Directions

With clean hands, thoroughly cleanse the face and pat dry. Apply lotion and gently massage onto the face & neck, to help hydrate the skin and
reduce breakout occurrences. Use morning and night. For best
results, use in conjunction with Dermal Therapy Acne Control Wash. To manage breakouts, it is recommended to use Dermal Therapy Acne Spot Cream.

He has struggled for most of his life and we really thought that this would provide some level of hope. He uses it every day religiously and it actually seems to have made it worse. Texture of the product is pleasant and there is no real fragrance.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as hydrating as I would have liked [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Influencer and Dermal Therapy in exchange for my honest review. To start, I have oily and dry/flakey combination skin type. The first thing I noticed was the unpleasant smell, which is what you get with fragrance free skincare I guess, but I did get used to it after a few uses. I love that it comes in a tube rather than a jar like a lot of moisturisers and lotions, it’s less messy and feels a lot more hygienic not having to scoop it out with my fingers. My skin doesn’t tend to tolerate creams very well so I was pleasantly surprised to find the lotion was actually more of a gel. After the first few uses, my skin felt soft and relatively hydrated. The lotion absorbed into my skin quite quickly and didn’t leave me oily afterwards like a lot of other brands do. The more I used it as the three step routine recommended by Dermal Therapy, the dryer and flakier my skin became. My skin would feel stiff after using and it would take awhile for that feeling to go away. After almost 2 weeks of using the three step routine, I decided to stop using the face wash and use my usual products in conjunction with the spot cream and lotion. With using some more hydrating products, the tight feeling after using the lotion has gone and my skin is feeling soft and hydrated again. Although, my skin doesn’t feel refreshed after using the lotion like I do when using my usual moisturiser. So with all of the above considered, I wouldn’t recommend the three step routine to anyone with combination skin, it’s just too drying. I’ll keep using the lotion for now but I’m not sure I will buy it again.

I received the Acne Control Lotion by Dermal Therapy complimentary from Influenster. After using their Acne Control Wash and seeing instant results, I had high hopes for this product. What I found, however, was that while the appearance of my acne was improving, the moisturiser was drying out my skin so significantly that I had to return to my regular moisturiser. I don’t doubt it’s ability to aid in acne control, but the negative side effects were not worth it to me, personally. I also found it to feel very sticky on the skin and would strongly recommend against using it as a base for makeup. Overall, not a product for me but I’m sure it’ll work for someone.

After experiencing my typical skincare routine reacting oddly with the wash, I tried only using the lotion alongside my sunscreen for moisture during the day. I did not find that my skin felt properly moisturised by the lotion compared to my typical moisturizer, and it had a similar scent to the wash but it would linger for longer.
