Swisse Glycolic Acid 8% Brightening Gel Cleanser removes impurities and makeup, while correcting uneven skin tone, texture, and dullness. Formulated with glycolic acid, it supports skin radiance by promoting cell turnover for those with age-related dullness. Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (or AHA) that works to exfoliate the skin.

It removes makeup like a pro, leaving my skin feeling fresh and squeaky clean (without the squeak, and not too drying). After a few days of use, I started to notice my skin tone looking smoother, more even, and dare I say, radiant! 💁‍♀️ And I think it’s helped my skin’s texture feel soft, i have been away on a trip for 7 days and i didn't take it with me and i can definitely see a difference when im not using it. Initially on first use the pump was a bit “clunky” but got better the more I used it. I only needed 2 pumps of the cleanser to cover my face and neck area. It felt silky smooth on applying and made a slight lather as I used circling motions on my skin. It seemed to easily cleanse off all of my makeup and left my skin feeling hydrated and soft. Smelt very nice too.

I really enjoyed using this product. It left my skin feeling clean and refreshed, without that dry stripped feeling. It really made my skin feel clean and soft after use. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the scent of this brightening gel cleanser but the results I saw with my skin made up for it! I have texture issues and some patchy redness occasionally, both seem improved since introducing this cleanser, and my skincare always absorbs a little better when my skin feels this clean. I actually like the smell too, some cleansers smell far too strong but this just smells purposeful. Will be leaving this in prime position on the shower shelf.

The cleanser did not sting my eyes. My skin was clean and clear - the cleanser removed my waterproof mascara and foundation and when I wiped my face, there were no marks on my white face towel. At the end of the week, my skin was even toned, clearer and brighter.

It isn't too stripping during these warmer months, although it might be a bit too drying during the winter for me specifically so it's definitely a spring/summer face wash. I have noticed a slight reduction in my hyperpigmentation from my small acne breakouts, in that it's clearing up slightly quicker.

I have a pigment skin specially around my chin. Within a week of using it, I started noticing difference on how my skin looked even and brighter. It has glycolic acid which means it’s a 2 step skin care in 1. You don’t need a lot of product when using and it lasts for long. I normally have a heavy makeup on and the cleanser does wonders in removing and cleaning my pores. I absolutely recommend it for people with pigmented skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective cleansing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to try the Swisse Glycolic Acid 8% Brightening Gel Cleanser and this formula, which contains glycolic acid, really helped my skin feel regenerated and cleansed. It comes in a 120mL pump pack and all I needed was one generous pump to thoroughly clean my face which on some days had make-up and other days was make-up free. On days which I had make-up on, usually BB cream and bronzer, it removed all make-up leaving my skin clear and fresh. On days with no make-up, dirt and pollution from being outdoors, was removed leaving little impurities. I found the formula gentle enough for my skin type too. Over time I have noticed that together with the cleansing, my skin tone looks refreshed and even. I think the glycolic acid is gentle and has a somewhat exfoliating effect which is leaving my skin feeling re-energized. I am enjoying the effects of using this Swiss cleanser and would happily recommend it to anyone.
