General Information

I purchased this product for my daughter to try as she also has very fine hair. She actually used the products on the day she went for her wedding hair trial and loved the results. Even days later she kept being asked if she had extensions in as her hair looked so much thicker. I also use the spray on in between hair wash days - I spray it in and then blow dry which gives my hair a lift and keeps the fullness. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping This In my Hair Product Rotation [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So easy to use this -after washing my hair with matching shampoo and conditioner, this spray leave in product gets sprayed all through the hair - especially the roots and lengths. Then I let it air dry as I normally do (my hair dries naturally fast). When it's nearly dried I add a teensy amount of detangler product to my ends and lengths as I need to when using this Profiller range. My hair keeps it's tangles unless I do this with my hair. I don't find this range helps with tangles at all, on it's own. This spray is great that it also acts as a heat protectant if I'm going to curl my hair. It's really easy to get the hair tool through my hair as my hair is not laden with heavy product - that is what I'm finding with this hair range. My hair is normally fine,limp and hard to volumise but this range, including this spray, really gives my hair a natural looking volume and thicker appearance - like I've got a high quality salt spray in it or something. Putting the set of this 3-product Profiller range into my hair rotation works best for me - as in, I like to use this two to three times and then use my regular nourishing shampoo and conditioner inbetween - especially at the start when I getting used to how this Profiller range works in my hair. I like that the products are all clear/white so as not to interfere with any hair colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prepping Shampoo For A Thicker Hair Look [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a crystal clear shampoo formula that lathered up well to a rich lather. Even so, it was still easy to rinse out. It helped clean and prep my hair for the next step of this hair thickening treatment by John Frieda. I liked the lovely scent, but of course it washes away when all rinsed out. My hair felt clean and it was easy to shampoo my hair with this product. It was easy to use and didn't leave any colour residue so I expect it would be safe for colour treated hair too. It did feel gentle enough even though it cleansed well. It is not a harsh shampoo so it is good for delicate fine hair like mine. I wouldn't call it a nourishing shampoo but it was gentle, yet thorough. Once this part of the thickening treatment is done, you really do need to follow it up with the matching conditioner and then the matching leave-in spray treatment. These all go together and I don't think one could be used without the other. This is an all-in effort and once it's completed I did find my hair had a different texture compared to it's normally lank and fine texture. My hair had more substance to it. I did find value in using a hair detangling product also - just a tiny bit - to help detangle my hair after using the third (leave in spray) product. My hair naturally gets very tangly and this shampoo did not help it detangle at all - and nor does it promise to. So if you have naturally tangly hair like mine, when using this John Frieda set of hair products, have your hair detangler (I like to use a tiny bit of detangling oil on my ends and lengths - a very tiny bit).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does its job well. I have to admit, I was sceptical when I read that the John Frieda Thickening Spray promises fuller and thicker hair, because how would that be possible? I knew I had a week ahead of me where I had to have properly styled hair and I decided to put the spray to the test. When I used heating tools, (hair dryer and a curling iron), then I used the spray as a heat protectant. It has a nice scent but unfortunately, it leaves hair a bit tangled, so I had to brush it a lot so it wouldn't look messy. After I had styled my hair, it actually did look thicker and fuller! And it lasted the whole day (I didn't use a hairspray afterwards). I would definitely recommend the spray to people with short hair who wouldn't struggle with combing out the knots after using it.

People commented that my hair was looking healthier. I used the product without the Shampoo and Conditioner too, and was still happy with the way it gave my hair a boost. I feel like like if my hair was shorter/had more layers that the results would be even better.

I used this in conjunction with the Thickening Conditioner. The thickness of the shampoo is really nice and the scent is very subtle, which I like. After the first use of this, the Conditioner and the Thickening Spray and found that after blowdrying, my hair looked noticeably thicker and fully.

I really like the smell of these products from John Freida. It’s easy to use by just spritzing on towel dried hair and making sure it’s evenly spread. Helps to keep that lovely fragrance of the products locked in and makes hair feel really hydrated. My hair used to always feel lifeless, and dry. Now after using the spray, it has some life to it and doesn’t feel as dried out…even days after using it!

I’m sure this is a great shampoo. I would assume it’s like the conditioner, smells so nice like you’ve just left the salon. All of these products actually feel really silky and smooth and I’d recommend this for anyone really. In terms of thickening, I can’t say that my hair feels or is thicker, perhaps a little fuller, but i did notice there was less loss of hair.

I'd say though, don't expect miracles but it is a solid performer. Works even better when combined with existing hairdryer and roller routine. I felt it kept my hair looking like it had more volume for longer. Spray is easy to use, it has a very light scent and doesn't weigh the hair down. Doesn't help for flyaways but does help with volume. Love how it also has heat protectant as well, so I can use this with added benefit of extra volume.

I’ve tried many hair masks, sprays and thickening products and am yet to find my holy grail. The John Frieda PROFiller+ range boasts "200% thicker hair". Now I’ve only used this a handful of times so I don’t know if this is a progressive thing but I haven’t noticed particularly thicker hair. But what I can say is my hair has never looked healthier! It feels amazing!! So silky smooth and has a beautiful shine that doesn’t look oily. You’re supposed to generously spray this on towel dried hair for the thickening effect. I find that re-applying throughout the week (in the morning when styling your hair) has made the most difference. It builds up beautifully and doesn’t make your hair look like it’ll snap off because of all the built-up product. Although my thicker hair goals haven’t been achieved with this spray…yet… I do love whatever it is doing to my hair!

I tried this product along with the shampoo and conditioner. as per the instruction it suggests to use on towel dry hair and to cover the hair and roots. Because i have thin and oily, it is very hard to keep the hair looking bouncy. I am glad this spray really worked for me. Though i use very low hear setting on my Dyson hair dryer to avoid any hair damage. Hair felt soft and bouncy for whole day. Overall it is a nice product to try.

The shampoo is quite nice, it does have a strong fragrance. people who are sensitive to fragrance might not like it. I usually take a oil message before i wash my hair. mostly i mix warm clarified butter with coconut oil. With most shampoos i have to apply twice to get the get rid of the oil. But with this shampoo it was quite easy in one wash. I also wanted to check how it performs without the oil message and it did feel little dry but i must say hair felt bit bouncy. I would not recommend this for who have dry hair, as this might feel bit drying after wash.

Contains biotin and hyaluronic acid, a special spray for me because it made my hair looks thicker and feels great. Easy to comb and to maintain as well. The product contain biotin which is good for hair growth. And it should be used for people looking to find best solution for their thinning hair. I like blow drying my hair 2-3 x a week, this is a perfect product that make me happy with the end result. Pair with their same range, shampoo & conditioner, it’s perfect!

Although the scent/ fragrant is not too strong, but I love how much bubble produced and so easy to apply to my hair. The biotin is one of the selling point & i hope the more/ longer I used the shampoo will have a better result. The end result is great, i can see & feel my hair looks thicker and not looks flat/ damp. It’s just boosting my hair thickness amazingly! I would recommend it for anyone looking for a shampoo with boosting effect.

I enjoyed using these products and definitely found that my hair was volumised. I didn't notice that my hair was thicker in itself, and it was a little more frizzy and quite fluffy, but i did find that there was an increase in size of my bun when I put my hair up. I would like to see how my hair goes with continuous use, if the frizziness settles down. I found the packaging great for use in the shower, the shampoo and conditioner a nice thick consistency and the spray in particular had a very nice smell. A great new product I am grateful to beauty heaven for allowing me to trial. Definitely something for us fine haired ladies to look into to boost our hair volume.

It smells fresh and doesn't really weigh down your hair. I suggest spraying this immediately after you finish washing your hair and definitely spray on damp hair. Towled-dried hair is great as well. What I have done to ensure that all product is coated around my hair is I have sprayed the product onto my palms, rubbed my hands together and brushed the product through using my fingers, I repeat the process 1 -3 times as I have fairly long hair.

I use this spray both with the shampoo and condition for just over 2 weeks. But I also use this spray on my nights off from washing and I find it really helps with that fuller and thicker appearance. I even use this on my daughter and it gives her hair more volume and life. It has a really pleasant scent to it, not to heavy either. I can easily use this before styling my hair and my hair looks like it has alot more body to it. Only fault I can think of is my hair does feel drier. This is still great for anyone looking for a quick fix for fuller hair.

As the recommendatiom is to blowdry as the last step, I felt I could not give this product five stars as realistically, I'm not going to blow dry my hair very often, more likely 3 or 4 times a year, and it doesn't make sense for me to have a product specifically designed to protect hair from heat and also provide thickness. That being said, this product definitely works with the shampoo and conditioner to provide an instant boost in volume and body. For those who do prefer to style their hair with heat, I'm sure the heat protectant factor will be an added bonus. The thickening spray has a slight scent, but not an offensive one, more akin to a natural moisturiser or other pleasant, unisex product. I have wavey hair and the products working together also helped my hair to maintain definition, which I was surprised by and happy with. The price for this product is reasonable, and I would definitely consider purchasing again.

The included hyaluronic acid helps to hydrate the hair and leaves it soft, healthy and manageable. The John Freida PROfiller+ shampoo is easily accesible and affordable. I would recommend the shampoo to anyone with fine hair or anyone who wants more volume.

I have fine hair and always want to have more beautiful and thicker hair. I’ve been blown away by the results after just one use. After using this product my hair appears and feel thicker, fuller and stronger. When styling I can really see big improvement my hair. It is filled and holds its style for longer.This thickening spray comes in 150ml easy to spray bottle. I sprayed this evenly on to the damp hair working through one section at a time and then blow dry as usual. It has nice smell not over powering. The texture is watery and easy to apply. This thickening spray lifts flat strands from the roots to deliver noticeably fuller, natural-looking volume and thickness. So far I am happy with this product and love to recommend any one who want to added volume to the fine hair.

I felt the roots of my hair had a bit more volume and the product wasn't heavy on my fine hair. I also have dry hair and this shampoo was a tad too drying, after shampooing my hair was a bit squeaky and lacking any good hydration. Product smells good, not overpowering, just a nice clean body wash type scent. I think this would work for thin and normal hair types, but perhaps not for hair types that need added hydration. Packaging was convenient, product is quite thick so easy to work into the roots of your hair and washes out easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thickening for fine hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have fine hair and I am always looking for ways for my hair to feel fuller and thicker. My ends are particularly dry due to colouring so I try to find something that doesn't make this worse. And my scalp is a little flakey because of the wind and cool weather so I need something that moisturises my scalp without it feeling oily. I enjoyed using this shampoo, it smelled great and left my hair feeling clean. It lathered up wonderfully and felt luxurious. My hair felt thicker without feeling weighed down too much. The only caveat is that I felt like I had to wash my hair more often than usual.
