General Information

Dermal Therapy Acne Control Wash is an ultra gentle
foaming cleanser that is soap & SLS free. Whilst thoroughly cleansing the skin, it effectively unclogs pores without stripping the skin of its essential oils. Most importantly, it is free from Peroxide & Salicylic Acid allowing the skin to maintain a balanced microbiome.

Directions

With clean hands, wet your face & neck then apply Dermal Therapy Acne Control Wash, massaging it in gentle circular motions. Rinse thoroughly and gently pat dry. Use morning and night. For best results, use in conjunction with Dermal Therapy Acne Control Lotion for daily moisturisation. To manage breakouts, it is recommended to use Dermal Therapy Acne Spot Cream.

The products seem to have an overall blue packaging which is neither flashy nor extreme. The blue packaging is calming and soothing. I believe it will stand out among other products. At the same time, it will catch people’s attention in a shop. The product labelling shows the purpose of the product, the suitable skin type and country of origin. This is good as it gives clarity for the user about what they are applying on the face. This is rarely seen together in cosmetic products but ought to. The acne control wash package contains 175 mL, which is good because I always spent more quantity on the wash than a cream or lotion. In my experience doesn’t result in chemical dry pulling sensation like other acne products. Instead, it is effective. It has stopped my red itching dry skin.

It has great ingredients and doesn’t sensitise your skin nor does it feel like any oils have been stripped away - which is common with acne washes. You want your skin to feel good while you’re aiming to get rid of all the bad acne causing bacteria and I think this is a good one to try. Just make sure to keep very very moisturised when using anything to combat acne.

I really like how the wash lathers on the face and leaves the skin feeling really clean but not like it had stripped the skin of all moisture. I did not like the scent of the wash when applying, I don’t believe it has any fragrances added as they can be an irritant to the skin but the ‘natural’ scent of the wash itself I did not find pleasant. One other negative I experienced was with how my typical skincare routine would react to my skin after using the wash. I have no explanation for it, but I’d find even my moisturiser on its own with no other skincare products would not absorb into my skin and would just sit on the surface.
