General Information

Swisse Glycolic Acid 8% Brightening Gel Cleanser removes impurities and makeup, while correcting uneven skin tone, texture, and dullness. Formulated with glycolic acid, it supports skin radiance by promoting cell turnover for those with age-related dullness. Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (or AHA) that works to exfoliate the skin.

The gel lathered slightly as I massaged the product into my face. I used a light sponge to gently encourage debridement of dead skin. There was no unpleasant odour, tingling or eye irritation. My skin felt smooth and soft after using and the visual effect of a lovely consistent glow. While I was gifted the product to trial and I will enjoying using the remainder and definitely buy more for further use as I enjoyed it so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glowing skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this cleanser in the morning for a week now, after only a couple of days I was receiving compliments at work as I was ‘glowing’. The cleanser really does brighten your skin, glycolic acid essentially removes the old top layer of skin and reveals the fresh new skin underneath. I wouldn’t recommend the cleanser for sensitive skin as the first time I used it my face went a bit red and patchy but certainly would recommend it for normal skin types.

It comes in a convenient pump packaging with a lock so it's super easy to carry along. It cleans the face well, but doesn't leave it dry. It feels hydrated and clean. Has a subtle fragrance and easy to apply and foam on the skin. Absolutely loving it.

It’s perfect for both myself (with normal - dry skin) and my husband (acne - oily). Our skin seem less dull than before.

I have been using this cleanser for 10 days and so far I have noticed my skin feeling and looking so much fresher, cleaner and my skin tone is looking a lot healthier and brighter. I love that a little bit goes a long way, the size of this package will last quite a long time. Great value for money and I love that it doubles as a makeup remover and cleanser. I would recommend this to anyone wanting brighter fresher looking skin that feels freshly exfoliated and smooth!

I use this on my face and inner thighs and with consistency and persistence I've actually seen improvements. It's so cheap for the grade of Glycolic Acid in comparison to other brands charging more for like 6%. It's a simple yet effective product.

I was quite impressed with how clean it cleanse my skin without drying and not being the foaming type. It helped with removing my make up although less so for days where i wore more make up. I could see that my skin was smoother and brighter and looked forward to using this every day! The pink gel was fun to see and the smell was a little strong but what i expect for glyolic acid.

Being in my early 30s I have noticed my skin tends to look dull at times and I'm always switching up my skincare routine to get the most radiant glow to come through. This cleanser didn't disappoint me, it helped remove all of my days makeup from my face, and left me looking beautiful and fresh again! It's gentle on my skin and doesn't cause any irritation. I'd recommend trying this for aging skin, just make sure to avoid the eye area.

It removes my makeup thoroughly and easily, leaving no mascara residue after just one wash. It leaves a nice smooth, clean feeling on my skin when I rinse it off, but isn't drying. My skin texture was noticeably smoother and softer after just one use, and feels amazing after every wash. My skin has been so clear and happy since using it, and looks healthy. This is a new favourite cleanser for me.

One pump goes a long way doing my face, neck and decolletage. Its really effective in removing makeup and sunscreen at the end of the day, I didn't need to double cleanse to get everything off, but it also didn't leave my skin tight or itchy. After a few weeks of use 2 x daily (once at night and once in the morning) my skin is so soft and the texture is visibly improved. Would repurchase.

I found this product to be super effective in doing this. Its actually become my go to now - I like it that much. My face looks so squeaky clean but it doesn't feel stripped of oils , which I absolutely love. My face definitely looks brighter after use. Will continue to use this - highly recommend. For context, my skin isn't overly sensitive and I've had no issues with it being too much for my skin, I've seen no negative effects from using this product approx. 4-5 times a week.

This was a newbie for me, and I found it to be quite nice on my skin. A slight tingle when first applied but not unbearable. My face felt balanced and bright, hydrated with a nice glow. My skin felt quite even and smoothe. The scent was not overbearing, it was citrus which was paired well with what it claims to do. Love that's its Australian made and science based. I did notice a different with my skin. The only thing I can critique is that it didn't completely remove traces of my make-up after one use, needed to repeat it. Other than that I would defintely buy it again. It was lovely. I was gifted this product to try for my opinion

When using in the shower, my skin did not dry out like it does with other cleansers, it was still smooth and silky. Does not clog my skin and didn't cause any breakouts. I didn't notice a huge difference in my uneven skin tone but I will continue to use to see if it works in the long term. I will recommend this cleanser to people who want a daily cleanser that doesn't dry out your skin

After using this Gel I noticed that my skin looked more revitalised and my skin tone was more radiant. I liked that the product is not tested on animals and there isn’t any harmful chemicals or preservatives and that it’s made in Australia. There was also easy to read instruction of how to use the product.
