Vaginal DrynessAlmost one in two women over 45 suffers from vaginal dryness. However, not only women in the menopause are affected. This problem can also occur in younger women. Vaginal dryness is often accompanied by pain in the genital area, also during sexual intercourse.

What causes Vaginal Dryness?
During the menopause, dryness in the genital area is caused by the decreasing production of female sex hormones (including oestrogens). Less vaginal fluid is produced inside the vagina.
Younger women may also be affected by vaginal dryness, for example after uterine or ovarian surgery, when breastfeeding or taking the pill. Furthermore, chemotherapy, radiation and medication used to treat cancer can also have the side effect of vaginal dryness. Warnings

(e. g. interfering with normal activities) and in case Dr. Wolff's Vagisan Moisturising Cream should not sufficiently alleviate symptoms of vulvovaginal dryness.
Dr. Wolff's V-san Moisturising Cream does not contain any spermicides (i.e. substances that kill sperm) and therefore does not protect against unwanted pregnancy.
Dr. Wolff's V-san Moisturising Cream must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the ingredients. The cream must not be used immediately after childbirth. Similarly, do not use Dr. Wolff's V-san Moisturising Cream if you have a vaginal infection (e. g. thrush); in this event, you should talk to your doctor. If the tube or applicator is damaged, or if there are any changes in the appearance of the cream, do not use the product and inform the manufacturer.

Directions
Dr. Wolff's V-san Moisturising Cream can be used inside the vagina (with an applicator) and on the external genital area.
For use inside the vagina, fill the applicator one-half full with the cream and apply inside the vagina, preferably before going to bed. It can be used once a day or less often as needed, depending on individual symptoms. We recommend wearing a panty liner when using this product.
USAGE ADVICE
Dr. Wolff's V-san Moisturising Cream is intended for application in the vagina and to the external genital area. The cream can be applied with the applicator provided, or without an applicator.
If you use the applicator, fill it halfway (about 2.5 g cream). To make it easier to insert the applicator, a small amount of cream can also be applied to the area around the vaginal entrance. If you prefer not to use the applicator, a ribbon of cream about 2 cm long can be inserted into the vagina using a
clean finger. The cream should be applied daily, preferably in the evening before bedtime (if necessary, wear a panty liner)
