ve really seen a huge difference, and my skin is always clean and refreshed after. As a busy mum, this is a super easy product to use when I’m time poor! I am loving this product!

It comes in a pump bottle which makes usage easy to pump into your hands. The cleansing gel has a nice and fresh scent that doesn’t smell overly artificial. I’ll first start with the packaging, it’s sleek and I love how you have a stopper to allow the product to be closed. The information on the bottle is informative enough for you to make the decision if this could be right for you. The smell of this product is really good- I’m not one who loves strong fragrance and this is just enough, it smells clean and fresh. I will say a small amount goes a long way meaning it’ll last you for awhile. It lathers well and doesn’t hurt the eyes. I used this every other day along with my 1% retinol and have found a difference in my skin. It hasn’t dried out my skin and made it irritable. I’m very surprised by swisse skin care! I would re purchase. This review is of my own opinions, I was given this product to trial.

I have been using this cleansing gel and I have seen massive improvements to the point where I finally feel confident enough to go make up free. The past products I have used have really dried out my skin, but I felt like this still retained the moisture in my skin and it didn’t make it feel like crepe paper. Highly recommend this to anyone that is acne prone as you will definitely see improvements.

I get hormonal breakouts mainly around my chin and this month I have noticed a lot less bumps and inflammation on my skin! I love trying anything with Salicylic Acid and I think my journey to finding my favourite cleanser is now over - I've found it! As someone who has worked in the skincare industry for many years I am impressed with the ingredients and formulation of this cleanser. I have been using the Salicylic Acid Daily Balance Cleansing Gel daily for four weeks now and it has helped my skin significantly, I especially love the key actives included in this cleanser which are salicylic acid and zinc sulfate. I have struggled with breakouts for many years and have tried many products high end and low end and this product is truely working for me and my skin. My breakouts have reduced significantly and the pores on and around my nose have shrunk drastically without drying my skin out. I use two pumps daily in the evening and it leaves my skin feeling clean refreshed and hydrated. I recommend this cleanser to anyone who are prone to breakouts and pores. I received this product to trial and review and I will definitely be purchasing once this bottle has been used.

Once I got this product he started using it too and will be buying it again, he has really bad blackheads on his nose and cheeks and they have significantly reduced. I also get blackheads on my chin and have found that I barely have any anymore. I find this is gentle on my skin and doesn’t strip the natural oils.

I have sensitive skin and do laser and microneedling on my face. Initially the face wash did make my skin kind of tingly and super dry, but the cream balances it out so well and returns the moisture back into my face. I also felt that my skin had visibly gotten clearer and brighter. It’s also prevented a breakout so far. I love the smell, the texture and the way it makes my skin feel so clean after.

Let me prefix that I have quite sensitive and prone to clogged pores skin and am quite careful with the products I use. The cleaner is very gentle with he’ll like consistency. There is very light fragrance, it doesn’t foam and leave the skin feeling clean but not overly stripped. I find that it takes away light makeup and sunscreen quite well but for heavier makeup I would suggest doing a double cleanse. Overall I am quite happy with the product and will continue using it in rotation with the rest of my skin care routine.
