What are hair bonds?

Hair Bonds are protein chains found in the inner most part of the hair, the cortex. When hair is submitted to stress from colouring, styling or simply just brushing these hair bonds can break causing deep damage.

How do you treat broken hair bonds?

Elvive Bond Repair contains Citric Acid which helps build inner broken hair bonds. The molecule is small enough to penetrate deep within the hair to give back its original strength.


When should I use Elvive Bond Repair?

Elvive Bond Repair works on all levels of damaged hair and all hair types. Start with the Bond Repair Pre-shampoo, by applying on damp hair and allowing it to sit for 5 minutes. How to use this conditioner:
After the Bond Repair Rescue Pre-Shampoo and Shampoo, you can apply this conditioner from lengths to tips. Leave it on for three minutes, then rinse.

I might have used too much the first time, though I felt it being absorbed by my hair very quickly. On the second use, I was more sparing, and had the same reaction: the conditioner quickly soaked into the hair and started working. Be careful after rinsing, as the residue can make the floor of the shower slippery. There was a noticeable improvement in my hair's quality in the following days after the full treatment: less flyaway, no new split ends, and even a slight shade lighter than before. I felt like a millionaire after using these products, pampered as though with a full salon treatment.

The mixture was thick which I enjoyed as it made my hair feel well coated when applied. I opted to comb my hair whilst the conditioner was on which is what I normally do and noticed that there was considerably less hair left on my wet brush than with my regular conditioner (which is a super expensive hair dresser only conditioner). After rinsing, my hair was super soft and smelt divine. Would highly recommend this product!

The conditioner was thicker than usually and after a couple uses I started applying less as I realised the bottle is smaller than the shampoo (and I usually finish any conditioner before the shampoo). I guess it must be more concentrated than regular conditioners but it doesn't explain that. It does get absorbed very quickly and once you massage through roots and ends your hair does feel smooth even after rinsing out. I do like the luxuriously thick formula and the way it left my hair frizz free after drying.

When I rinsed my hair it smelt good and felt like some repair had been done which lives up to the whole point of the product. I wouldn't say my hair was shinier at this stage, although there is another step involved.
