I am used to creams with a thicker, richer texture, however this cream is - as it says in the title - a more watery consistency which is great for day time and under makeup. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily or heavy like some moisturisers do, it seems to sink in very quickly. Due to this, i didn’t feel as hydrated as with other moisturisers. It is definitely nice if you have slightly oily skin or sensitive skin and don’t want to feel like you have anything in your face!

It’s really moisturising but really thin and a little goes a long way. The smell is faint but fresh. Great for sensitive skin. I would say if you have super dry skin you would use this first and then either layer on more or use another product on top but for my dry skin is worked well. It can make you slightly oily in spots if you have combination skin, I found by the night time I had a bit of a sheen. Really good combo with the cleanser, they go together well!

It worked well with the Cleanser, I did feel my skin become alot less dry. Just more manageable and supple I would say. I have used Cetaphil in the past and have always been happy with it, so this trial was a no brainer for me and will definitely be continuing usage to see a full effect. I would definitely recommend for anyone with dry sensitive skin.

I'd experienced dry, cold, windy weather and my skin was suffering, however this cream gently replenished and hydrated my fairly sensitive skin with ease and no irritation. The water gel texture was interesting, a little goes a long way, initially it felt a bit tacky and sticky but that did not last. It absorbed well and my skin felt better. There was no noticeable visual change or improvement to my skin plumpness through hydration, which I was hoping for considering it contains Hyalauronic acid. There is next to no scent, which is a win for me. I don't like to feel overpowered by too many perfumes and this felt clean and simple in nature. Overall this is a nice, simple product that does what it sets out to do and on a very reasonable budget. Personally, I prefer a cream rather than gel texture, however the results were comparable to other similarly priced cream products. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a straightforward moisturiser that goes a long way and is very lightweight in texture.

I had no issues changing over from my previous moisturiser and found it quite hydrating from my dry skin. The only issue was I had to use quite a bit of product to feel super hydrated. I did enjoy how lightweight the gel was, as often hydrating moisturisers can feel quite heavy on the skin. I will continue to have this in my skincare routine but will still need a moisturising face mask twice per week to overcome my extremely dry skin. I would definitely recommend this to people with sensitive skin that ers on the normal to dry side

I found it made a visible difference to my fine lines. The water gel is cool, lightweight and easily absorbed. I feel like it would be a great moisturiser for summer. It Is very economical as not alot of product is required and can feel tacky for a little while if you apply too much. So the tub should last quite a long time. Its oil free and doesn't block pores or skin so that's always a plus. There's no scent to it so would be great for people with sensitive skin. It's my first time using a water gel and I'm happy with the results so far.

I have dry and dehydrated skin, so hydration is a very important step in my skincare routine. I found that this gel worked really well to hydrate my skin, giving it a very plump feeling and look. I loved using this product as a base for makeup. It gave my skin a good grip for my makeup to stick on to and would help it to last all day without looking dry in any way. I couldn’t identify any smell from the container or when applying it to the skin. When applying this product nightly, it felt like I was applying a gel water mask. The product feels like it was sitting on the face rather than sinking in. By the next morning, I would have to rinse/wash my face thoroughly as I could still feel the product sitting on top of my skin. I don't mind this when wearing makeup since my skin looks dewy and I'll be washing my face at the end of the day anyway. Overall, I would recommend this product.

Upon applying it I can almost feel my skin drinking it. It’s not a heavy cream either, so I haven’t felt like my pores have been clogged up either causing breakouts. I have been using this product daily with Cetaphil’s hydrating cream cleanser and have noticed a big difference in the overall appearance of my skin. It looks much more hydrated and dewy and I can even see a slight reduction in expression lines. It’s very gentle on my sensitive skin with no strong perfume smell.

The jar is a decent size, handy to keep out without taking up much space at all. Being a water gel, the first few uses it was very watery but then seemed to thicken up a little bit as I used more of it over time. There is no fragrance which I was happy with, it felt really nice to apply on. I would only need to dip the top of my finger in and that would be enough product to use over my entire face and neck. It absorbed easily and quickly. Only downside I found was that my skin would feel tacky for a few hours afterwards but then my skin felt really soft and hydrated after that. It didn't look as dry either. So am still happy with the product, will use in the future and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a hydration boost for their skin.

It has helped with my dry and sensitive skin keeping it hydrated. When I wake up in the morning my skin is soft and supple. However I could not get the moisturiser to sit nicely under makeup, there was a bit of pilling. I mainly used it in the evenings and it worked wonderfully. The packaging was okay it would be better if it was in a pump like the cleanser for ease of use and more sanitary. Overall it is a good moisturiser for those with dry and or sensitive skin.

My skin immediately looked and felt plump and hydrated with a super smooth finish after the first time I used it, however I feel that the best results were always visible the morning after application. I have been impressed with so many of the products in the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration range, but this one might just be my favourite because the results are instant and only improve after longer use. The only reason I didn't give this product five stars is because it did make my makeup/sunscreen pill in the morning after applying it. But I've replaced my regular night time cream for this Skin Replenishing Water Gel because there's no denying that it works so well! I'd happily recommend this product to anyone with sensitive and/or combination skin looking for maximum hydration!

My skin is quite dry and I am always in need of a hydrating cream. This moisturiser is packed full of hydration like hyaluronic acid. It comes in a tub where you screw open which does feel a bit unhygienic at times. The cream is white with a blue lid and once you open the lid, it is a clear gel like liquid. There is no scent which is a bonus. It glides on very easily and my skin gobbles it. I wake up and my skin is ultimately hydrated.

If I only use this gel without applying any makeup or SPF it works great but if I added anything on top , it wouldn't absorb and caused other products to pill. The gel is really easy to apply and feels almost like a serum rather than a heavy moisturiser. The formula itself is gentle and feels really nice against the skin, it defiantly feels hydrated and plump after applying. I think this would be great for those with oily skin or acne prone skin to reduce adding extra oils.

It is perfect for any dry skin anywhere. I found it very hydrating and it left my skin feeling really cool and soft. The consistency is a water gel but did leave a slight sticky feeling afterwards which was disappointing. I also wish this gel came in a pump pack as it is easy to get to much product whilst using a tub. I would recommend this hydration water gel for anyone with sensitive and/or dry skin who likes a light gel consistency and to be left with soft skin.

It has a gel-like consistency that goes on smoothly, whilst it's not sticky, I noticed that it doesn't seem to fully penetrate the skin barrier. In the morning, when I wash my face, I feel like there is still a film of the product remaining. In terms of hydration, I guess it does its job on the top layer, but not sure that it penetrates down to the lower layers that probably need the hydration. I did enjoy the opportunity to try this product.

My face feels great once the product is dry, but before it dries my skin does feel a little sticky to touch. I would recommend this product to anyone with dry sensitive skin as it offers so much hydration, while still feeling light on your skin. There is no smell, which means there are no fragrances, this allows for my sensitive skin to feel calmed. I would buy this again as the price is not too expensive. I will buy this again, as it works really well with the Cetaphil foaming cream cleanser, I use these together as a two-step facial routine.

It feels very similar to the discontinued Neutrogena fragrance free water gel, so if you were a fan of that, you will probably love this! I've been using this daily for two weeks, and haven't experienced any skin sensitivity or breakouts (which I am prone to). I did end up using a heavier cream on top of this, as I have dryer skin during the winter months. I tried to go without the extra layer, but found my skin felt dry and tight. This would be a great moisturiser for those with oily skin, or for anyone to use on hot, summer days. I would repurchase as a summer moisturiser, but I don't think it's moisturising enough for me to use during winter.

It's lightweight, not sticky and has a good amount of product. It has a very light scent as well. I did find it to be great in the AM, it did not conflict with any other skincare and also works great before makeup. The only set back for me personally is the packaging. The tub that it comes in is made of glass and is quite heavy so do keep that mind. Overall, this is a pretty decent and affordably-priced moisturiser. I think it would work great in summer/warmer seasons.

The glass jar is my absolute favourite - it feels so premium! I have used this cream for about 3 weeks. At first, I only used it in the evenings after a shower, and it sunk into my skin really quickly. The cream glides on and for me, a little goes a long way. I didn't have any issues with it, no breakouts or oiliness, so I am very happy. After 1 week, I started using it in the morning under my primer and there were varying results. It feels fine under primer, but you really have to let the cream fully dry/sink into your skin before priming or using makeup otherwise it mixes in and cream-ifies the makeup. Some mornings I have no time, so I skip this moisturiser. But if you have time to let it fully dry, it does work well underneath a primer. I would love to see a version with SPF in it, for those makeup-free days!

A small amount goes on smooth, feeling a little heavy at first then seems to melt into the skin. Skin feels instantly hydrated and soft to touch. Minimal scent. I had no trouble applying products (primer and makeup) over the top of this. I especially liked using this before bed and woke without any dryness. Nil irritation to my skin while using it.

The consistency is very different to your typical moisturiser: it is clear, more liquid and almost sticky. Applying it is a bit messy due to the gel being so liquid, but it applies smoothly on the face. At first, it doesn't appear to be hydrating or moisturising, but once it dries a bit, it really is. It is very light, so doesn't leave my face oily at all. My skin feels hydrated and smooth, which is great. Not knowing what to expect initially from this product, I was pleasantly surprised. I think I would recommend it, but I tend to prefer other moisturisers to mix up my skincare routine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have dehydrated combo skin so I found this water gel not hydrating enough for me. However, I did use this on top of my everyday moisturizer and it definitely helped to boost the hydration. The texture is a lightweight gel, very refreshing and absorbed within seconds. It leaves a weightless semi dewy finish. There is no fragrance or essential oils, making it a great option for sensitive skin types. My skin was more on the sensitive side when I tested out this water gel and no once did it leave my skin feeling irritated or red. I can imagine this water gel to work a lot better for those with oily skin types.

I absolutely love the cleanser from the same range so I had high hopes for the cream. As someone who is sensitive to some smells I love that this product has no fragrance. My favourite thing about this product is how the gel cream feels when I apply it to the skin.It's light and cooling and feels amazing. However after application I found it left a tacky residue for some time. I found this gel to not be as hydrating and some gels/creams I have tried. I feel it would suit skin types that aren't overly dry such as myself.

Except a budget friendly dupe. It is a gel, very light weight feeling and it applies very smoothly on the skin and dries quickly. It is a little bit tacky so i used a little bit more than usual, to keep my face moist before putting my make up on. But because of the price, i could definitely justify being a bit heavy handed on the usage. Just like the cleanser, it doesn’t have a smell and it goes on easily. Only down fall is it comes in a jar, which I don’t like because i have to dip my fingers in there and expose all the product to air. (I find my products in jars expire quicker than a sealed bottle). However in a jar, you can use every last bit of product. I would definitely recommend this!

This is my first tym that i am using hydration gel for my face. I wasnt sure about how the product will be. My dry was so dry. So i applied this with fingers and give a gentle massge. I found this produuct as average. The results were no so surprising. You will feel sticky on your face and want to wash your face as soon as possible. Also after washing it like norml. I hvnt feel special touch or glow. So to my perception its average product. May be it will be so good for other skin type. It depends upon skin texture
