General Information

Dermal Therapy Acne Control Wash is an ultra gentle
foaming cleanser that is soap & SLS free. Whilst thoroughly cleansing the skin, it effectively unclogs pores without stripping the skin of its essential oils. Most importantly, it is free from Peroxide & Salicylic Acid allowing the skin to maintain a balanced microbiome.

Directions

With clean hands, wet your face & neck then apply Dermal Therapy Acne Control Wash, massaging it in gentle circular motions. Rinse thoroughly and gently pat dry. Use morning and night. For best results, use in conjunction with Dermal Therapy Acne Control Lotion for daily moisturisation. To manage breakouts, it is recommended to use Dermal Therapy Acne Spot Cream.

I massaged it in for 30 seconds as it foamed up and then wiped it off and my face was itchy and irritated

I used this with the lotion and spot cream and the acne I did have cleared up over night. I can’t say for sure though if this product alone would’ve had the same result.

The product is milky in texture but I find that the more you rub it in your face to remove makeup, the more drying it gets. I can see myself using it every now and then when I get bad breakouts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not suited for combination skin type [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Influencer and Dermal Therapy in exchange for my honest review. I was in the middle of a bad breakout when I received this product so I was really excited to try it. I have both oily and dry/flakey combination skin type, so I was hoping it would control my oiliness without being too drying but unfortunately it just made my skin really dry and flakey when using it. The first thing I noticed was the unpleasant smell of the face wash, which is what you get when using fragrance free skincare I guess but it was a bit off-putting. Immediately after using the face wash my face felt tight and dry. After almost 2 weeks of using it I found it didn’t really help with my breakout, my pimples were still just as stubborn and present, and they didn’t go down quicker or become less frequent as I continued to use this product. I also have a lot of redness around my cheeks, forehead and chin that had minimised with the products I usually use, but I found that my skin became really red again once I started using the wash. Since stopping this product and using my usual products, the redness has gone down again. All in all, I didn’t really see any benefits whatsoever, so I probably wouldn’t use this again and I wouldn’t recommend this product.

After a few tries I have decided its not for me. Its also quite thick when it lathers, some people might like that but i felt i had to put more effort into cleansing with this over my regular choices.
